This is a very small operation; what we in Montana call Self-Employed. My background is a Bachelor of Fine Arts 1976 and a Master of Arts 1978. The pottery was established in 1991 as Harpfarm Pottery Works, now Lisa Ernst Porcelain: 26years! Living in rural Montana, my markets were quite limited to local and regional cities, especially Helena. The internet markets have been evolving new opportunity. Here on Houzz you'll see my handmade porcelain sinks, large wall hanging platters each a variation of the ones seen; tea pots and my signature vase. Each one is hand thrown, hand decorated and fired to extremely high temperature. The teapots and vases are made from high quality English Porcelain called Grollegg. It has an extremely white creamy color, giving my glazes their saturated color. The designs are hand drawn, inlaid colors(lines) or etched(raised) then painted with washes and cleared glazed. There are very strong Asian influences as well as the flora and fauna of Montana.
