I’ve done major rebuilding over 30 years with subs & contractors, on coastal & country homes & a few historic restaurants. Big projects like lifting/pouring new foundations, complete gutting & interior/exterior restorations. After devastating 2017 fires in Nor Cal, I relocated & needed a new So Cal general contractor. I’d heard good things about Rudy Aguilar & his firm, Arlington Construction. Rudy met me at my fixer project for a full 3 hour meeting. The prop has multiple structures; a most daunting rehab! As a woman in a new area, unfamiliar with local terrain, I’m nervous to say the least. Rudy was so honest and thorough in his assessment. He listened to my ideas, brought up issues I’d totally overlooked and generously gave me his best advice. His decades of work with building codes make him a pro at obtaining proper permits for rehabbing older props. His advice regarding new fire codes, higher materials/labor costs during pandemic and structural issues I’d overlooked was sobering and honest. I decided to regroup based on his honest advice. Believe me, some contractors will pitch whatever to get the contract. They will also over-talk a woman, even one with experience & knowledge. Not Rudy! He obviously loves what he does & cares greatly for his clients. He’s not so desperate that he’ll say yes to every desire, then require more money later. No better man for my team; gratifying to see my vision take shape. Rudy Aguilar has integrity, experience and a good heart!

We hired Rudy of Arlington Construction to build our custom home on an undeveloped land parcel. Rudy took the challenge and worked with us to include our preferences in materials and finishings to deliver a beautiful home to our satisfaction. As the homeowners, we handled much of the permitting process while Rudy managed the build, crews, and schedule. We over-shot the initial completion date, but have been enjoying our new home more and more since our move in. Rudy, Abraham, Josh and others did an outstanding job on rebuilding our pavilion, fence and building steps to my mailbox. They did cleanups as they went longhand they did it all in a timely manner. They were creative in planning the best way to accomplish the job.

I have used Arlington Construction for many projects and are using them again this month for window replacements. Rudy is straight forward and honest, he will not do a project without the proper permits and works well with all of the different city inspectors on my projects. He completes his jobs on time and on budget. I highly recommend him for any investor owned property or for your personal residence.

We hired Arlington Construction in May of 2016 so that we could flip our own house. My husband and I started ReGEn Real Estate, LLC, a real estate redevelopment company, and thought our house would make an ideal first project. We found Rudy through a referral from another job he and his crew were working on and after meeting with them, we were confident that he was our contractor. Rudy was very forthcoming with what our expectations should be for the timeframe for completion and he delivered it ahead of schedule. His crew did a great job of cleaning up the job site each day and were always on time or early to work. They did an amazing job on all items we had them complete. We had the golden oak flooring removed and replaced with glue down engineered hardwood, tile on the fireplace was replaced with stacked stone and a new mantle, the entire house and garage was painted and all baseboard was replaced. We also gutted the master bathroom and installed travertine tile on the floor and in the shower, installed a new vanity, fixtures, mirrors and lighting and added quartz tops to the vanity and tub. The 2nd-floor kids bathroom got new shower doors, a new vanity, fixtures and quartz vanity top and travertine flooring. Because of Arlington, we were able to get the highest price for a home in that neighborhood to date. We are looking forward to working with Arlington again on our next flip and recommend them highly for quality of craftsmanship and professionalism.

Rudy and his team have always been the highest level of professional and patient with me. As a female making choices about construction projects in an otherwise "man's world" Rudy has never been anything but patient and understanding in the decision making processes with me. The explanations are thorough with no pressure to make decisions that we aren't all completely comfortable with. Great company, great owner, great associates!

I've known Rudy for several years now. He's done work for us personally and being a real estate agent he's done a lot of work for our clients. Finding honest contractors is hard enough but the ones who show up on time is even harder, Rudy and his team always beat me to the job site! They nearly always finish on time and I've never been hit with price bumps throughout the project unless it's items we add. Highly Recommend!!

My husband and I hired Rudy to remodel our master bath and kitchen. We are extremely happy with the results! The process was almost painless. Rudy and his crew were very respectful. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with every detail. They completed our projects on budget. The bathroom took more time than expected due to material delays and the difficult tile work but the wait was worth it! The kitchen remodel went as planned and it is better than we imagined. The crew tried to keep the dust & dirt down as much as possible and the cleaned every night before they left. They also arrived every day when they said they would. Rudy is very responsive and addressed concerns immediately. He also had helpful design and material suggestions. When we are ready for other projects, we will definitely use Arlington Construction again.

Wow! What a crazy ride!! Thank you Rudy and all of your crew. You all did an excellent job on our addition\ re-build. With my Mothers blessing, my husband and I decided to overhaul and nearly rebuild my childhood home. My mom had been in her home for 56 years with the last 3 years being alone. The decision was made to reside together, so rather than move mom out to live in our home, we moved in to her home and with the help of Arlington Const., we all reside happily together. We interviewed about 6 contractors. Rudy sailed to the top of the list. He runs his crew with leadership and is well respected by all of them. They all take pride in their work, work VERY hard ,and the job stays clean and orderly. Rudy does not manage his crew from a far, He was at the job daily and often several times each day. The Men are all friendly, kind and took to calling my mom Grandma ( which she loved. ) We gutted the house and started pretty much from scratch. Our addition was approx. 700 Sq. Ft. Total Sq. Ft being approx. 1,900 Sq. Ft. upon completion. Three bedrooms, three baths and a lovely open floor plan. You can not see where the addition begins or ends. It looks amazing.Thank you for referring us to your architect Leo who was reasonable and very helpful. Rudy, we appreciate your integrity, honesty , knowledge, and your love of doing what you do.
