The Flooring Source did an exceptional job installing hardwood and carpeting in my home and I am so thankful that I found these guys. I had just about given up and was totally dismayed by the installers I’d gotten quotes from when I stumbled into the Flooring Source’s store and breathed a sigh of relief that I finally found a reputable and experienced flooring company with fair pricing that made me feel confident my new floors would be installed correctly.
Ellen, the office manager, is extremely nice, patient, and knowledgeable. She was very helpful in regard to samples and was always right there with any questions I had. Pete, the guy who measures, was on time, professional, and polite. Steve, the owner of The Flooring Source, is one of the most genuinely nice guys I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing and he really takes pride in his company which showed throughout the entire process of having my new flooring installed.
The pre-install phase (looking at samples, getting the quote, etc.) was 100% stress-free. No particular product was ever pushed on me, there was zero sales pressure, pricing was upfront and honest, and every question I had was answered.
My townhouse is about 30 years old and my subfloors were not perfect. A neighbor’s bad wood install (done by someone else) had me worried too. But I am beyond thrilled with the job they did. The hardwood crew did my first staircase, entrance landing, and living room in beautiful white oak. Unlike several installers that wanted to go tight again the baseboard or put shoe molding, these guys took the time to do it right. They also did a luxury vinyl plank flooring (LVP) in a bathroom which came out wonderful.
For my second staircase, upstairs hallway, and two bedrooms, I chose a patterned carpet and knew that it would only look amazing if someone really took their time and cared about the job. Steve, the owner, told me his carpet crew was meticulous and he was right; David and his nephew Fernando did an amazing job!
Both crews were on time, worked steadily, were very polite, kept dust to a minimum, always cleaned up before they left, and it was very clear they are craftsmen who know what they’re doing and care about doing it right.
Steve kept in touch throughout the process, called me directly when there were small hiccups (for example, stair treads took a bit longer to come in than expected), responded immediately when I had any concerns, and came to check on the job several times which meant a lot to me.
I have a few other rooms that I’d like to have done in the future and will, without doubt, have the Flooring Source install them. I look forward to dropping by the store when I’m in Middleton just to say hello to this great group of people.
