Looking around our vacant Ashland bungalow, we realized everything was damaged, worn out, broken, outdated or just plain unattractive. We wondered how we could possibly undertake a complete renovation of our beloved little home. It became clear that we would need a competent contractor who could take everything out and away, and start over! Luckily, we knew of Ben the Builder. Several months later, we met Ben and his foreman, John, at the property for our final walk through. What an amazing transformation! Every aspect of the job was handled at the highest level, from design and installation of a new energy efficient heat/AC system to design and installation of a completely remodeled kitchen and bath, to all new floors, paint, hardware, laundry, attic insulation! Ben and Rachel were an absolute pleasure to work with, knowledgeable and flexible and creative as they walked us through all the choices we needed to make before the job began, and throughout the duration of the job. The work was done according our predetermined schedule, and involved a number of subcontractors who gave the job their highest effort. Cabinets, paint, plumbing, electrical - all came together for a fabulous final result. We give Ben the Builder and his team the highest possible grade and enthusiastically recommend him for any type of building project. Five stars!

After the Almeda fire in 2020 devastated so many of our communities, when seeking a contractor to rebuild our home one name was recommended by multiple homeowners in the Ashland/Talent area - Ben Treiger (Ben the Builder). Thankfully we looked no further, as his outstanding skill level, varied design ideas, attention to detail, immediate communication and follow-up and amazing support team meant our rebuild was seamless and without issue. Our rebuild required sourcing the original plans from 2005, and Ben found these within days of our contact with him. Every phone call was answered immediately, email responses within hours not days, and Ben was an absolute pleasure to work with over the entire year it took to rebuild our home even though we were living out of state after the fire. We now have a beautiful new home built to the exact plan as the original, with many upgraded features in the interior that Ben suggested, and we highly recommend him as your first choice in a contractor.

I enlisted Ben's crew to update my spacious and well-laid-out, but seriously outdated, kitchen. This required 1. painting the cabinets and installing all new hardware and doors and replacing a not-working lazy susan 2. replacing the formica countertop with quartz 3. replacing the sink, garbage disposal and water faucet 4. replacing the oven and installing a hood 5. replacing the dishwasher 6. installing a tile backsplash throughout the space This was a small project for them, and because of the many constraints in the region due to shortages in construction materials and workers, I suggested that they "squeeze in" the work as they had slack time with larger projects. Nevertheless, once demolition began I had some work being done every week and the project manager was careful to ensure that, for example, I only had to wash dishes in my bathtub for 2 weeks. I had new floors installed previously, and they were careful to protect them and to minimize the general mess that this kind of work can cause. They offered good input about my design choices. The price was midrange for this kind of rehab project and it came in within budget. I love to cook and I love it even more in my new kitchen.

Ben and his crew did a remodel job on our home that my husband and I can honestly say was nothing short of excellent. They all were highly skilled, professional & courteous and they delivered quality results. They are truly skilled in their craft. We are happy to give our highest recommendations.

I suspected I had water damage to the exterior of the front and back of my townhome. Ben came out to look things over and provided an estimate within an week. Kahlub and Harry were working on the repairs within two weeks. They were prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, respectful and very hard-working. These guys didn't fool around! And Kahlub kept me informed every step of the way. Once the repairs were completed, Allan from NAP Painting came out to paint the affected areas. Allan also got right to work and did a great job. There were a couple of glitches with paint colors that were not in his control but he communicated them to me immediately and we worked out a solution. I am very pleased with the end result all around. For highly competent and trust-worthy service, I highly recommend Ben the Builder and NAP Painting.

Ben’s crew was very professional and respectful. They did an amazing job. John, who was our main contact, was great. He kept us well informed: what the next steps were, where we were in the timeline, what to expect the following day, who was coming, when they were coming, and what they would be doing. John made sure everything was easy and stress free during the duration of the project. When the project was done, Ben made sure every detail was perfect and that everything was exactly what we had agreed on. The room is amazing.

Ben has worked with our 8-unit condo association on multiple projects both large and small over the last several years. He managed the complete exterior painting of all our units in 2019, and has handled re-surfacing of all our decks, large and small repairs to individual units and new construction of access gates between units. At every point along the way, Ben and his guys have been nothing short of extraordinary -- reliable, excellent, trustworthy, highly skilled, friendly and always going the extra mile to accommodate us. Ben's prices are very fair and the quality of his work always exceeds our expectations. I can't recommend him highly enough!!

I thought Ben and his crew were very respectful and attentive to our needs and wants for our bathroom remodel. His response time was excellent and was always open to listen to our ideas or answer whatever questions we had. We had Ben the Builder organize and complete significant work on our crawlspace, foundation, electrical infrastructure, ducts, drywall, outside siding, plumbing, and drainage. We found them to be friendly, professional, punctual, thorough, and also found that they repeatedly checked with us about the work (making sure they had met/exceeded our expectations). We also found them easy to communicate with, receptive to feedback, and concerned with producing high quality results. During the course of the work, we were forced to add a few parts to the original plan (replacing the wiring was something that was discovered as the foundation and crawlspace were being worked on), and Ben (the owner) was very flexible and easy to work with as we modified our plans. He was also very transparent with the pricing. We will absolutely hire Ben and his team again for future work on our house.

We had a great experience with Ben. This was our first experience with a contractor and we were very satisfied with both the work that was done and the bidding process. We had a bathroom remodeled, the project was done within the timeframe that Ben gave us, the project with within budget and the quality of work was excellent. Plus, as we have young children - Ben and his staff were great with them! Very happy with our experience.

Ben is FABULOUS!! I am an Ashland homeowner who resides on the east coast --- so finding a quality contractor was that much more challenging. Lamenting my predicament with a local merchant during a recent visit to town, Ben’s name surfaced. I asked a couple questions from a variety angles. “Has he worked on your home?” “Were you pleased with the results?” “Was his pricing fair?” What’s his demeanor like?” “Would you hire him to more work for you?” The answers were positive and sincere so I gave him a call. What can I say beyond FABULOUS?!? He was very polite and responsive. He accommodated my out-of-town scheduling needs to ensure we met in person and walked through my Ashland home together to discuss the job. His quote was reasonable and I hired him to perform the work. His team interacted extremely well with my tenant and Ben kept in touch along the way. The result was great!!
