JD is the opposite of every other photographer in that he only uses the negative of his images, meaning all the darks and lights are reversed in his work. This technique renders the photos like watercolor paintings, but with all the complexity of the real natural phenomenon. This is unique to his work. The pieces are typically facemounted with 1/4" acrylic in a floating, frameless style.
