Serving Slabs

After climbing the corporate ladder in the construction industry, Wendy and Derrick Neikam created Serving Slabs, located in Salida, CO. They became aware of the excessive material waste created and disposed of from construction projects and discovered that there was a need to re-purpose earth’s beautiful material. Serving Slabs works closely with countertop fabricators to divert remnants from going to landfills. We are passionate about our mission and embody a zero waste policy. Since 2011, Serving Slabs re-purposed approximately 750,000 pounds of granite. Each year we find new ways to divert additional remnant granite from entering a landfill. Creating beautiful home décor items that our customers love is very rewarding. We are always looking for new ideas, feel free to share yours with us. The more we create, the more we divert!
