I've found it useful to know the skills and details of painting and carpentry as they often overlap each other. This also simplifies the process for you if you can call one person to do both. Painting projects can be as simple as painting a room or the whole house-inside and out. Many paint and building suppliers have gone to low odor, low v.o.c. (volatile organic compounds) products helping to provide user friendly materials, that are healthier for our families and our planet. These are especially helpful for the elderly or others who have developed sensitivities to chemicals. Whenever I can I prefer using these products and make that easier for you by passing them along at cost.
