C Hertzig Contracting

I started in the restoration field straight out of High School in 1997 and found my way into the general contracting field in 2003. I specialize in finished carpentry and it has been my passion since I can remember. Near the end of 2004, my employer at the time decided it was time for him to retired. I thought to myself “it is now or never” to start my own company. I put all my cards on the table and literally went door to door with a backpack full of fliers. It wasn't long before I got my “big break” and there was no looking back. I have big dreams and this business has allowed me to follow them. My business has allowed me to discover and pursue avenues I never thought I would. I love working with people and helping them realize their dreams. It is an authentic part of who I am. While the process of getting a renovation or project finished comes with a plethora of challenges and stress the look on a client’s face when their space is finished and our collective vision has been actualized is very gratifying. I like to work hard. Running a General Contracting business is not glamorous. The reality of running a business involves lots of running around, long meetings, EXTREME detail management, a significant amount of stress management, and the ability to adapt when things don't always go as smooth as planned. It is hard work but I like it. The main reason I do what I do is my family. My wife Stacey, who has helped me more than you can imagine, and continues to support me, as well as our daughters Peyton and Kennedy, are the best things to come home to.
