Pamela Staker Studio

As an interior architect, I often recommend artists and commission art for my projects. I love working with Chicago artist, Pamela Staker. She is not only an excellent artist but she is a skilled communicator, able to explain her work and understand what our clients seek. We worked closely with our client to define the scale, concept and color palette for each painting, using sketches and computer photo mock-ups throughout the process. I have worked with Pamela on two commission - one was a reclining figure and the other a large abstract. I saw Pamela's work displayed in a show last spring at "The Golden Triangle". I was taken with her use of color and even though the paintings were modern ...I could see various shapes and objects in them that appealed to me. My husband and I had been looking for a modern piece for a large and prominent wall in our dining room. We called her after going on her website and went to see her at her studio. She was welcoming, helpful and very friendly. She made us very comfortable as neither of us are art specialists...we just know what we like! After discussing our needs and talking about what we liked...she came to our home to see the space. She was a delight to work with and very helpful. She was able to customize the piece we liked as far as size, color and composition. She brought with another piece we had seen at her studio. It did not work where we first thought but after Pam's input...we were able to use it in our bedroom grouped with two of our own posters. Now it looks as if it was painted especially for that spot! Her knowledge and love of her work made her easy to work with...she met the deadline we set for her and when she came out on the assigned day to do the installation...she even helped us move a few other pieces and make sure everything was hung correctly. I would recommend Pamela without hesitation.

I have been showing Pamela’s artwork for over 5 years now with great success. To bring such a remarkable artist to show in Nashville is a rare opportunity and it’s a breath of fresh air to work with such a professional and gracious artist. Last summer I had the pleasure of placing over 10 of Pamela’s original paintings and works on paper at Vanderbilt University.
