We couldn't be happier with the work Sean did on our home. We have an older house with a very cluttered back entry that doubled as our laundry area, and Sean came up with a creative solution we never would have imagined. He transformed that space into a beautiful, functional mudroom while utilizing other wasted space in the house to create an amazing laundry closet complete with a sink. The new layout has had such a positive impact on our family of five. Our home is more organized, more functional, and simply works so much better for our daily lives. Throughout the entire project, Sean was incredibly detail-oriented, thoughtful, and professional. I always trusted that he was going to do the right thing and do it the right way, never cutting corners. His craftsmanship and integrity really stood out, and it gave us complete confidence throughout the renovation. If you're looking for a contractor who is honest, creative, and takes pride in delivering quality work, I can't recommend Sean highly enough.

We hired Able Body for a full transformation of our upstairs and couldn't recommend them more. The project involved knocking down an old wall, opening up the kitchen for an open-floor plan, and then gutting and completely renovating the kitchen. We also moved a basement staircase to come off of the upstairs hallway instead of the kitchen, freeing up a ton of room. Sean and Aidan handled the project from end to end and were easy to work with and efficient, with an amazing attention to detail. Now we have a beautiful open kitchen with new floors, cabinets, fixtures, tile and appliances - and a big pantry where our staircase used to take up too much room. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Sean and Aiden knocked down a wall dividing our kitchen and living room. The end result was better than we could have ever imagined. They took care of every detail and communicated with us during the whole project. They were honest and the quality of the work was 10/10. I would recommend them for any project!

I rarely feel compelled to rate a construction project prior to completion. However, we are having a unique experience with this team. They are incredibly professional, pleasant, and reliable. We took our time selecting a team to work with. We (my husband and I) agree that this team led by Sean Bowler is the best around. And, yes, we have had a lot of work done around our home. Overall I was very happy with their service. Sean was personable, honest and communicated well. Quality of work was high, and the price was reasonable. What impressed me most had to do with our project. We asked for a demo of the existing deck, and to build a new one of approximately the same size. Once the demo was complete we discovered rot along the sill plate, which required structural work to the frame of the house. Sean took pictures and video tape of the damage, and talked us through how this changed the scope, (cost and timing of the project). Around the same time, my wife and I had a surprise expense (sewer line replacement) that was also costly. Sean took this into consideration, and completed the re-framing project for basically material cost (e.g. no labor cost). The framing was certainly outside the initial scope of the project, but instead of using that as an opportunity to turn a greater profit, Sean acted with integrity and kindness. He also worked nights and weekends to attempt to make up for the lost time due to the increased scope of the project. I would certainly contract with Able Body Construction again in the future, and would recommend them to both friends and family.

Sean and his team did a great job with our kitchen. Their attention to detail is what really stands out, whether it be with final finishes, or thinking out custom solutions to unforeseen issues. Sean and Aiden built a deck for our above ground pool. We were extremely happy with the work – their attention to detail, professionalism, friendliness, very easy to talk to, always able to get in touch with him with any questions. Sean and and his son Aiden have worked with us on many TYA Summer Musical Theatre presentations constructing professional level and complex theatrical sets. Even though this was slightly out of their wheelhouse, they applied their creativity and problem solving talents to construct beautiful and technically difficult sets that are truly AMAZING! They are also hardworking, dependable, community minded and a real pleasure to work with.

Did a 100% replacement on an original 1957 full bathroom and refreshed our half bath also circa 1957. Very happy with both jobs and 3 years later all work looks great. Sean had to deal with old tile, old pipes and old tub/sink and toilet. He did a great job!

We had Able install modifications to our garage (new stairs, landing, widened doorways, etc) to facilitate putting in a new wheelchair lift and improve accessibility to our in-law apartment for my handicapped sister-in-law. They did great work.

I hired Able Body Construction to finish my parent's basement and I am thrilled with the finished product! I was able to oversee this project from my own home which is 3,000 miles away because Sean's communication skills were excellent from start to finish. Incredible Positive and Successful Experience with Able Body Construction I bought a house on Lake Zoar three years ago. The exterior of the house was a complete disaster, trees fallen from the 2018 tornado. My vision was to build a large deck - size 32 ft by 24 ft, and an oversized cabana bar. Being in large commercial construction all my career, I was experienced with the design development and construction process. I met with Sean Bowler in January 2021. I knew Sean as his son was dating my daughter. We collectively agreed that he would be the contractor. Construction started in March 2021 on the outside improvements: 1 ) building a 32 by 24 composite deck supported by helical drilled anchors cantilevered over a steep hill 2) building a new stairway to the house- consisting of 39 risers and a tread width of 18 and 24 inches 3) building a full 14 ft by 11 ft cabana bar, including old chestnut beams and old barnwood planks 4) building a specialized guard rail system with Hogs Rail - totally unique 4) building an outdoor shower and portico With any project that an owner is hiring a contractor, the owner must know what they want, be communicative to the contractor, and provide feedback. The layout and prep work figuring out a project is critical to its success. Sean and I planned the work for weeks in February 2021. We spent a large amount of time surveying the layout of the project. Sean would come to work prepared and researched, with dimensioned drawings to review.. The craftsmanship of Sean and Aidan , as well as their determination and hard work led to a beautiful outcome. Sean is thoughtful, cares deeply about his work, is loyal to his client, and tries hard to offer suggestions to gain a better project. Able Body Construction just finished a complete renovation of the kitchen, dining room, living room and foyer of a home I recently purchased. I can’t possibly express how pleased I am with the wonderful work that Sean and his son Aidan performed - both of these men are talented craftsmen! As is the case with many older homes, my kitchen was closed off to the living and dining areas except for two small doorways, the linoleum was worn, the cabinets and Formica counters aged, and the lighting was terrible. Furthermore, the hardwood floors were destroyed and the ceilings featured a mid-20th century swirled plaster effect. Yuck! Sean and his crew removed the walls between the three areas creating an open floor plan, installed recessed LED lighting, a new window, and door to the rear deck, new cabinets, new porcelain tile floor, elegant granite countertops, all new appliances, new tile, treads, rails and balusters in the foyer. The piece de resistance is a custom-built island which features a handcrafted top made of reclaimed barn wood - the result is STUNNING!!! The crew also re-plastered the ceilings throughout the second floor and refinished the floors throughout. Everything is gorgeous, light, bright, open, airy and new! I am thrilled! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Able Body Construction for their craftsmanship, vision, the value provided, communication and love of what they do! ¦ 5-STAR AMAZING ! Liked them so much, I invited them for a second project-renovating a dilapidated deck with multiple building code violations.

Able Body Construction performed a full renovation of the first floor of our home including the kitchen, living room and an adjacent den area. We had recently purchased our home and wanted to create an open floor plan by removing a 20+ foot wall, updating flooring and installing all new cabinets and appliances. Throughout the project Sean and his son Aidan were highly professional, hard working and talented craftsmen. Like any project we encountered problems - missed by our home inspector - such as faulty electrical DIY wiring and code violations that were downright dangerous. ABC corrected all of the issues and worked with us to keep the budget manageable.
