My husband and I just closed on a home and needed a full house renovation (3 bedrooms, 2 baths). After researching and getting four quotes from highly rated companies, we decided to move forward with Creative Innovation Developers. The owner (Ben) stood higher than his counterparts, just by his kindness and his experience alone. This was our first major renovation so I was nervous to say the least, but we could have not picked a better team to work on our project. Ben is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain each phase of the project and provided a detailed list of what they would provide. These guys really show up and get things done. We worked with them from start to finish on a garage demo, new ADU project, as well as a new driveway, front porch renovation, and new front walkway. This was a long set of projects, but they were transparent and available the whole way through. Ben told us that once Glendale gave us the permits, CID would really move, and he wasn’t kidding. Any time we weren’t waiting on the city, the guys were working on the project. The fact that they have their own architect made the beginning of the project run so much more smoothly than the horror stories we’ve heard from friends. We chose them because every other company we talked to about the project couldn’t give us a solid price, and Creative Innovation seemed to have it figured out. They were great about working around the particulars of our site, with a large oak tree that we didn’t want to damage, we appreciated how careful they were with that. We had some miscommunication issues occasionally, but it was a long project with a lot of moving parts, so an occasional miscommunication isn’t surprising, and Ben and Ozzy always fixed any issue we had promptly. And as two women, we appreciated that we always felt safe with the people they sent to do work here. Overall, we very much recommend CID - they won’t disappear on you, they get stuff done, and they’re pleasant to work with.

We have a couple of major remodeling projects at home and needed an honest contractor who can help us develop the ideas before deciding on one, either adding a master suite and remodeling the kitchen, or building an ADU. I recently worked with Creative Innovation Developers to update my kitchen and bathroom and make a couple other changes to my house. Shlomi and Jordan were great to work with. They listened to what I was looking for and suggested some things that hadn’t occurred to me but were good ideas. I have a small older home, which created some challenges, but they rose to the occasion, and everything turned out great. I am enjoying my kitchen for the first time in years, and my bathroom has a fresher and more contemporary appearance now. My husband and I were trying to find the right person to do this big remodelling/build house project. We met Ben and the rest is history. He is always on time, which I truly appreciate. We recently had the pleasure of working with Creative Innovation Developers for a kitchen remodeling project, and we are very satisfied with the results. The entire process, from the initial consultation to the completion of the project, was handled professionally and efficiently. We selected Creative Innovation Developers after meeting with several different design/build firms with the goal of expanding and updating our kitchen, bar area and updating a three-car garage. Our entire project entailed: • Enclosing a ~250 sq foot patio space into our kitchen and updating the entire kitchen with new cabinets, floors, tile, ceiling height, electric, etc. • Updating a 1960s pass-through bar to a walk-up bar with new plumbing, electric, cabinets, tile • Updating our garage to include creating an attic, enclosing in sheetrock, adding epoxy flooring • Changing out a double front door • Updating tile throughout the house Ben (Owner of Creative Innovation Developers) has his own team that has been with him for many years and also engages with third parties who also have a long-standing relationship with him. When you engage with Creative Innovation Developers, Ben is probably the first person you’ll meet. He’ll meet with you to understand the scope of your project, he’ll come back with an overview of your project, explain the costs and assign a project manager. But that’s not the end – Ben doesn’t pass off the project never to be seen again – he’s a constant figure in the project. Randomly stopping by to see how things are going and checking in via text or phone. We very much appreciated his attention to our project and his quickness to address any of our concerns. Our project we ran into a few hurdles (asbestos, lead, odd requests from inspectors), but Ben and team tackled each one with us – either through recommendations for specialists (asbestos, lead) or creative solutions to address inspectors’ “recommendations” (AKA demands). A few of the inspector requirements led to changes to the original contract, but Ben took the time to walk us through the impact, what would have to be done and I always felt comfortable that he had our best interest in mind as it pertained to the extra cost. We spent our first Christmas in the “new house” a few days after the team finished and our friends and family (several of whom are in the construction businesses) were uniformly impressed with the quality of work and overall outcome. We have already recommended Creative Innovation Developers to friends and family and will continue to do so!

We could not have had a better experience with Creative Innovation Developers. Ben and Ozzie are amazing to work with. We contacted several contractors to get quotes for building a sunroom. Most of them didn’t even ask what we were looking to do, they just came in and started telling us about what they would want to do to our house. Ben came in and listened to what we wanted to do. Because of city requirements for an addition, we decided to remodel the house instead of adding a sunroom. Ben was great throughout that process. He explained the city’s requirements and what it would take to add the sunroom. When we pivoted and asked about remodeling the house instead, he didn’t even bat an eye. He was back a week later with new plans that were perfect. The house looks amazing!! We lived in the house during construction and while it wasn’t the most fun, all the crews were very respectful of the fact that we were still living there. They cleaned up after themselves every day and put-up plastic sheets to minimize the dust and debris spreading throughout the rest of the house. Ben and Ozzie were very attentive and considerate throughout the process. They were quick to respond to any questions and concerns we had. When we did run into problems, they were clear about what the issue was and what could be done to solve it. The project was completed on time and on budget. We were nervous about taking on such a big construction project, but Ben and Ozzie really made the whole process as easy and comfortable as possible. Ben and Ozzie have made our dreams of remodeling the house a reality and it’s so much more than we ever thought it would be. I would highly recommend CID for any home project you have in mind. They are honest, trustworthy and just simply great people.

Ben and Ozzie from Creative Innovation Developers (CID) have been a pleasure to work with on my whole home remodel and ADU conversion. Because of our large project, I wanted to work with a company that was a one-stop shop. I was looking for reasonable quotes, but more importantly I was looking for someone honest, reliable, good at their craft and knowledgeable on the city’s requirements. I feel as if working with a contractor is similar to relationships. You need trust, cooperation, honesty and you need to feel comfortable with them since you’ll be working with them for an extended period of time. I met with multiple contractors and their responses were pretty similar. After my speed dating sessions with contractors, I decided to call Ben for a follow-up meeting mainly based on how comfortable he made me feel at our first meeting. Ben listened to our needs and made helpful/cost effective recommendations. There was no pressure to spend a huge amount of $ just to get prelim plans and 3D renderings done. We knew we would be spending a decent amount of $ for our project and Ben was the only one willing to take the baby steps necessary to get us comfortable. Most others wanted a large upfront fee before I saw any plans or renderings. The recommendations from Ben for doors, windows, tile and flooring vendors have been great. They all have been super responsive and friendly while offering “Ben’s” competitive prices. Can’t thank Ben, Ozzie and CID enough for all that they have done for our family home.

This review is a long time coming. We recommend Ben, our project manager Ozzie, and CID to all of our friends and neighbors who ask, because everything about our experience with them was the opposite of the horror stories that we heard from our friends about general contractors. Price – Ben gave us a very detailed estimate of price for our project (which was major) at the very beginning, and stuck to it. He was super transparent about when things were due, and how much we would owe at every step. No hidden costs. Amazing. Architect – you know the old ‘my architect won’t work with a certain city’ (in our case, Glendale) thing? Or ‘my architect and GC hate each other’ thing? Didn’t happen for us, because Ben has his own architect working for him. WHAT?? Honestly this was one of the many key reasons we picked CID, and one of the reasons our project went so well. No conflict, no design miscommunications, no disagreements on what should go where. The Glendale thing – so there are a few cities in LA that are notorious for being difficult to work with…Glendale (where we live) is one of them. I don’t know how, but we were never delayed significantly by permitting or inspection issues. I think this boiled down to a couple things: Ben and Ozzie are organized and know the process really well. They can time things perfectly, and also know how to efficiently manage what is being worked on and when so that if one area is waiting for an inspection/permit, progress is still being made in another area. Quality – see pictures. We got to pick all the details of what we wanted, and got to say what we wanted in our redesign. We love our house Communication – Ben and Ozzie were always accessible and responsive. Ozzie speaks like 1,000 different languages (clearly exaggerating, but it’s a lot), which is really helpful as a PM. A couple things got lost in translation between us, Ben, Ozzie, and the folks who came to do the work, but that is to be expected with such a large project. Timing – they got started on the project right away, and were done by our deadline (when our old lease was up). The one issue we encountered was with one of the vendors…they were a bit subpar. But every other vendor we used through Ben was amazing and kind. Also, when Ben found out the subpar vendor wasn’t on top of things, he intervened and they shaped up real quick XD All in all, we highly recommend CID. Ben and Ozzie were honest, transparent, and communicative. Honestly the best tell is that we are still friends, still text them for recommendations of vendors, and will absolutely be using them for “phase 2” of work on our house, whenever that may happen!!

The hardest part of a home renovation is putting your trust and money in a contractor you have just met. Most of us don't have ties into the industry and have to take a leap of faith. I can honestly say we could not be any more pleased than we were with Creative innovation Developers. They were referred to us through friends who had just used them for a kitchen remodel and were more than thrilled with their results. We worked with Ben who was there with us every step of the way. He kept the project moving and always had an open ear for any changes in design that we would throw at him. Communication was excellent. Ben was reachable almost anytime, and timelines and expected work flow schedules were always relayed to us, so we had a good sense of what was going to happen next. There was zero upselling. When it came to picking materials there was never pressure to pick one thing over the other. Always that we should just consider our own tastes and budget. As I worked from home through the entire remodel I met all the people coming in to do work and I can honestly say they were all great. I don't know a lot about how much these projects should cost. But speaking with a lot of friends who have remodeled, or are in the process, the cost was very fair and reasonable. Overall I have to say working with Ben, and Creative Innovation Developers was an excellent experience and EXTREMELY STRESS FREE. All caps because I think that was the best part of the process. At no point were we ever worried or uninformed about what was happening. We will definitely be using them again when we get to remodeling our bathrooms!

We reached out to Ben in early 2020 for our kitchen reno, fireplace refresh, and floor install (entire home). He made us feel super comfortable during our initial meeting that we didn't bother looking for anyone else. Recently we contacted Creative Innovation about doing a complete remodel at our newly purchased 1967 house. From our first meeting, Shlomi was friendly and extremely helpful. During the planning, Shlomi gave input and ways to do what we wanted in a way that ensured it would be done right without costing us more than needed. Unfortunately, previously unknown issues with the house have forced us to alter our plans. We will no longer be renovating the house for our use and as such no longer need Shlomi's services. Rest assured, when we buy our next house we will be contacting Shlomi to come and make it what we want. If you are doing renovations you owe it to yourself to talk to Shlomi. I am so impressed by this company. I requested a consultation with 5 different contractors. It’s been 2 weeks and I still haven’t heard back from 4 of them just to get a quote. The one contractor’s quote was outrageously high. Creative Innovation Developers met with me and spent over an hour to review our plans in detail and made helpful suggestions. My experience with Creative Innovation Developers has been outstanding. I am having my 2 car garage converted into an ADU From beginning to now 3/4 of the way done, Ben, Ozzie and Monica have been outstanding. They answer their phones, they reply to emails and text messages immediately. They are always available to answer my questions. I used Creative Innovation Developers to do a complete remodel and add a bedroom to my house. I could not be happier with the work. Shlomi was very communicative through the whole schedule. Creative Innovation Developers Inc. crew coordinated and performed a number of various repairs, replacements, upgrades, and restorative fixes on our Downey CA home. This work included exterior repair of stucco, replacement of entry door, entire flooring, wall repair and paint, complete roofing, plumbing, and various outside and inside trims. All facets of project work were completed promptly & professionally as specified; the schedule was successfully maintained; and unforeseen changes were seamlessly integrated very cost effectively. Very pleased with Creative Innovation Developers Inc. All went well, despite numerous problems that were hidden under old roof. Ben and his crew were professional and did a great job on the many aspects of this roof installation job. I have always been very wary of roofers but I was extremely happy with the quality and speed of their work. I was at the site for all of the job and could not have hoped for better work. They tear off approximately 3000 sq ft flat roof, about 50 years old with multiple layers. Re-flash sky lights, put new glass on existing skylights. install new drains and repair damage siding. I will recommend them to friends and if I need this kind of work again I would have no hesitation to call them.

I worked with Shlomi on this project, and the job was run by Jose. The remodel was complicated as it was a 4th floor unit of a downtown condo. Demolition was extensive, so removal of debris and delivery of building materials was a big job in addition to the construction. The scope of the work was extensive, as it involved a new kitchen, new full bath, and new 3/4 bath in addition to a loft extension. We also replaced flooring, removed doors, and installed very large barn doors. This project took exactly 6 months, but this schedule included the holiday season. The project went well. Communication with the contractor was good and the quality of the work was outstanding. There were minor issues that occur with any project and the addition of permitting and inspection timing with the city of Burbank added to the timeline but this was out of everyone's hands. The finish work (drywall) was a standout on this project, and there were no issues with the completed remodel and all finishes. After completion, when a couple of minor things came up, they were addressed immediately. I would recommend this contractor to anyone wanting their work to be completed correctly and permitted properly. These things add cost, but the peace of mind that comes from knowing that things are done correctly (especially in a condo building) is priceless. It was a great pleasure working with everyone involved on this project, including the craftsman doing the work. The project was handled professionally and respectfully throughout and I am glad to finally be moving in to a gorgeous space.

I just walked into my home which is not even completed yet, and I felt so EXCITED and compelled to share my experience that I have been having with Ben and his team from Creative Innovation Developers. It’s one thing to have a vision of the changes that we wanted to make, and another to see it on a 3D design but to actually see the guys working hard everyday and FINALLY seeing it coming together is the best and that’s the feeling I’m having today and it’s AWESOME! We hired Ben and his crew to complete a general remodeling of our home, which consisted of almost every room in the house. I had a positive feeling from the first conversation I had with his office manager Monika, she was very friendly and helpful. My situation was a little tricky as I had tenants living in my home at the time and we were living out of state. She was able to coordinate everything and schedule Ben to come out around my flight schedule with no hassle. My first meeting with Ben was great. He was very professional, knowledgeable, honest and down to earth. He showed up on time and listened to all of my crazy ideas for tearing down walls and building new ones. I had a lot of extravagant ideas that Ben eventually convinced me that it wasn’t necessary to have some of those thing done in order to get the look we were going for. He asked me to trust him and I’m so glad that I did. As I mentioned, I wanted extravagant and my husband was watching the cost. I was nervous that we were going to spend money and I wouldn’t be completely happy, however Ben has been able to give me most of the things I wanted that is within my husband’s budget. He truly puts his customers first before the money. Even when there were times when we couldn’t agree or was indecisive, Ben was the same.... he was very patient and understanding. Ben provided me with estimates for the work in a timely manner. All the quotes were competitive with other contractors. Prior to and during the work, Ben had made suggestions in making the projects better and more economical. Ben handled all the required permit applications and inspections with the town. The whole process was hassle free. Ben performed tasks beyond what the contracts had specified. My 1980's kitchen was remodeled. We used the existing floor plan. One wall was partially removed. New granite counter tops, new appliances and sinks, new lighting and the cabinet drawers were refinished. All walls were painted. We also had a wet bar removed from the family room and the wood floors were replaced to modern waterproof laminate. Everything was completed within the time frame that Ben gave me. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Ben was available, and made sure to be at the house at the beginning and end of each work day. He explained what was going on, and made sure I was happy with the work. I would hire them again!!!

We were ready to call it quits and pack up our ideas. Before we met Shlomi, we didn't think any of it would happen. From our first meeting to the final day of remodel, Ben and his team combined professionalism with creativity and respect for the fact that we would be living in the space as they were doing their work. The guys showed up when they said they would, worked in a tidy and organized manner, and cleaned up after themselves every day. We just signed a contract for a 200 sq ft addition and full kitchen and bathroom remodel. Setting up an appointment for our estimate was very easy and we met with Ben the owner of the company. Ben's ability to envision the transformation of the space was impressive and his 3d designs live up to his ideas. He has a very professional yet approachable and friendly manner. Our project is fairly big and will span from 8-10 months once we acquire the necessary city permits. As this company is a one stop shop, they will support you with design and permits through their in-house architect and engineer and will see the project through to the finish.

Every now and then, you luck up on an honest contractor. Ben is one of those guys. I had a handyman do subpar work on my shed. Ben came out and gave me a lot of great advice -- free of charge and without concern of whether or not I was going to hire him. He was extremely helpful and even referred me to his trusted electrician to deal with directly. He also made another call for me to research what I needed to do to make other items up to code. Again, for free. I wish there were more contractors out there like Ben!

I hired Creative innovation to build my pool and do some exterior remodeling. Ben was very knowledgeable about each phase of the remodeling and presented 2 options of beautiful 3D designs (that we did not pay for) for the pool. Before I sold my house , I needed to remodel it to bring it up to a livable condition since my renters kind of ruined my home. I needed to renovate my kitchen, bathroom, paint exterior and interior of the house. I called Ben , the general contractor, on a Sunday evening expecting to get voicemail, however, he answered the phone and talked to me. Ben promptly returned my call the next day and scheduled an appointment with me and the hubs on a weekday evening to accommodate our schedule. He met with us in the evenings several times before our project began, which definitely helped gain our confidence in him and his team. Before the project began, Ben was very clear in the pricing. He gave us a spreadsheet with an itemized list of services, materials, and prices, which also included allowances The allowances were pretty spot on. I believe I was a couple of hundred dollars under budget on all my allowances. He assured me several times the final price would not increase unless there were unforeseen issues with the house that needed repair, or if I added more work to the project, or if I went over my allowances. There were only two issues with the house that needed repair outside the original job description, and they promptly informed of the issues with the pricing. Communication was always easy and fast. I highly reccomend, will definitely hire in the future.
