Brawner Design

Brawner Design began by doing just a couple of simple jobs for my home and then the relationship with utilizing his services plus design skills took on a life of its own. First, we were getting a dog and wanted a dog door installed. Jack Brawner, owner of Brawner Design, helped us pick out the safest dog door to install and weather resistant also. Very pleased with it and our dog uses it continually. While here doing the dog door, we asked him to look at where we had bathroom doors swing out of master bathroom in a narrow hall-like entry to the master bathroom. We discussed wanting doors that would slide open but not a pocket door. Jack again was able to execute a track system for the doors to slide open instead of out. After these two small projects, we hired Jack for a big project - landscaping the backyard to complement the in-ground trampoline system that was being installed. We discussed wanting a fun backyard but also functional. He chose trees and bushes that look great in the yard but will not grow over the trampoline. He laid concrete down for our above ground hot tub and a porch area for outdoor lounging area, all covered by a beautiful pergola with a lighting system plus fan system. Additionally, he laid out a few putting greens around the hot tub. This backyard is very well utilized and we have experienced many fun parties back there since all of this labor was put into it. It is all so pleasing to the eye as well. Very satisfied customers. Knowing Jack very well now, we have called upon him when we think of ways to refurbish items also. My husband asked for an old French door to paint with the plan to hang on the wall to use to fill all the window panes with photos from our trips to Hawaii. Jack provided us with the French door because he really liked the concept and then he developed a design to anchor the French door to the foyer's wall but have it open with chains and locks on the top to close the door once photos are in the panes. This will allow us to change out photos easily when we desire. Lastly, I've just been in touch with Jack again as I have a mirrored side table that has cracked legs but I don't want to just throw the table away. Instead, I found a great bargain on a yellow metal stool that I want Jack to put underneath the mirror top instead. He is already developing a plan to cut off the cracked legs of the round, mirrored table and develop a way to permanently attach it to the yellow, metal stool. I cannot wait to see it together and have no doubt that it will be sturdy, beautiful work. I highly recommend Brawner Design because he does work to make his clients happy. Furthermore, he enjoys designing and will make whatever he works on as unique as he can for you! Worth every penny and listens to requests plus enjoys challenges!

Jack is fantastic to work with and we are lucky to have him as a contractor/designer. In the early stages of design he has made recommendations that saved us money, created a better end product, and ultimately kept us on track/budget, and completed on time. We cannot recommend him enough for your next project. Jack completed a large patio installation this past fall and will be starting our kitchen remodel this spring. In addition to these two projects he will be working on our 2nd story addition in the fall if our remodeling stamina keeps up!

We hired Brawner Design to design and landscape our backyard and to act as a contractor for the hardwoods in our home. What impressed us the most with Brawner Design is the owner, Jack, and his attention to detail. He listened to our requests and not only gave us what we wanted, but added his creativity while still keeping to our style. We have hired Brawner Design for several jobs ranging from simple landscaping advice and installation to a total garden makeover complete with a wonderful walk-in garden shed and storage closet. Jack Brawner is knowledgeable, thoughtful, respectful, and very creative. He listens to your desires yet does not hesitate to offer sound advice or helpful suggestions all the while working hard to stay within your budget.

We hired Jack during 2014 to remodel our bathroom and kitchen. He was very thorough and did a great job. The "trades" were very professional and respectful. Both jobs were completed before promised. Jack always let us know day to day what time they would be arriving. Very pleased with the outcome of both projects. Would hire him again for our next project!!

Jack has done several projects for us. He built an amazing pergola and outdoor kitchen. Redesigned our back entry and laundry room and master closet area. And Redesigned our daughters room to include all new cabinets. Jack's amazing creativity and tenacity saved our house! It was easy to identify what was wrong with the flow of our back entry and laundry room and master bedroom and closet. The solution was not so easy. But Jack took his time and we worked through several potential options until we came up with the perfect solution. He reworked the doors and expanded the laundry room adding lots more storage and work space so that it now works perfectly for my busy family. Beautiful and functional!!

Landscape Design and implementation. Jack did a great job of taking the thoughts I had for a complete redesign of the backyard and back patio area and creating a working plan that we clearly visualize what it would look like and then worked with us to tweak and value engineer areas to maximize our efforts. The project turned out better than would could have expected, on time and on budget. Jack went on to design and redo a full bath for the guest room as well. Extremely happy with the work and finished product.

Jack has done several jobs for my family. His dedication to excellence is amazing. Every project has been delivered above and beyond expectations. He takes the time to explain in as much detail as you want everything he does and why. He has great design ideas and has the ability to deliver them.

Jack designed and installed my front and back yard landscaping. He is a very thorough and thoughtful designer and takes the time to understands your wants/needs and incorporates these into realistic plans. From the initial meeting and straight through the project, his attention to detail and thoroughness was evident and greatly appreciated. I'm very happy with the results and even referred him to my neighbor and sister (both of which were equally as happy with his work. If you want it done right, this is your guy!!

We hired Brawner Design last summer to work on our front yard. We found Jack to be both inventive in design and focused with keeping within our budget. We stressed the importance of color, organic design, native plants and adding great appeal to our front yard. He exceeded our expectations in design and execution. Additional neighbors have since hired Jack to complete their yards. He was amazing to work with and we will be hiring him to work his magic on our back yard.
