Off The Wall Designs

I would highly reccommend Off the Wall Designs.. Elaine was very professional and enjoyable to have in our home as well as very talented. She designed our four year old sons' bedroom who will be sharing with his baby sister when she arrives in November. Elaine was able to make a little boys room mesh perfectly with a sweet baby girls' nursery. To achieve this task, the whole room was painted grey, then on my sons' side, 8 inch stripes were added in yellow. Above his bed, his name was painted in stars, which really appear to be popping off his wall, he loves it. On our baby girls side the strips change to lavendar and a crown with her initial was hung above her crib w fabric draping her crib. I could not be more thrilled to have such a darling room for my children, it is a room you can't help but smile when you enter.

I wanted the pantry door to stand out in my kitchen so I hired Off The Wall Design to help me. It was just plain old white so the first step was to paint it a contrasting color. Then Elaine glazed it to give it a vintage look. She put a finishing touch on it by handcrafting a "Pantry " sign. A simple project that gave my kitchen a unique feel. Elaine is a very talented decorator.

Elaine Shumaker is a delightful person to work and is very professional and knowledgeable. I had Elaine paint an outdoor mural on my basement wall and she was great! She came over to the house, we discussed a lot of different ideas, and she had pictures of other work that she had done as well as books that provided a lot of different ideas. Once we settled on a design, she provided a sample board of her design, and the overall work came out so much better. The painted brick looked so real, people would actually go up and touch it! In addition, Elaine completed the job in a very timely manner and was very accurate in her estimate so there were no surprises at the end. I also contacted the Roane County Newspaper to do a story on Off the Wall Designs and they came out and interviewed her and took pictures. Would I hire Elaine again…..You BET.

Elaine upholstered 6 dining room chairs with lumbar pillows. From start to finish Elaine was extremely professional in explaining our various options and the affect on the budget. She completed the project within budget. Her attention to detail was excellent and she completed the project on time as promised. The experience was such that I had her upholster (and rebuild to some degree) an old chair and ottoman with the same positive results. I plan to continue to use her and her expertise in the future.
