In 1999, Lenny Cushing established Zenstoneworks in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to provide concrete, tile, and stonework services to the Seacoasts of NH, ME and MA.. With over a combined 50 years of experience passed down through generations of family, we embrace the principles of ingenuity, detail, and customization. Our approach and execution combine the best of old-world techniques with modern science, research, and tooling. Both traditional materials from nature and contemporary, sustainable options such as concrete and glass are used to bring about the client’s vision of beauty, function, and comfort for both indoor and outdoor living spaces. Zenstoneworks continues to pursue the most advanced techniques and environmentally friendly materials that the industry has to offer. We are a full service retail showroom displaying ceramic & porcelain tile, glass tile, natural stone tile and counter top products for your home or business. We offer cash & carry transactions on tiles, grouts, mortars & substrates ( including Wedi ) up to full installation projects for kitchens, bathrooms, floors, fire place surrounds and more. We take great pride in offering exceptional customer service throughout the design and building process, along with the highest-quality craftsmanship.

We purchased a new home in Portsmouth and wanted to upgrade the Master Bathroom. This is the second project we collaborated with Zen Stoneworks and, as previously, we were thrilled with the finished product. Zen took up the existing tile floor and removed the existing oversized shower. They took my vision/design and installed a heat kit beneath new tile floor and created our new shower. We love it and highly recommend Lenny, Mark, Keith and the rest of the staff - you won’t be disappointed.

We knew we wanted quartz countertop and he showed us all of our different options. From the time we placed our order to the completion of project was like clockwork. We purchased penny round tile for a backsplash to complement our quartz countertops. Zen was excellent in assisting us with our choice of tile and grout to match. Their installation team was also excellent and they came in right at their price estimate which was very reasonable. I will use them again and highly recommend.

Life Styled Interior Design

Zen Stoneworks is my go to tile supplier in Portsmouth. As an interior design professional, I like to bring my clients to locally owned business with a more personal atmosphere, and that is exactly what Zen offers. Because I work with so many different budgets, it is very helpful that Zen carries such a large selection of tile with a wide range of price points. The customer service in the store is wonderful and every employee that I have worked with at Zen is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about every product in the store. Truly a great place to check out if you are renovating your kitchen or bathroom!
