Decor Carpet One

Bill and Anthony were very polite and professional. They did an outstanding job installing my new kitchen and utility room linoleum. It looks fantastic and I am very pleased with Decor Carpet One. The price was very reasonable. I would hire them again!

Décor did an Allstate insurance repair of 4 floor boards and 2 kick boards in my kitchen just in front and beside my dishwasher. They then wanted 1000.00. Questioning this huge bill for a few hours work, Allstate shared their estimate which included full floor replacement, debris removal, appliance movement, etc......all which was NOT performed at a cost of $1370.00+. Confronting them with this fabricated estimate, they reduced the bill to $1050.00 and claimed they had 6 hours labor on site. They also stated they had a "minimum charge" for small jobs, which was NOT mentioned at the time of the estimate. I specifically asked for an estimate to replace the 4 floor boards and 2 trim, to which they should have replied that they do not do "small" jobs and/or they have a minimum charge. I assume they knew my deductible was $1000.00 and fully intended to charge me that minimum amount for my small job. When they showed up for the repair, they had no kick board material. Also, the tabs on the floorboards were different. This caused an hour and a half delay (problem?) to which I suggested they cut the tab off and butt the boards together. Also, at my suggestion, they cut a board in half so that a kickboard be made that matched the floor. They then completed the job in about an 1 and 1/2 hours, with a total on-site time of 3 hours (6 hrs charged). They also refused to submit an accurate bill of work performed to myself and to Allstate. They kept the original estimate with two line items marked "flooring" and removed the "appliance and debris" items. Totally dishonest contractor that ripped off myself and Allstate insurance with sub-par work and not having all materials to complete the job when scheduled.

We had a flood in our basement and had Ian come out and give us a bid to replace the carpet. The price was right, everything went as planned and we love our carpet! Special compliments for Ian whose professionalism and experience was most appreciated! Showroom personnel were also very courteous and helpful! Would not hesitate to recommend!
