I commissioned Akke Functional Art to make a piece for a fundraising gala to benefit a charity I work with. Axel Yberg went above and beyond with his creativity in coming up with a concept that honestly blew me away. His attention to detail, professionalism and raw talent is unparalleled. The piece is absolutely gorgeous and is now prominently on display in my home, where it serves quite literally as a functional piece of art. I can't wait to add to my collection!

i am fortunate to have pieces created and produced by Akke Functional Art. I wanted a contemporary look with architectural and clean design ,as well as being functional. Axel Yberg, founder and artist of Akke Functional Art, designed an entertainment unit that is the focal point in my living area. It is not only a unique art form, but a completely functional unit to accommodate all of the media equipment. He also designed a coffee table consisting of glass, wood and steel. The composition gives the impression of movement. Once again, the piece is useful as well as art. As we worked on some of the items, other areas evolved into the design theme. Axel designed two steel, wood and mirrored book cases, as well as a new staircase of the same media. I found Akke Functional Art to be fair in price, superior in craftsmanship and a pleasure to work with.

Our reception area needed a dramatic piece, one that would create attention, be provocative and evoke a sense of passion in the mind of the person viewing the piece. Axel Yberg, the founder of Akke Functional Art did this and so much more. He create a sense of what our business was all about through a balanced mix of different mediums to communicate our mission through his vision. Visitors, whether clients or friends all are drawn into the piece, create dialogue and they provide us with their feelings which is exactly what we hoped would happen. Talent like Axel's is truly unique and one that deserved high praise. We are indeed fortunate to have this artwork to enjoy for years and years to come.

He built an AMAZING custom piece for our hair salon.. for our color area, he made a huge concrete slab webbed together with pink steel pipes. I've never seen anything like it.. it's beautiful and you can tell it will last FOREVER. Axel has made many custom pieces for us and we plan to purchase many more. I highly recommend.

Axel and team from Akke Functional Art are extremely talented and professional when approaching all projects. Axel and Katharine Jessica Interior Design, LLC have collaborated together to create unique and functional furniture pieces. In Axel's "Second Chances" collection he designed Pingtuated Equilibripong which is an industrial style ping pong table that can also be used as a dining table. This ping pong table was the highlight of the 2011 Mansions and Millionaires Designer Showcase.

Akke Functional Art is an amazing commpany. The owner Axel is so innovative, talented and extremely easy to work with. I love his designs/art; he is a truly creative builder. The table that we have from him is always the number one conversation piece in our home. I suggest everyone gets on the Akke Functional Art train before he takes over the design world!
