I strongly caution when considering this builder. After a year under contract, we discovered they had failed to obtain the necessary permits – and lied to us along the entire way – telling us permits were all in motion. Mind you, this is only one of the issues that transpired. Unfortunately, their business practices and trustworthiness have been deeply disappointing. Despite breaching the contract, they have refused to return my deposit of $7500. Which I was told was used for permitting, but only $233 was spent on the permits. I would recommend against engaging with them, particularly if you are dealing from out-of-state. While I consider myself a patient and composed individual, my experience with Beattie's business operations has been less than satisfactory. Their approach not only raises questions but also gives an impression of deception. While I recognize Beattie Development's accolades and reputation in Southwest Florida, my personal experience has been quite different. A company's reputation should be built on the consistent satisfaction of all its clients, not just a select majority. My situation is a testament that there are instances where Beattie Development has fallen short of their high standards. The challenges you've mentioned like supply chain disruption due to hurricanes and issues with buyer financing are indeed real and can impact a project's timeline. However, these factors should not excuse the breach of our contract, which resulted in a significant financial loss for me. My review may indeed be one-sided, but it is an honest account of my experience. Consumers deserve to hear all sides, including those rare negative experiences, to make an informed decision. It's not about disparaging your business; it's about bringing to light a situation that was handled poorly from my perspective. Your growth over the past 14 years is commendable, but growth should not come at the expense of any customer, as has been my case. Every customer's experience counts, and each one contributes to the overall reputation of a business. I hope that future customers will take my experience into account when considering Beattie Development. It's essential to be aware not only of a company's successes but also how they handle situations when things don't go according to plan. As consumers, we should indeed be informed, and this includes hearing about all experiences, good or bad. I believe transparency and open dialogue are key in making informed decisions. Their quality and attention to detail has made for a top notch experience each time we entrusted our home to them.

The team approach at Beattie made our project run like clockwork. Everyone is very professional, punctual, and skilled. I do not hesitate to recommend them.

The work done at my house was extremely professional and perfectly done. The job site was cleaned up so there was no trace of any debris and our remodel was extensive, so you might expect something left behind. The job was perfect. It was beautiful so much so that we felt we were walking into a brand new home.

We saw several home renovations in our neighborhood that were completed by Beattie Development. We were impressed with those projects. We spoke with Paul Beattie about our kitchen remodel. We worked with him and his staff and planned for the remodel of our kitchen. And after seeing how our project turned out, we know first hand why his remodels turn out the way they do. The experience and knowledge that he and his team have, clearly puts them ahead of the curve. Everyone functions in such an organized and efficient manner which results in such a smooth process. It was no surprise that it was completed ahead of schedule. We are so very happy with the results and are going to be working with Beattie Development on future projects.

the remodel is great. from day 1 to the last day of the project, everything went like clockwwork, employees are the best i've ever seen. my kitchen--living room came out exactly as i have imagined. and, at the end i got my kitchen cleaned, and my driveway power washed !! good job beattie !!

The first project Paul Beatie did for me was in 2011-12. It was a kitchen remodel. I have hired him for different project since then. The last project was in 2016. This included new interior doors, new tile floor, new closet shelving and interior painting. And, when the work is completed a professional cleaning crew comes in to clean the house. Paul and his staff are professional, honest, trustworthy, and Paul stands by his work. I was new to the area of Cape Coral and read an article in the News-Press about Paul and the work that he was doing at the time which was kitchen remodeling. We arranged a meeting and my first impression was that I was not going to go any further to look for another contractor -- it was going to be Paul.

They where at the site every day for us at the set time. When problems came up they talk to us on how we could go forward. Plus, when work on one part of the job could not proceed , they found other parts of the project that they do to try to stay on time.

We recently had our three bathrooms remodeled by Beattie Development. The bathrooms are a huge improvement from the ones that we originally had. I believe that the best you can say about a finished project is that there were no surprises or hidden costs. The first time we met with Paul Beattie, he told us that he believed that he would not be the cheapest but he would be the best. We have no reason to dispute that claim. His team of craftsmen did an excellent job. We are very pleased with the workmanship and definitely recommend his company to anyone looking for high quality remodeling.
