Jeremy Cate and his long term team of professionals did an Outstanding job on my new construction project! It was a pleasure to work with Jeremy because every member of his team was hard working, highly skilled and courteous. The quality of the work is exceptional. Also it's easy to work Jeremy. His prices are fair, he listens carefully to any questions or concerns and he always follows up on phone calls, or text messages, that's a real communications plus! Jeremy Cates completed a large restoration and update of my Carmel Valley residence. I found him to be honest, very trustworthy, and supremely interested in doing the job in the most efficient, professional, and competent manner. He and his employees or subcontractors were on the job when promised and he finished my job on schedule and slightly under budget. He always seemed to be concerned with pleasing me his customer, but he did not make any promises that he failed to keep. I feel that he demonstrated the utmost honesty, integrity, ethical business practices. If I had to pick a fault I think it would be that he was almost too nice. It seemed that was hard for him to tell me that certain things could not be done in the time or budget allowed. I think that I sometimes added to the stress he felt in trying to do a good job for me, considering all the unexpected adjustments that are encountered when doing a major renovation. I highly recommend him for your job and I would definitely use him again. I believe he is very competent in home repair, remodeling, and construction. I do not have first hand knowledge but believe he could be an effective contractor for commercial projects as well.

Cate Construction did a remodel of my condominium for me shortly after I purchased it. The work involved redoing the kitchen and a bathroom, replacing the flooring for the entire unit, some changes to the walls and ceilings, installing new lighting and a complete painting of the unit. Jeremy was easy to work with and I have been completely satisfied with the quality of the work that was done.

Cate Construction completed a very large remodel project on my home. Jeremy and his employees were always very punctual and extremely tidy. I was very impressed that each day his workers would clean up around the job site. It was extremely important to me to keep the communication going at all times; Jeremy get's gold stars for this. We used Cate Construction for a major renovation of a 2,500 sq.ft house, including adding additional footage for a new entry area. Cate Construction did an excellent job in communicating on all aspects of the project, keeping us informed on the timing of each phase and the costs associated with all of the subcontractors. Cate has the experience to select qualified subcontractors. We were satisfied with the work of every subcontractor. The project finished on schedule and very close to being on budget. We were perplexed on how to address a complicated flooring situation and Cate Construction came up with a clever solution. There were very few lingering "punch list" items but Cate Construction has promptly fixed every one of them. Overall the renovation project was a very positive experience.
