Mike is the best general contractor I have ever worked with, by far, and his team and subcontractors were all excellent. Mike did a total facelift of our home in Menlo Park two years ago, which included new windows and doors, replacing wood shingle siding with stucco, new stonework, new roof, down-to-the-studs remodel and soundproofing the Master Bedroom, front yard landscaping, etc, and we are very happy with the result. It feels like a new home, done the way we want it. The pros of working with Mike: 1) he stays on schedule. My experience with other contractors has been that they are not good at project management, miss their timelines and charge considerably more than their estimates. This doesn’t happen with Mike. 2) highest quality materials and work, done with attention to detail. In many cases, I felt like Mike was correcting mistakes made in the original construction (such as reframing the master bedroom ceiling). 3) he had ideas for the project that we didn’t have but made the project better (such as converting our garage to one large door instead of two small doors, finishing the eaves, using wood paneling on the ceilings of the front and rear porches, etc). 4) he was very quick to respond and solve problems, often within minutes. 5) he stays on cost. There were no surprises in the bills. The only time things costed more was when we decided to expand the scope of the project, which we did on several occasions. The cons of working with Mike: 1) I think he is more expensive than the average contractor. For us, it was well worth the cost to stay on schedule and have such high quality, beautiful work done on our home. Also, but not unique to Mike, don’t underestimate how disruptive it is to remodel. It was hard on our family, but now we have a beautiful new home to live in, and I thank Mike and his crew and all the subcontractors for that.

Cacci Construction is the best. Our project is an old house remodeling with a new extension. We needed to keep the old frame while adding a new portion in the back, which in some ways is more challenging than building a new house from the ground up. Mike Cacci is a very experienced general contractor. He and his team always gave us creative suggestions and options throughout the duration of the project. They are very friendly and patient with any questions we have for them. They did an amazing job! He and his team are not only professional at what they do, but also reliable and dependable. Mike Cacci coordinated well and kept the workflow going even when the pandemic hit. We will definitely choose Cacci Construction for our next work.

Mike and his crew have completed three projects for us over the last 13 years: a kitchen remodel, major repairs after a giant rainstorm and most recently upgrades to our lighting, heating, and laundry. Mike is conscientious and thorough; his subs and crews are dependable and talented. All of our jobs have been modest ones, but we never felt slighted or overlooked. During the pandemic, he took the utmost of caution when he had to pull his crews off the worksite for several weeks. And when he started up again, he made sure his guys had masks, hand sanitizer and signed in each time they entered our home. I can't say enough good things about Cacci Construction.

Cacci Construction is the best. We had them do 3 remodel projects over the past six years and each has turned out beautifully. Mike Cacci will always, and only, do the right thing in terms of quality work and attention to detail. . Remodeling an old house always involves creative problem-solving, and this is where Mike excels. Our projects stayed on schedule, and his employees and subs are completely trustworthy.

Our friends and family were shocked when we told them that our remodel progressed according to schedule and was completed on time. For most parts, our friends' experiences with renovation have always been long waits and delays. The scope of work was to renovate our kitchen and bathroom, both of which were gut jobs, and included the tearing down of internal walls and the reconstruction of our back wall. Mike knew we were going for a modern look and made useful suggestions to achieve that look. A summary of our experiences: Organized: True to his representations, we found that he was very organized. Before the work started, we received a list of things which they would need from us by certain dates e.g. lights for electrical work and fixtures for plumbing. He also provided a schedule of the work to be performed each week, almost to the day. This was super helpful because we could follow the progress and were not left wondering what was next. Also, for certain jobs which we felt would be useful with our presence, we could plan a day off from work e.g. for bathroom tiling which we wanted set in a certain pattern. Communications: Mike and his subcontractors, were also prompt with our queries. We would email him, or if it was urgent, call him and would receive a response timely. His team, including Elano, Jason and Mario who were on site for different tasks, was responsive when we had questions or had specific preferences. Neat/Workplace safety: They kept the worksite neat and clean at the end of each day. We continued living at home during the construction, so it was great that we could walk through the job site safely when we came home from work. Quality: Most importantly the quality of their work was top notch.They paid close attention to every detail and showed a lot of pride in their work. Since we have a very old house we had to do a lot of remedial work - Mike made sure the work was done right. We are happy with the whole experience. Renovation work is not without its stress, but Mike and his team helped minimize that.

Cacci Construction is undoubtedly the best construction company in the Bay Area for those who have the highest expectations in terms of quality and attention to detail. We’re very picky about every last detail and found that Cacci Construction does an excellent job of creating world class luxury remodeling and construction. Mike Cacci gives incredibly detailed schedules for each project and lives up to the schedule by the day, which makes sure that your project is done on time. Cacci Construction also has an exhaustive list of vendors with specific contacts that give you incredibly valuable guidance on who you should meet with to buy the best amenities. The communication with Cacci Construction is fast and reliable, so they’re able to address any last minute modifications or concerns you might have. Cacci Construction might not be the cheapest contractor in the Bay Area, but they are the best and you definitely get more than what you pay for from the final result.

We hired Cacci Construction on two separate occasions. The first time they completely reconfigured and remodeled our hall bathroom, partially updated our master bathroom, and created a mud/laundry room for us. A few years later, we had them come back to completely reconfigure and remodel the kitchen, complete the master bath renovation, install a new fireplace mantel and surround, all new hardwood floors, interior doors, update our media and canned lighting, move some windows, and install wrought-iron railings in the backyard. We completely trust that Mike Cacci and his awesome crew and sub-contractors will do high quality work for us, and back it up if something doesn’t go as expected. One of the main carpenters and project managers, Jason, has been with the company for over 10 years and the same subs were still working with Cacci Construction when we hired them the second time – which speaks volumes for everyone. They are all professional, pleasant, show up on time (or earlier!) and keep the job site super tidy. On several occasions when I've been talking with an industry professional and mention that we're working with Cacci Construction or one of their subs, we will hear "Oh, their work is top notch," or "they're the best in the industry." I’ve heard story after story of friends and co-workers hiring a seemingly reputable contractor who ultimately cuts corners or vanishes at some point during the job. We always say the same thing, “You should have used Cacci.”

We hired Mike to remodel our bathroom in late 2018. We had a great experience! Mike is very organized and meticulous, and has wonderful subs. We received a schedule at the start of the job, and that schedule was adhered to pretty much throughout the job, except for a few delays that were beyond anyone's control. If we needed to contact him, he immediately got back to us. We knew the cost upfront, and had a minimum of extra work that needed to be done; things that were not known until sheetrock was removed. Mike was not the least expensive bid we received, but he is a stand up guy who does excellent work, and cares about how things are done, and makes sure they are done properly, This is exactly what we were looking for.

I am an architect and have worked with Cacci Construction on at least 4 projects over the past 5 years. Their work is of the highest quality. They follow the drawings very carefully, they ask questions where there is a discrepancy, and work extremely hard at following a schedule. It a pleasure to work with them. Their subcontractors are all top notch and we can expect and receive the best workmanship and results. Throughout the process they worked with us to achieve the look we wanted and when the work gets done when Mike Cacci says it's going to get done.
