Eggie has been jammin’ it out and butterin’ it up for several years now, but a little over a year ago, got some extra encouragement from a couple of friends to start slingin’ jam on the side. It wasn’t long after that Eggie sold her first jar of butter and jam at the Botetourt County Farmer’s Market with flavor profiles like Jalapeno Peach, Bourbon Peach, Ginger Peach, and Habanero Peach. In flew Citrus Peach, Strawberry Bourbon, Honey Peach, and even Strawberry Peach - all available in butter AND jam. The combinations seemed endless and as the peach season came to a close, well … it was time to hit up some new flavor combos and still keep with the theme of all fresh ingredients. Why? ‘Cause we don’t do junk. 2018 came to a close with some seriously amazing jams like Cranberry Ginger, Pineapple Ginger, Blueberry Jalapeno, and Blackberry Lime. And, as we roll into 2019, Eggie is working on some new jams that are guaranteed to blow you away, while also working to have her recipes and canning processes approved for resale. What does this mean for Eggie’s loyal followers? Well, it means you may see Eggie Lope’s jams and butters available in stores near you! Until then, she’ll keep slingin’ those insane flavor combinations at the local farmers’ markets and doing her usual deliveries. Heck, she’ll even pack it up and mail it out to you if you aren’t local. 2019 is shaping up to be a great year and Eggie appreciates your love and support!
