Consolidated Construction Services

We contacted them regarding a leak in our roof back in December (December 17th). They advised that with the holidays, that it may take a few weeks. We understood that, and we're told they would get back to us. Then we had winter weather coming and I called them in January, worried that the weather would make it all worse. They threw new shingles on the roof on January 24th, and said they would circle back with us about the repairs to the interior. This was unfortunate as around this time I moved back in to assist my parents with a health event, leaving my partners in our home, causing me to not be as on top of this as I normally would be. Almost a month later, my partners informed me the leak was back. When I spoke to the project manager Jason after I had been informed of this, he stated everything would have to be re-evaulated. This led to a lot of back and forth between myself, Consolidated Construction, and my insurance company. I let this company know that we had some grievances about how things have been handled up to this point...and they finally finished everything on June 2nd. It was not a huge job. The exterior took a total of about 2 days with the original work and then them coming back to rework it. The interior also took two days when they finally were able to come and do it. We had used them previously and had been happy enough with their work, but this whole ordeal has been an absolute nightmare. All for a small leak we just wanted fixed before it became a major issue. I shudder to think what it would have been like if the damage had been more severe. We will not be using this company again and caution anyone that is considering using them to ask themselves if having essentially 4-5 days of work stretched out over nearly 6 months is worth it.

We had a great experience with the service, although through many moving pieces the job was coordinated and professionally completed. Shout out to Adam of CCS that kept me in the loop on what was being done and a great crew was working the project. Thanks, we love the kitchen and carpeting. The Childress' have their kitchen back and looking great!!!

I don't know where to start to describe the incident at my residence that caused me to need the services of CCS except to say it was a damage that I couldn't fully comprehend at the start. There was extensive smoke damage in every single room of my home. Following the investigation of the problem, my house had to be completely evacuated. The amount of labor that was involved in cleaning and packing up was enormous. That's when I met Logan and his helpers (I forgot their names) who did a phenomenal job. They worked several weeks, getting the contents cleaned, wrapped and packed up to empty the house. And then they cleaned all the walls and floors, before the painters came in to seal and paint every room. The entire process took two months but from the inspector to the estimators, the cleaners, the movers, the painters, (and I'm sure I'm leaving someone out), every single person was outstanding. They were professional, polite, neat and tidy regarding clean up. The company employs excellent people. I would highly recommend them and use the company again.

When your life is turned upside down by a house fire and you're wondering how is this ever going to get fixed, the answer is make sure your insurance company chooses Consolidated Construction Services to make everything right again. We were just fortunate that our insurance chose them for us, but if you have a say so in who fixes whatever your disaster is, we say go with Consolidated. From the get go, they were professional and respectful of our wishes and sensitive to the fact that we had just suffered a major loss. Everyone we worked with was just awesome! Matt was our estimator who gave us a very detailed list of everything that was going to be done. Lance took care of the smoke mitigation, taking our home from a soot filled, fire pit smelling mess to a place where there is absolutely no smokey smell left at all. Tam in Finance walked us through how to deal with our mortgage company and the payment draws. And last, but most certainly not least, "our guys," Lucas and Shannon! Lucas did pretty much all the carpentry work, tile work and finish work--the stuff that takes some real skills-- and it all looks great! Shannon was our project manager extraordinaire, responsible for making pretty much everything happen. He got awesome subcontractors where needed and made sure he communicated with us regularly. He listened to what we wanted and he went out of his way to accommodate us, within the limits of what our insurance would cover. For instance, we wanted a particular type of shower door that isn't just off the shelf at the box stores. He did a lot of research to find it and we couldn't be happier with it! We don't ever wish any kind of home disaster on anyone, but the blessing is, if it does happen, Consolidated can get you back in your home and it will be better than it ever was before. We will be forever grateful to them for restoring our sweet little house and making it "home" again! We love the folks at Consolidated!!

They did my water mitigation and repairs. It took 11 months on a 1200 square foot house. They would show up every 1 or two months And do something while I was living in a motel. And the work was partly done and of poor quality and in most cases they would break something else. They were very nice until you had concerns and then they would get short. They put my clothes and belongings in a damp storage unit that you could see sunlight in and charged 330.00 per month and I checked and they were paying 125.00. I called them and told them the vinyl flooring they put down was separating and they said I needed to contact the flooring people and leave them out. And truly there is so much more than what I've shared here. My hope is that this will save someone from going threw what I did. Bottom line is I would not recommend them to anyone.

Used Consolidated Construction Services for repair work at our house. Very pleased with their work and would definitely use them again in case of any future needs. I mainly dealt with Matt McGraw, who was excellent and did an outstanding job! He coordinated everything in a very professional, thorough, courteous and attentive manner. Our highest recommendations!

After discovering higher than normal moisture levels and mold in our basement, we chose Consolidated Construction Services, Roanoke, Va. to correct the problem. Matt McGraw, our contractor, communicated with us throughout the long process of cleanup and repair. He encouraged me to ask questions and answered each one promptly. Lance Peterson, our project manager, and his team were professional and courteous in their interactions with us. Haley and Logan were particularly helpful during the process. At the end of every day the work areas were kept neat. Matt and Lance kept us informed of progress and the next steps to be taken. The 4-month process was long and tedious. The high cost was totally unexpected and stretched our budget. But Matt and his crew simplified the project as much as possible, and his excellent communication was key for me. I appreciate the high quality of work we received from Consolidated Construction and highly recommend them to others.

Matt did a great job of explaining the process of providing the information for the insurance company to approve the repair work following a burst pipe in our lower level family room. He was very thorough and was able to answer all of my questions and addressed my concerns. He created a very detailed report on the repairs needed and advised me what the insurance company was prepared to approve. There were 2 issues that caused me to decide not using Consolidated Construction; 1. The insurance company would only permit painting to match the existing colors. The walls that required painting after a portion requiring new drywall would only be primed and painted 2 coats on the new drywall, but only one primer and one coat over the existing wall. The color was dated and very dark on 2 portions of the wall. The color we chose was very light in comparison and would require a minimum of 2 coats, more likely 3. To do the extra painting would have been at our expense. 2. Consolidated Construction would not be able to perform the repair for 6-8 we As a result, I chose to contract the work out myself. I have every confidence that Consolidated Construction would have done a great job based on Matt's detailed work and I thank him for his effort

From Jason McClelland, who worked very closely with me on the estimate to Adam Eastman, project manager who did everything in his power to move the project along (and dealt with my endless questions and my parents’ unexpected medical events), to all the men who worked so hard on this renovation, and to all the inspectors who were all such gentlemen when in our home, a HUGE thank you. We repurposed several rooms downstairs to create a spacious bedroom, put in a half bath (we already had a full bath), created a dressing room, and took an unscreened porch to create a bright, welcoming sunroom with a wet bar. We did this to bring my 99 year-old mother and 98 year-old daddy, who had been living independently, to live with us. When a hospitalization of both my parents (COVID and a surprising implant of a pacemaker) occurred, Adam understood the urgency of the completion date and made it happen. My parents now have a huge family room, sunroom, bedroom suite, 1.5 baths to comfortably live out their lives. Everyone who has seen the renovations has exclaimed how beautiful it is and how well-done. I highly recommend this company for their professionalism, honesty, timeliness, and complete openness to all questions and concerns. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Jill Mooney

Rob and his team did an outstanding job adding a sunroom to my home, renovating the downstairs bath, replacing the roof, and repairing water damage in the living room. Every team member that worked here was a joy to have in my home. It is evident they treat a client's home like their own and go the extra mile to make sure clients are happy with the work.
