I'm a Fine Artist with a BFA in Children's Illustration from Moore College of Art and Design, Phila., PA. For over 40 years, my passion and joy has been Children's Illustration, creating art for children’s picture books, in particular. From a courageous little boy fighting a mountain of dirty laundry, to a drowsy little New England village that suddenly explodes with excitement during an annual summer festival - their stories are my delight! I specialize in works on paper using rich colors in gouache, and watercolor to create hidden creatures that unfold their own dramas and interests throughout the story with composition and humor. While watercolor, gouache, pastel, and pen/ink are my preferred mediums, I also employ my digital tools (i.e. Photoshop) to further expand my palette and offer a greater range of creativity.
