Solitro Tile

Solitro Tile is an owner-operated company, which has serviced the Boston, Metro-west and Worcester area since 1998. This company has been built from the ground up from a hardworking businessman named Matt Solitro. Matt was born and raised in Worcester. He is a graduate of North High School. After graduation, he attended Millbury Carpenters Training facility for four years and received a Journeyman certificate. While working on this certificate he began his employment with the Kessli and Morse and began his work for the Carpenters Union in the local 107 in 1985. He worked locally with Kessli and Morse for 5 years then his work brought him out to Boston to work for four more years with the Boston Floor covers union 2168. In his last two years in the union, he was a foreman for a company out of New York; he was in charge of all the work for that company in the Massachusetts area. While a foreman, he supervised fifteen men. During his time spent in the union, Matt developed and mastered his commercial floor covering skills. In 1998, Matt decided to take his knowledge and tile installation skills into self- employment. As the sole proprietor of his own company he was able to work in the field that he enjoyed while being able to take his workmanship to a new level. While maintaining commercial accounts he began expanding into the residential arena. He continued to push his talents to the extreme and has become one of the areas most talented and requested custom tile installers. Along with his own work, Matt installs tile in kitchens and bathrooms for several kitchen and design companies in the area as well as working on tile installations for new construction homes for builders. Outstanding customer service is one of the main reasons that customers and businesses have Matt do their tile installations. He takes the time to go and look at each job individually and give the customer his undivided attention. Matt installs all of his own work, he wants to ensure that each customer has the best quality installation and a level of workmanship that is second to none.
