I hope you are well.

I am sorry to see that you have followed through on your promise to tell everyone how unhappy you are with your countertops. Our efforts at the time to alleviate your unhappiness were for naught.

You purchased a natural stone material. The inherent beauty of granite is the multitude of veining, mineral flecks, and endless character. Unlike many man made products out there, natural stones each have their own story to tell with their movement, variations and the very fact of being created millions of year ago.

The actual slabs used in your countertop were seen by yourself both before being cut AND during the cutting process. There were three visible veins in the material. After installation you insisted these were cracks in the material. After trying to explain they were not cracks but actual veins in the stone, Creative Surfaces gave you a 10 year warranty that the top would not break at the veins. We also offered to tear out the countertops at no cost and fabricate new tops in another color for the difference in cost of material only. Your response was that you would keep the countertops but that you would tell everyone how unhappy you were.

It is unfortunate that you saw fit to attempt to tarnish our reputation rather than working this out to your satisfaction as we had hoped. Why would you want to keep a countertop that you believe is cracked? Seems strange to us unless you just wanted a large discount. It is our hope that we can put the negativity behind us and move on.
