Jon Michael Route

We met Jon at the Philadelphia Museum of Art annual juried show, and loved his work. He was pleasant and very easy to work with. We commissioned a piece, based on one we saw in the show. It was for over our fireplace and we wanted a somewhat different size, and colors than the one he had on display. We emailed him photos of the location and listed our color choices. He sent back sizing and colors for approval, and sent pictures of the work in progress, all the way up until final approval. Jon sent the piece very carefully and safely packaged, and we love it! It is the focal point of our living room and is admired by all who see it.

We saw Jack Route's work at the American Craft Council and fell in love with it. We ended up commissioning him to create a custom fireplace surround. He stopped by our home following the show to take measurements. Shortly we got a sketch of what he envisioned, which we loved. My husband worked with him to ensure a proper fit, and a just a few months later, our beautiful fireplace surround arrived - a perfect fit. It's the focal point of our living room.

Jon Michael Route exhibited in the Hudson Hospital & Clinics Healing Arts Program. His metal sculpture has a delicate balance of color and texture which elevates ordinary elements - leaves, birds, landscapes, water, - to beautiful and expressive views of our natural world. Route's work has the uncommon and unique blend of an impressive technical skill and a sophisticated aesthetic. All of his work was very well received by patients, families, and staff and elicited many spontaneous favorable comments. Route is professional and a delight to work with.

Jon Micheal Route's metal art objects were a highlight of the Philadelphia Craft Convention. It was so easy to hang up my new artwork and I am happy to know I have a unique piece of art.
