Steven Basey

Steve and his crew completed a kitchen remodel for me in Oct, 2017 and I could not be happier with the results. He took out walls, raised the ceiling, created a bar at the end of the kitchen, installed a custom entertainment center in the living room and installed "barn doors" from the dining room into the bar area. He and his crew are great to work with - they could not be nicer. Even though we had some "not right the first time moments", everything was always made right. We really appreciated that. I would definitely hire Steve again.

Steve and his team did excellent work on our year-long remodel. The guys were prompt and courteous, and accommodating to our schedule. We sat down together with the budget initially and had periodic checkpoints to ensure we were on track. The skillful workmanship of the trades is obvious and our house turned out beautifully! I will definitely use Basey Construction again when I need to do additional remodeling.

Steve has worked with us on 2 remodeling jobs, involving bathrooms, tile, wallpaper removal, and painting. Both times, the jobs completed in a very satisfactory manner. Steve is very thorough in follow up and very flexible in his schedule. We had many changes during the jobs and Steve was always ready to accomodate. We definitely would hire Steve again for our next remodeling job.

If you are looking for professionalism and top quality craftsmanship, Steve is your Man! I have worked with him for close to 10 years on various projects ranging from $500 to $50,000. I have never been disappointed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I highly Recommend Steve Basey Construction for any remodeling job. He did a fantastic custom kitchen, built-in custom dining room wall cabinet unit, custom bathroom cabinets, linen closets and counters, sliding glass back door, wall repair and custom molding throughout our outdated 1970s home. Mr. Basey's estimate was also exceptionally reasonable. We had gotten four. He had just completed a timely, beautiful custom kitchen for my parents 1950s home in central Austin when we hired him. Mr. Basey was exceptionally prompt, professional, and courteous-(and patient!)throughout our project. We couldn't be more pleased with our beautifully painted and stained custom cabinetry that fit our detailed specifications. Mr. Basey also had so many great ideas to help us utilize many of our small previously unused spaces. He is quite the visionary is well! Very importantly, Mr. Basey was very easy to contact and talk to. He made sure at the end of the project that all punchlist items were taken care of and that we were satisfied with every last detail. Very, very pleased! We will definitely be calling Mr. Basey back for future projects!

Our project involved new decks/balconies, stone and siding work outside, cement patios, and some new windows and doors. It is not quite finished yet but is in the home stretch. I will update this review when finished. So far we have been very happy with Steve's professionalism. He has lots of good specialized crews who show up on time, do good work and leave things clean. Steve himself shows up frequently to check on things and always answers phone calls and emails promptly.

Steve and his crew did an excellent job on our kitchen remodel. All the cabinets in this "50s" home were removed and custom made ones were installed. Guests always complement the work and we love to show them the special details in the drawers and cabinets. He also worked on a bathroom that had a leak and replaced the wall and wood floors of the adjoining room. He was very professional as well as friendly.

Steve is very personable, knowledgeable, and has great people that work for him. We used his team to hang doors, paint, and remodel certain portions of our house while we remodeled our bathrooms. He was on time and the quality of work was very good for the price (striking a balance between cost and quality is imperative). We hired Steve for a construction project. We had a formal living and formal dining room in our home, and we converted the formal living room into a study by closing it off and adding french doors. The project included minor tear down, framing a new wall, framing french doors, drywall, painting, and trim. The project also included some electrical work like moving some switches around, installing new outlets in the new wall, and putting in a ceiling fan. Steve was able to start fairly quickly, provided a schedule, and stayed on time. His price was competitive. Steve's a general contractor, so he arranged for others to come do the various tasks. Everyone was on-time (or early) and very professional. I'd work with him again.

I have used Basey Constructions Services for the past 3 projects on my home. They are professional, on time, excellent communicators (while I was at work he would call me and email me pictures!) and super clean workers...and they did excellent work. I would recommend them to anyone with the highest of confidence!

This contractor was recommended by a friend. He prices were reasonable, he was on time with his estimates of when each part of the project was to be completed and was completely cooperative with me as this was a full home restoration and I didn't want to empty the house so he had to deal with me moving furniture and belongings from room to room as his restoration team moved throughout the home. He was always cooperative when I would ask for him to come and check on anything that was not as I had expected it to be. There were many changes made from the original plan and yet he was polite, cooperative and very helpful in getting the job done. As in any project of this magnitude, there were a few minor errors made but he had them repaired immediately upon notification. All in all, it was as pleasant an experience as one could expect from such a huge project. One thing I would do differently, and it was suggested, is to move out completely and let the work get done. Project could have been done in half the time and for much less cost. Live, learn and listen to this man. He knows what he is doing. I would accept calls from prospect customers if you so choose.
