Buck the Builder

Buck and his crew remodeled our kitchen and bathroom, built an additional outside entry with porch, and did additional cabinets. Everything turned out fabulous! Their crew is wonderful. Ashely, Devon, and Hunter are masters at their craft. David the Foreman was very responsive. The subs they used were also great and very professional Our home is 100+ years old and the crew was ingenuous at working around issues and willing to do changes at needed. Buck and Renee’s ideas added functionality and charm to the finished product. I would totally recommend them and would definitely use them again.

Buck and his team helped us put our kitchen/dining areas back together after the winter storm. The process was very thorough and ensured we were clear on all aspects of the project before we even began. Once the project started there were few surprises. Our project manager David kept us informed every step of the way and was always willing to help us understand what to expect. I nicknamed the sub contractors the "construction elves" because while I knew they were there, they worked efficiently and always left our home much cleaner than expected. It is clear that Buck has high expectations for himself and his team. They understand they are working in someone's home--it isn't just a project. We are already looking forward to working with them on our next project.

Buck (with Chester as our lead guy) did a wonderful job coordinating our master bath remodel. They replaced our 27 year old retro cultured marble tub and shower with a freestanding tub and beautiful tile shower. With wallpaper removal, new flooring, countertops, fixtures, and lighting, it looks like a "new construction" bathroom. The crews worked around our schedule and the project was finished on time. We definitely recommend Buck the Builder.

Buck and his team completed a full kitchen remodel for us this past summer. We could not be happier with how it turned out! All of the sub contractors were professional and you could tell they took pride in their work. The new PSA process meant we knew exactly what the cost of the remodel was going to be before we got started. We were able to pick all the finishes within our budget without being surprised by the cost of an upgrade once things got started. Our project manager, Daniel, communicated excellently about the status of the project and he worked hard to keep us on schedule. We would highly recommend Buck the Builder for any remodel project!

We would definitely recommend Buck the Builder for any of your remodeling needs. They finished off our attic and it turned out beautiful. They were very professional to work with and kept us up to date on a daily basis of the progress. We could not be more happier with how it turned out. You will not regret hiring this company for any of our home remodeling needs.

I can't say enough about our experience with Buck. His craftsmanship is superb but his character is also exceptional. He is honest, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with. We will not go to anyone else for our projects or contracting needs. We hired him for a project that was a little outside the box and although it took a little longer than planned, we are thrilled with the outcome. Our boys will certainly enjoy their custom "Buck-Beds" for years. Thank you Buck (and team)! (Also, for the record - I did not know him prior to this project. I was referred from another carpenter recommended to me who wasn't comfortable with the job.)

We couldn't have hoped for a more positive remodel experience! Buck and his team did an amazing job on our master bathroom remodel. He was flexible with our schedule, enthusiastic about our ideas, answered all of our questions, and provided thoughtful suggestions, all while being cognizant of our budget. As an out of town landlord, it was only because of Buck the Builder and his team (we worked with Chester) that we were able to smoothly complete a unanticipated flood repair/minor renovation in a tenant occupied rental property and STILL have everyone involved happy at the end. Thanks again y'all! They are extremely professional and organized; most importantly the work done was great - I wouldn't change a thing and will always call them first for any future projects. Our project: A water pipe broke through a wall, causing typical damage to flooring, drywall & baseboards, but it was the right opportunity to make minor updates to the property since my tenant was amiable to an extended timeline if it meant upgrades. We had multiple quotes and to be honest, they were not the lowest, but I would still prefer to use them again because they are worth it. BTB/Chester was able to answer questions with expertise and instill confidence about using them despite the fact I was not able to be on site. I wanted quality work done in a timely and professional manner for the sake of my very understanding tenants, and Buck the Builder/Chester went above and beyond my expectations. BTB gave me an anticipated timeline and budget and when there were changes, I was informed ahead of time and it was never a surprise b/c Chester took the time to explain and discuss options. Chester was great about sending progress photos to me and was even willing to Face-time from the stone yard so I could select the new kitchen counter top since I wasn't able to be there! He understood I needed high value product selections and suggested I consider remnant pieces from the stone yard to stay in budget while installing a higher quality material, perfect solution. In addition to proactively communicating with me, I appreciated Chester was willing to take the lead in coordinating access and relevant details directly with my tenant so I wasn't forced to be the middleman. Having done other renovation projects, it's rare to find a quality craftsman/contractor that is also responsive, professional, communicates well - and most importantly actually follows through to met expectations.

Buck completed a 3rd bedroom addition to our home and we love it! He was honest, fair, quick, and left the site finished and clean.

My experience with Buck this summer was fabulous! I had never done any remodeling work and he was patient, knowledgeable, and able to help me navigate the process. Buck stayed in contact and I knew what was happening as we went along. The people working for him were professional, friendly and neat!

We live in a home that is on both the State and National Historic Registers. Buck and his workmen replaced our wrap around veranda with precise attentention to detail. On several occasions, they listened to our suggestions of using the old way of doing things to complete a certain part of the job. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and would use and recommend Buck again!

We hired Buck to come take down some walls, install an arch and move a large cabinet. Buck was very easy to work with. He has a great first impression as he asks a lot a questions about what you want and what you are expecting. His bid was clear and broken down into each individual job. As far as his work, he came every day and was very professional, he answered all of my questions and helped walk me through the changes I wanted from what was originally discussed. I had asked him to install a column for the new arch and he drew out for me how it would look so I was able to change it to fit my particular style. While Buck is a very good carpenter and a very friendly guy to be around, one of the things I appreciated most was that he was very patient with me as I made changes to what exactly I wanted. In the end I got an amazing new room, column and cabinets that look great and that were done quickly. I will definitely be asking Buck to do more work for me in the future, as hiring him was a smart choice.
