Alan was absolutely excellent to work with throughout our renovation. He is dependable and reliable. We were on a specific timeline and Alan set appropriate expectations and delivered. He replaced our popcorn ceilings with new sheet rock (this was NOT a small job), replaced all of the insulation throughout the house, oversaw new carpet install and painting throughout the house. Quality work, on-time and within budget, and knowledgeable. Overall, Alan was wonderful and we highly recommend.

I was introduced to Alan Mann in October of 2015 through another builder in the Lake Winnipesaukee area. I had contacted the first builder and I was told that he was booked during the time frame that I was looking to build. The builder then told me told me to contact Alan Mann to see if he was available for the project. The builder told me that I would be lucky if Alan was available and boy was he correct. Within a week of contacting Alan he arrived at my home. Alan was friendly, positive about my project and a pleasure to deal with. He immediately took a personal interest in my project which was a log home addition which can be challenging at times. The project involved attaching an 1100 square foot log home addition with 18 foot high ceilings to a 1970’s ranch house. I purchased the log home package through Coventry Log Homes. Alan worked directly with the log home manufacturer to make sure that all of the details were covered. In addition he provided me guidance on several cost saving ideas to utilize during the construction process. The end product was a beautiful log home addition. Alan and his crew completed the project with excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. The project was also completed on time and more importantly on budget. I would highly recommend Alan Mann Construction for your next project.

My project consisted of rebuilding the outside of my 1795 cape. The work included replacing some damaged wall framing, insulation, sheathing, windows and siding. As the work proceeded we decided to add a 32' x 10' screened in farmers porch on the back side of the house The roof was also reworked to accommodate a new metal roof . Alan's company completed the project in-house without the aid of subcontractors. I recommend Alan to anyone that is looking for a experienced, skilled contractor that communicates well and charges a fair price.

We contracted Alan to add a sunroom to our Ashland home in the summer of 2015. Alan was very helpful with the planning and scheduling of the project. The work was started on the scheduled date and framing and sheathing were completed within two weeks. Windows and doors were ordered during the planning stage and arrived shortly after completion of the sheathing. We planned to heat the addition with a gas fireplace and Alan coordinated the electrical work to coincide withe the fireplace installation. When decisions had to be made during construction Alan explained the issue and offered suggestions. We couldn't be more pleased with the construction process and ultimately the finished product. We highly recommend Alan Mann Construction.

Alan Mann Construction recently finished a new construction garage at my residence. When I began searching for a contractor to complete this I was given his name by a highly recommended excavation professional. It is extremely difficult to find responsive building professionals in this area. Alan was the only one who made sure he met with us prior to giving us a quote (rather than just emailing plans as others had done) and also presented this quote to us in person. He was always respectful and had time to answer questions. Alan and his crew exceeded our expectations. Our two small children would watch them work daily and the crew was respectful that they were listening to what was going on. The craftsmanship of the building is everything that we had hoped it to be and it matches the style of our current home perfectly. Alan was cost conscious while working mentioning things that could be changed to save money, while also mentioning other ideas that would prove to be very useful in the overall structure. Our project came in on budget and on time due to the efficiency of Alan and his crew. I would highly recommend Alan to take on any other project that we have to offer and he will be the first call that I make in the future.

"Alan Mann does beautiful work, brings the project in on time, on or under budget and keeps the place clean." Two different sets of friends told us this and we hired him to remodel our fifty year old kitchen. It was all true. We are delighted with the results. Alan figured out ways to give us more space within a tight floor plan, listened to us carefully about what we wanted at each stage of the process, and was terrific to work with. Every member of his team performs at top quality. Everyone pays attention to the necessary details. The workmanship and craftsmanship are superb. Alan laid in hardwood flooring, seamlessly blending it perfectly with older flooring in the adjacent room. Minimum dust in the demolition part of the process and from there on out. Every day the site was kept clean at the end of the day. Everyone showed up on time and at each stage the flow of the work seemed as seamless as the visual results. All the workers were friendly and professional, focused and effective. The results are amazing. We couldn't be happier and it all turned out beyond our initial expectations. I have about three hundred photos of the whole project and would love to post them all. I'll start with one, edit for a while, and post a few more later on. Alan Mann did two remodeling projects for me. I could not have been happier with either one. The first was a total kitchen and bath (gutting each room to bare bones) in a very dated summer home in October of 2010. He was easy to work with and had wonderful ideas and skills. His communication was frequent and detailed, even emailing pictures as he progressed, which was important to me, since I was 1600 miles away from the project. The second project was in the same house in October of 2012. Once again, he totally gutted three more rooms, a living room and two bedrooms. In addition, he replaced all the windows in the house. As before, I was across the country, and knew I had left the job in very capable hands. I am very pleased with his work, all at a fair price, and would have no hesitation in hiring him again!

Mann Construction built our house, followed-up with some upgrades we requested, offered input into a couple of small projects I've done myself, and provides minor upkeep when we are out or town for prolonged periods. The house was built in 2009 - 2010, but the working relationship has lasted until today. The quality of the work is high and Mr. Mann and his workers are friendly and accommodating. I recommend this company highly.

First, we would recommend Alan Mann to anybody for repair, replacement, modification or new construction. Second, it’s important to point out that we are not related to Alan in any way. We located him through the Lakes Region Builders Association. We hired Alan Mann to remove and replace our deck railings. The work was competitively bid and Alan was fully responsive during the bid process and submitted a competitive price. The work included several unique design elements that Alan had no problem delivering. He met his proposed schedule. During the railing project, we decided to add a screened spa enclosure. Due to timing of spa delivery and electrical coordination, we agreed with Alan to do the work on a cost reimbursable basis. We established a target budget and schedule. Alan was timely and transparent with his costs. We met frequently to discuss progress, design changes and whether materials would be provided by Alan or by us. The finished product exceeded our expectations. Alan’s crews performed exceptionally and delivered a full day’s work each day on site. It is important to point out that design drawings were provided before all work was performed. This facilitated a meeting of the minds on what the final product was to look like and function. Alan provided valuable input regarding both cost and schedule savings. We recommend having plans or drawings available BEFORE the project in order to maximize the added value a qualified contractor brings to the party.

We had an addition put on our house last year, and since Alan Mann Construction had done a small job for us in the past, we knew his work and work-ethic and naturally called on him again. We were not disappointed! His work is meticulous, he is a real professional, he is knowledgeable, and brings the project in on time and at budget. His suggestions were a very valuable addition to the job (which is beautiful, by the way.) The addition was certainly a collaborative venture!

Alan Mann is probably one of the highest quality contractors on the area. His professionalism, honesty and work quality are the best I've encountered. I would know. I have built a few homes over the years and he is in my opinion the most trustworthy and reputable contractors around. When he says 9AM, it's 9Am not 9;15 or the next day. He built numerous project at my residences from complete bathroom remodel to building a 3 season porch to repairing issues and defects from the previous contractor. I highly recommend Alan Mann.

I have had the pleasure of working with Alan Mann on four distinct projects over a 10 year period of time. All have been large, multi-week remodeling projects that have improved our home (and our parent’s home). These projects have included all aspects of home building and have been delivered earlier than expected with excellent value. Our most recent project was a major remodel of our kitchen. Ironically, we had friends doing the same – our project started later, ended earlier, was less expensive and yet was for a larger space. Previous projects have included adding extensive trim work to a previously unadorned house, converting an attic space to a two person office with sitting area, adding a bathroom, built-ins for multiple bedrooms, and rehabbing an older ranch (our parent’s home) that had significant structural damage from pests. In general, we have come to view Alan as our partner in home improvement who not only delivers excellent work but helps us with both the small and large choices that come with any construction project. He has an excellent eye and judgment for trim work -- our crown molding project was a collaboration between myself and Alan (with no outside design help) and we were thrilled with the result. Our kitchen team did include a design professional as well as two outside subs – Alan’s easy demeanor and professionalism saw us through the type of project that strains many teams. He worked with all the team members smoothly and scheduled his work to minimize disruption to our household. He shows up ready to work hard but with a cheerful attitude that makes the project more fun and less daunting. At this point, Alan is always my first call for any project and he is well worth waiting for when his schedule fills.
