Several years ago we began working as part of Covenant's team as their primary site and landscape contractor and are currently working with them on a new home building at the historical Bothways Farm in Essex, Ma. Working with Matt and Marlin has been nothing but positive for us and were proud to be a part of their team. Their work is top of the line and they are excellent at communicating with us and their clients. One would be remiss if they didn't seriously consider Covenant for their next building project.

I was the landscape designer for new home being built by Covenant. It was great to have Matt as the primary lead & contact. We LOVE Covenant Builders. They transformed a recently purchased circa-1950 two bedroom, one and a half bath cape into our beautiful new home. Two neighbors recommended Covenant Builders to us when we began researching and interviewing contractors for our home remodel. Matt Ostrowski, one of Covenant’s two principals, came over for a walk-through and we were impressed with the good ideas he had for our home. We then asked Matt and three other contractors for written quotes. As promised, Covenant’s quote was submitted within one week, and was thorough and detailed. It was also second highest, but when we combed over the details, and walked through one of their current building projects, we became confident that we wanted to hire them for our home remodel. We had to wait six weeks for them to start, and our remodel would take 12 weeks to complete, so the waiting was the hardest part. Matt had estimated 12 weeks for our job, and it was completed on time and on budget, as quoted. We want to repeat that last sentence, because we think it’s so important. On time and on budget. True. Here’s what the job entailed: 1. Demolition of the baths, kitchen, and load-bearing wall between the kitchen and dining room. 1. New electric and plumbing, throughout. 3. Additional plumbing to move the washer and dryer from the basement to the first floor. 4. A new gas line, to convert from electric to a new gas stove. 5. Complete new kitchen and baths, from the studs up. 6. New flooring, throughout. Hardwood on first floor, carpeting on stairs and second floor. 7. Three new windows. All new doors, throughout. 8. Installation of a central air conditioning system. Here are the things we think you’ll want to know about Covenant that we learned while working with them: 1. Their entire team is kind, caring, and courteous, and they do beautiful work. 2. Their carpenters and plumbers are in-house, and they are all excellent at what they do. 3. They sub-contracted our hardwood floors and electrical work to excellent tradesmen. 4. After some research, we used the companies they recommended for the kitchen cabinetry, soapstone countertops, carpeting, and interior house painting, and they were all excellent. 5. The installation of the central air conditioning system, with separate zones for upstairs and down, is an engineering masterpiece. Everyone that comes into our home can’t believe the transformation— it’s beautiful, it’s functional, and we love it. We highly recommend Covenant Builders— they are true craftsmen!

Covenant is a network of skilled tradesmen - from fine carpentry to plumbing to any trade you Ishtar need for a new build or major renovation. From extremely precise window replacements to rot and fundamental structural repair Covenant has excelled. Their work is fast, their people are pleasant to be around, and their work is clean. They know what they are doing and are used to achieving a high quality finish.

We hired Covenant Builders several years ago to construct built in beds and bookshelves in our 2 boys' bedroom. Matt Ostrowski and Peter Koeplin in our initial meeting had so many great ideas and were really responsive to our thoughts about how we wanted the bedroom to look. Peter Koeplin did an incredible job of envisioning and building the beds, drawers and bookshelves. It was everything we wanted and more!!

Being a designer, I have worked with Covenant LLC on and off over the past 14 years. I have recommended them to my clients dozens of times and have always found their work to be excellent and their workmen to be trustworthy, creative and attentive to the needs and desires of the homeowners and to me. Personally, Covenant is by far my contractor of choice for my own home with everything from a dining room addition all the way down to repairing rotted wood on my home's exterior. They listen to my ideas and make them happen. Creativity, integrity, and great results – what more could anyone ask for?

We've been using Covenant for a major renovation project (kitchen overhaul, 3 bathrooms redesigned and installed, 1 attic loft turned into a bedroom with storage, 1 bedroom ceiling repair). Their work has been excellent in quality. And it has been commendable, as well as personal, in delivery, from its start (a home visit where Covenant took extensive notes, listened well, and got back to us with a detailed quote that ended up being accurate) to finish (final touch-ups, offering advice on details I'd missed in planning, etc), and in-between (managing multiple projects and subcontractors so they all work together efficiently; communicating budget implications when our idea-changes meant cost-changes; replying promptly and respectfully and communicatively to our questions). In character they are reliable and trustworthy, hard-working while still pleasant and respectful in manner; they seem to enjoy their craft, and it shines through in the beauty of the finished product!

We've hired Covenant for four projects, including three major renovations, over the past two decades. The most recent projects were an 1500 sq ft, two story addition, and then a entire kitchen / laundry / 1st floor bathroom overhaul. I have always thoroughly enjoyed working with them. Their entire staff have the utmost of integrity, courtesy, and work ethic. They have talented workmanship and have a creative approach to challenging problems that always arise in renovations of older homes. This summer we had to relocate during the kitchen renovation and they were excellent at staying on schedule with all subcontractors and phases of the project moving apace well. Excellent communication throughout the whole project. Beautiful workmanship on custom carpentry and finish work. We plan on using them again soon for future projects.

We hired Covenant Construction LLC to renovate our house and built an addition. We were disappointed with the quality of the execution, delays in the construction and limited experience. Overall Covenant did not add any value creating more issues than solving ones.
