Clint Haight is the founder and owner of Custom Projects and Homes. Clint grew up in Southeast Iowa and now lives in Swisher in the house he built for his family—his wife Katie and two sons, Maxwell and Levi. He serves on several committees, including Planning and Zoning for the city of Swisher and the Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City. Clint describes his first construction job, in 1998, as "a five-gallon bucket of tar and a stiff paint brush." He's come a long way! Clint now has a degree in construction technology from Kirkwood Community College, where he learned all the essential construction and contracting skills. And he honed his skills with extensive work in remodeling, new construction, and commercial projects before starting his own company in 2006. He is a member of the Cedar Rapids' Home Builders Association and Corridor Business Builders. In addition to his top-notch construction and contracting skills, Clint is an expert carpenter. He has a special interest and talent for making unique furniture, mantels, and interior doors, especially with reclaimed wood. Clint is enthusiastic about his work and about pleasing his clients. "I listen to what my clients want and try to think of ways to make it work," he explains. "I enjoy seeing the transformation of projects!"
