Thank you Bishop Construction Services! It turned out beautifully! So, rewind 6 months ago … our older stilted, 2-story canal home (for future retirement) right off Lemon Bay needed repairs, some extra TLC, and updating! Support beams from ground to 2nd level deck had to be replaced; old deck and staircase replaced with Trex decking; new aluminum screen room and handrails; new shingle roof; 2 walls of built-in, floor-to-ceiling, shelving in one guest room were removed; fireplace hearth built with stone work; kitchen was gutted; 2 walls removed to open kitchen to front entryway and to living area; carpet in 3 rooms removed; complete ½ bath added; guest bath gutted; ceramic tile floors installed throughout; AND, a 3-stop circular (PVE) elevator was installed in the center of the entryway. HUGE project and costly! We had no idea who to hire, not being familiar with Englewood or Charlotte County. Our Realtor gave us some suggestions and we moved forward with Bishop Construction. When Michael Bishop, Owner, and Mark Mercer, Project Manager, first met with us, they listened to all our many ideas, we listened to their feedback, and they did their very best to execute our vision. Both are hard-working, honest, trustworthy gentlemen and a pleasure to work with. (Michael even had to tarp the roof on a rainy Sunday morning during the holidays when the roofers weren’t quite finished.) They have been professional, timely, skillful, knowledgeable, made appropriate recommendations for, and coordinated with, various sub-contractors for demolition, custom kitchen cabinets, propane gas installation and hook-up for new gas cooktop, Cambria quartz countertops, aluminum screen room and deck handrails, tile flooring, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and elevator specialists, streamlining the entire process to our complete satisfaction. The subs were efficient, courteous, and performed quality work. Of course, no project of this size goes without a few hiccups or surprises. And, Michael’s ability to effectively communicate with us in problem-solving made for a great outcome! It was easy working with Michael and his team!

Working with Bishop Const. was a learning experience on how a remodel should be done. We had experienced a total reconstruction after Hurricane Ivan in Pensacola Fl. And it was a nightmare. Micheal Bishop changed our opinion of having a remodel done. There was never any confusion on when things would be done because we had a written schedule for the entire job. We also had one for when payments were expected. The subs for the job were all professional , on time and did exceptional work. The day we selected product was enjoyable and each craftsman was helpful and educational on their products. The job finished on time and we were 110% happy with the results. Bishop Construction is a well oiled company that I would use again and recommend to family and friends.

Mike and Mark (Project Mgr.) performed a major remodel on our Englewood Fl. home, while we were away over the summer. This can be more challenging, since we were not here to walk thru the house during the process. Mark kept in touch via emails and photos. He was very responsive to correcting any items that I noticed. He is also very detail orientated and worked with the sub contractors to correct any things that needed attention. The quality of the finishes are excellent. The project was completed within the scheduled time frame so the house was ready upon our return. There were some things that we noticed needed attention upon our return, but Mark corrected them. We plan to use them again for any future projects and highly recommend their integrity.

Every aspect of this project was done in a timely and professional manner. Quality of the work was exceptional and work was completed on time.

Bishop Construction Services recently remodeled our guest bathroom and they did a fantastic job and were excellent to work with. Michael Bishop guided us through each step in the process and took care of everything from scheduling contractors, permits, inspections etc. His personal attention was greatly appreciated and everyone stuck to the timeline he presented at the beginning of the project. He is a licensed contractor and very knowledgeable about every step in the process. We would highly recommend Bishop Construction for your remodeling needs!

If you are looking for a top quality job at a fair price with no surprises throughout the project, hire Bishop Construction Services. Michael, Mark and the Bishop Construction Team took on a complex screened lanai demo/rebuild(which required special county approval) and the complete redo of the lake view room in my condo(two walls, new wind resistant E-glass windows and tile floor). Any issues that occurred throughout the build were quickly resolved. Professional, courteous communication of status and issues was much appreciated.

We hired Michael to replace a window with a door and pour a concrete patio slab; update our kitchen with a new island; and renovate our master bathroom. Our renovations entailed new cabinets, granite, plumbing, electrical, tile and drywall work. His team is excellent and everyone really took great care of our home during the process. We recommend him highly. He is a great communicator, his price never changed from the original estimate, his quality of work is outstanding and his pricing was in line with or better than other estimates we received. He stuck perfectly to the schedule and actually finished earlier than expected. On top of all of that, he is one of the nicest guys you will meet. We have only positive things to say about our experience. Hire him if you need something done. He is excellent!

His crews were clean, respectful and prompt. Mike kept us informed every step of the way. He is enthusiastic, professional, clean cut and knowledgeable which are good traits when deciding on a contractor. He set a time line on everything and with a small exception was spot on! His prices were fair and there was no surprises. I will definitely use him on future projects.

Michael is great, he stays on top of the job, great updates, and recommendations. We had water damage due to a leak from an upstairs condo, gave us a recommendation to help make our laundry room more spacious and we cant be any more impressed with the work done. 10/10 would recommend.
