We worked with Builder Land on a full kitchen renovation. Edward was incredibly professional and completely trustworthy. He was easy to work with from discussing the scope and getting a quote all the way to paying our final invoice. His team did great work with care for the details. We had great communication and daily updates about our project, with weekly visits from the main contractor to review any questions and address concerns. He even gave some design advice, since we are newbies to renovation, and we really appreciated his input. We will definitely work with them again!

Edward saved us! We had a slab problem which required demolishing the kitchen and all of the flooring. We had a separate company do the initial slab-jacking but Edward and his team did the rest. They removed the kitchen cabinets gently so we could reuse them and save money. They leveled all the floors with self-leveling in our 2400 sq. ft. house and they are now perfect. In addition, we remodeled both bathrooms, replaced a few failed windows and patio doors, new flooring, and had the interior painted. We envisioned managing the project ourselves and had gotten quotes from various trades. We started to feel overwhelmed with the magnitude. Managing and scheduling the trades was a big issue. Our friend just had work done by Builder Land and recommended them to us. Edward came out and we explained the project and he gave us an estimate that we thought was a great value – and it was! From the start Edward’s communication was great, always quick to respond to questions and issues. His calm, reassuring demeanor and positive attitude is an asset during the turmoil of a whole house remodel. He always wanted to make sure we were happy and satisfied. During this time, we needed to live in the house and Edward and his team were very accommodating. They did everything, even moving our furniture to a storage pod – most contractors won’t do that. The Builder Land team were the hardest working and most respectful group of workers we had ever dealt with – and we have done a couple of house remodels. They were always on time, always showed up and were respectful of our space. We are hands on type of people and whenever they saw us doing something they would come and say “no, we will do it for you” and helped us out. Builder Land also recommended sources for our windows, flooring and granite that were lower than we had found and their quality was great. Their tile work is outstanding. We are very fussy about tile layout and installation but Serge and Andrew did outstanding work. And Serge is an amazing carpenter and painter. Our painted, reused kitchen cabinets look like new. The electrician was the most efficient I’ve worked with and was neat and fast. The electrical inspector commented he knew of his good work on previous jobs. In the kitchen we reused the old cabinets and had a custom island and stove vent hood built. One of the more challenging and rewarding jobs was getting the countertop to perfectly meet and line with up the new 10-foot window behind our sink. The master bath remodel was a major job since it was the original 1970 large sunken shower. After a lot of jack hammering and replumbing we have a perfect zero clearance walk-in shower with a double vanity and a custom-built makeup station. One of the most impressive things was the quickness of the project. We started in mid-May and finished the bulk of it by mid-August. I would not hesitate to recommend Builder Land for any project. We discovered Builder Land because they were the highest rated contractor in the area (50+ reviews on several other websites). Their estimate came in lower than the dozens of other contractors and design firms we received quotes from and didn't increase throughout the duration of our project. It only took them two weeks to complete a magazine-worthy bathroom transformation for us in 2019, and in 2021 they remodeled our entire house in just two months. Despite us adding a bunch of additional scope last minute, they were able to stay on schedule, often working long days, and occasionally even weekends to finish a project that likely would have taken most contractors 6+ months to complete. He also didn’t shy away from anything we inquired about (permitting, load-bearing structural issues, custom pass-through window installation, etc). Our favorite thing about Edward is his communication. We asked questions on a daily basis, and he was always quick to respond and courteous. He also gave us a lot of cool European-style ideas and suggestions while also respecting our budget. If you’re in the market for cabinets and/or countertops, Edward’s partners’ pricing are unbeatable. The cabinets cost less than IKEA, were much higher quality, soft-close, and included assembly and delivery. And each slab was over $1,000 cheaper than what other fabricators quoted us. We look forward to working with Builder Land on our custom home project, and I highly recommend adding them to your short-list for an estimate.

We just completed a laundry room/ half bath remodel. I have to give the highest recommendation to our contractor Edward and his company Builder Land. "I ended up getting five bids for my laundry room/ half bath remodel. Builder Land was almost the last. Edward, the owner, was the ONLY ONE who recommended tearing up the old flooring down to the subfloor! All the others were pitching slapping another layer on top of what was the existing flooring! Which turned out to be two layers already. We initiated this remodel because the old toilet had leaked. So I really wanted to see the condition of the subfloor. There ended up being only minor damage and it was easily repaired. Wouldn't of happened with the other contractors. That was a BIG deal to me. The next defining aspect was the detail of the bid. Only one other contractor came close to the detail and clarity of the bid. We selected the cabinets, vanities and countertops from a list of vendors that Edward gave us. He verified all measurements and placed the order. We received a copy of HIS bill and payed no markup. We order all the faucets, laundry rack, towel ring, toilet, medicine cabinet and had them delivered. So once again no markup. The result of this a final project cost that was $11,000 lower than the next closest bid. I'm not a guy who goes with the lowest bid. But the clear presentation of the estimate detailing labor and specifics for each aspect of the project gave me a degree of confidence. Builder Land was ready to go in a few weeks. The work was completed in 10 work days. The construction quality and detail was excellent. My ONLY challenge was a degree of communication difficulty with the on-site workers. Ukrainian immigrants who spoke English to a degree meant that more complex discussions were conducted with Edward, the owner, during his frequent job site visits to make sure we were all on the same page. The workers were hard working and diligent with annoyingly sunny dispositions. Yeah I'm a cranky old man. I hate remodeling but if you're going to do it this is a good company to do it with."
