We just completed the construction of our new home here in the Heber City, Utah area. Our builder was Phillips Development. We couldn't be happier with the quality of work that Phillips did for us. Josh is timely and responsive to every call and question, and his work is second to none. Our home is beautifully done and careful attention was paid to every detail. I give Josh and his team at Phillips Development our highest recommendation, and is worth every star of the 5-stars we are giving him in this review.

We moved into our new home this fall which was constructed by Josh Phillips of Phillips Development. It has been my experience that the Contractor, his or her skill level, creativity, integrity and character make all the difference in securing the right person with whom we engage in business. Josh is just such a person and far more. Our new home is extraordinary- an award winner- as was every step of the way of the process with him. When we called, he not only answered or returned our calls quickly but always has taken it to the next step of securing answers, costs or the right specialists. As we lived over two thousand miles away having a totally trustworthy Contractor was mandatory. Being a detailed and involved type person, it is too big a process and takes too much time and money not to have the very best professional leading the way. All those assets and Josh is a really nice, good person, as well! We highly recommend Josh Phillips for your building project.

Phillips Development built my family a beautiful contemporary home in Park City. Josh Phillips is an amazing builder that uses the finest and most reliable contractors to build your dream home. Before we began construction, Josh sat down with my wife and I to understand exactly what we wanted to ensure everything was incorporated into our home. Are you going to build your dream home? Phillips Development will make it a dream come true. We first used Phillips Development 8 years ago to do a complete kitchen remodel, front door replacement, new stucco siding, etc. Josh Phillips hooked us up with a cabinet maker that did a fantastic job as did all the other subs for a good price. We were nervous ripping up our house for the remodel but all went as planned and we were very happy with the results. We are in our 60’s now and wanted to build our dream retirement home so we contacted Josh who hooked us up with a home designer and we got the plans drawn for our home. The lot was a prior purchase and the plan was designed to maximize the location. Josh uses computer software to schedule the build out and all the owner choices interior and exterior. We relied on his expertise to make choices that come up when building and we added things like a media room fireplace and large cement courtyard that were not part of the original plan. We even got an exercise room out of a dead space that was in the plan for roof trusses. He saw an opportunity for an extra space with a small change in the framing process and for little extra cost we got an additional small room. Building a custom home can be very nerve racking but Phillips Development helped us with all the decisions. Look at their work and remember what Josh has as a slogan—“When we are finished you will be happy!” I have used him twice and I will vouch for that. Josh Phillips is building a second home for us in Park City, UT. We are from Massachusetts so designing and building a home on the other side of the country was a worry for us. We discovered Josh on houzz after finding photos of other houses he had built in Park City. Before starting construction, we spent a lot of time together while he helped us to evaluate our site and choose an architect. Josh is honest and hard working, and he has come up with creative ideas that have pushed our thinking and improved our home in many ways. Phillips Development performed a major reconstruction and thorough remodel of our Old Town Park City, Utah home, down to the last detail. The remodel transformed our home into a contemporary, Architectural Digest, quality showpiece. We selected Phillips Development after interviewing several builders during a Parade of Exclusive Homes tour in the summer of 2011. The quality of their product stood out, and we found the personality and design style of the owner, Josh Phillips, to be compatible to our own. We could not have been more pleased with our decision. Josh, and his honest, hard-working, clean crew of craftsmen delivered a beautiful result on schedule and within our budget expectations. Josh really knows all aspects of his business from raw construction to helping with style and color choices, and everything in between. There were 100s, if not 1000s, of decisions to be made on our project and Josh guided us to the right solution during the course of our 15 month project. Our reconstruction and remodel comprised significant exterior and interior structural changes to the home including the kickout of an exterior wall and roof line; relocation, addition and elimination of many doors and windows; removal of major interior walls; replacement and redesign of radiant heating system, addition of a fireplace; relocation and reconstruction of the main house kitchen; remodel of the caretaker's apartment; redesign and re-layout of four bathrooms; installation of extensive new cabinetry and countertops; installation of wood flooring and tile; replacement of all doors, trim and baseboards; and installation of audio-video and lighting control systems. In summary, this project was just a few steps short of teardown and reconstruction. We were fortunate to have selected a contractor with the vision, and up-to-date depth and breadth of knowledge of homebuilding, to bring what we felt was an unsurmountable challenge to a successful conclusion. I hired Phillips Development to build a ski home for me in a high end ski in out community in Park CIty, Ut. Josh Phillips has an incredible vision for custom built high end homes. He was honest and meticulous about every step from start to finish, no surprises. I especially liked the updated photos of the home placed in my dropbox every week.
