Carlos and his crew are terrific. He is highly skilled, meticulous w his detail, efficient, honest, and pleasure to work w. He completed our deck renovation on time and coordinated the subs (who were also superb). I can’t say enough about him except “if u want a renovation done like a pro, use Carlos.! I wish I could give 10 stars! Carlos and team went above and beyond when renovating our family den. They showed up everyday on time and the end result exceeded our expectations. From the craftsmanship of the shelving, cabinets, fireplace and moldings, to the marble installation and new flooring, we couldn’t be happier with the end result. Not only were they professional, trustworthy, and easy to work with, but it was an absolute pleasure day in and day out communicating with Carlos. I would recommend him and his team to everyone and anyone I know. Looking forward to hiring them again for future projects!

I’m so glad I found C & G builders. Carlos and his crew do phenomenal work in addition to being a pleasure to work with. After the project was complete, I was hoping to have another one just to work with these guys again. Carlos is very accessible and flexible to work with he also gives some exceptional design input. Him and his team are very knowledgeable and every one he brings in on the job is just as amazing. We had a full bathroom remodel down to the studs which was a bit stress inducing in an old home, Carlos and his team were very trustworthy and made it less scary. Also I’m pretty sure we have the best looking bathroom in all of North Bergen.

C&G Builders built us our dream home! We had a big job - a complete gut renovation of a 2,800 sq ft 4 bedroom house including a finished basement. We wanted to replace everything including the electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and even build a new trex deck. I bid out the job to 4 contractors and after a very tough decision we went with C&G Builders. Looking back it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. Carlos and his team are fabulous. Here are some key points I want to share about them: Communication: Carlos and I texted and talked almost every day. We were not living onsite so he would send me pictures/videos of the progress when I couldn’t visit and kept me updated of what was scheduled each week. He always returned my calls promptly and answered all my questions. Quality: C&G builds it right. I monitored the materials used and the work being done closely, there were zero shortcuts taken. In fact Carlos is a bit of a perfectionist... sometimes he would go home and review photos of the progress that day, catch something that looked fine to me, but not to him, and the next day would update it to his standard. Reliability: Carlos and his crew always showed up when they were supposed to. In fact Carlos was early to our first meeting together. Over time I learned that I could not just rely on him, but trust him like he was a family member. Often times I would be stressed about something with the project and he would calm my nerves and have it taken care of. It made the whole build as stress free as possible. Project Management: We started demolition on February 24, 2020. Soon after, the world changed. Carlos managed the build through the pandemic flawlessly. He followed the NJ COVID construction guidelines and navigated the ensuing material shortages which came from factory shut downs. He kept the build moving and on schedule. A tremendous accomplishment considering the circumstances. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that we are forever grateful for having chose C&G Builders for our big project. I cannot recommend them enough. Carlos is no longer just a contractor to us, he is a dear friend.

Excellent work by Carlos and his team at C & G Builders. From the very beginning, the professionalism and honesty was apparent and that carried all the way to the completion. Unlike other contractors, Carlos is a big communicator that takes pride in his work. He makes sure that projects are explained thoroughly and is always available to answer questions. Lastly, Carlos is a carpenter by trade and built much of the furniture used, which saved a lot of time and money. My renovation was expected to be completed in 4 months and Carlos delivered on that timeframe.

I recommend this company 100%. They are very professionals very reliable did not skip one single day. This project was about 3 and a half months and it was completed before time. All the different crews are the best in their own speciality from plumbers, electricians, masonry, foundation etc. Overall a great experience with no surprises everything that was estimated it was delivered. The job looks amazing inside and out. Many thanks to Carlos the head of the project.

C&g builders is the absolute best company I’ve ever experienced. They did an addition on our house that can literally be in a magazine. Beyond they’re extroidinary workmanship, they were honest and punctual. They gave a timeline and it was on point. They’re crew is extremely professional and exceptional. I would never use anyone else for anything.

Carlos and his team is AMAZING!!! If I were to do another renovation, or any of families / friends need renovation project, I will ABSOLUTELY recommend him! He is not only a great GC professionally, but also a good friend with valuable advice / feedback! For context, we were doing a major and complicated renovation, involving complete demolition, space extension, story addition, building out deck, and complete gut renovation inside. He is obviously very capable of major job involving structural changes as well as smaller projects. He also proved to be capable, reliable, patient, and trustworthy. This is especially important and helpful as neither my husband nor myself were able to stay on site to provide guidance / supervision. He and the team worked diligently and completed the work beyond our satisfaction. He always accommodated our schedule to discuss next steps / follow up on weekends. He went above and beyond, and gave his heart to our project! He often provided thoughtful ideas to improve our renovation and helped us save costs. We ended up using a lot of his ideas (we loved those ideas!) and we were very appreciative of his feedback. Moreover, he always came up with good and creative solutions to resolve issues. Despite the scope of our (big and complex) project, the work he provided far exceeded our expectation! He is simply a great guy! Even our neighbors loved him! We feel very fortunate that we have met Carlos and hired him and the team! Attaching a "before" vs. a few "after" photos to show the amazing work he has done!

C and G builders did an outstanding job on our home and bathroom renovations! Carlos, the owner and contractor, is an honest, genuine individual that has been a true pleasure to work with! C and G builders are true professionals that work efficiently and honestly. The attention to detail was incredible and the end result was outstanding! Our kitchen and bathrooms look amazing! The prices were reasonable as well. The level of work was high quality and worth every dime we paid. We were in such awe of the level of skill Carlos has. It truly reflects in the beautiful job they have done in our home. We highly recommend C and G builders to anyone looking for renovating their home. Outstanding work!

If I could give 10 Stars I would. Carlos and his team were amazing!!!! I was very impressed with his work ethic, honesty and reliability. I took on a VERY big project. I gutted and renovated my 1300 Sq Ft Apartment. We removed 1988 Popcorn Ceiling, completely remodeled and knocked out walls for an open concept Kitchen and living room & bathrooms. Gutted and remodeled two bathrooms, Kitchen Remodel from scratch, installed new flooring and painted entire the apartment. This was a BIG job! Carlos handled all the insurance of his sub-contractors, filed city permits and was approved and passed all inspections. Plumbing, Electric and building! My house is now a HOME! A luxurious home. He is trustworthy, honest and reliable. I was texting him non-stop and he always responded. He has a great disposition and handled my change requests with patience & honesty. He is also a very handy craftsman and built me closets and a banquette from scratch.

Carlos started off hot and very promising, but ultimately disappeared without the job complete, leaving me with an eyesore of a half done job to pay another contractor to finish for him. He may have underestimated the size of my actual job because I was starting him off with $10k of work just to see how sharp and trustworthy he was. He did know that I was doing far more in terms of remodeling, and I never gave any sort of indication that I would be doing any more or less. I treated him and his excellent crew well as guests in home and when he did show up, everything was OK. He ditched me for a larger job and never even cared to follow back up to resume the job at home that he left undone. Totally unprofessional and disappointing considering how nice he is and how talented his crew is. Just bad business. I ended up spending the remaining $90k of my remodel cost elsewhere.

Carlos and his crew worked on my entire house. They reconstructed my entire kitchen, 2 beds rooms, & the living room floor. Not only did Carlos and his crew do a fantastic job, they were very kind and easy to comunícate with. They made me feel comfortable and that's what matter for my family and me.
