Working with Carlos on our home remodel was a great experience. I actually found his company on Instagram, which sounds crazy, but I was really drawn to his transparency and how detail oriented he was. He came to the job site every day with a smile on his face, and was always positive and professional. We did a full-gut home remodel with a budget of approximately $500,000, so it was a big job, and definitely stressful. There are going to be hiccups in any job, and everyone told me to expect delays. But Carlos handled everything like a pro, and our project was finished within the timeframe we were told. I just had my bathroom and laundry closet renovated by Cutting Edge Innovative. I have been in contact with Cutting Edge Innovative for a year now on this project. Due to insurance claims issues it took me over a year to receive payment. But Cutting Edge Innovative was there during the whole process of my water damage issue. A gut renovation starting the day of covid lockdown is not a easy task, but Harvey and the team at cutting Edge stood up to the challenged and delivered a great final product. I won’t pretend that everything was perfect and no issues, but what I can say is that whenever there was an issue the problem was resolved professionally and promptly. I used Cutting Edge for a near gut remodel of my house in coral gables in 2020/2021. The project involved everything from new plumbing and electric, to new drywall and hardwood floors, raising ceilings in some rooms and a new kitchen and 3 bathrooms, plus interior and exterior painting and rendering the outside stucco. They were OUTSTANDING. I frankly expected that working with a GC would be an awful experience - but these guys were extremely professional, on budget, highly responsive and clearly cared deeply about getting things done to a very high standard. I worked with Carlos (the owner) and the project manager was Davide N, who I can't recommend highly enough. Davide is smart, trustworthy, and able to juggle a hundred things at once. I recommend them without reservation.

We hired Cutting Edge to complete a renovation project we wanted to do in a townhome we had just recently closed on in South Beach. We came across Carlos and his team on Houzz and were impressed with his many great reviews. After reaching out and setting up an appointment to meet and go through our project, we were very impressed with Carlos off the bat. He is very professional and thorough when it comes to explanation of what his team will need to do in order to complete the work required to be done. Immediately after hiring Cutting Edge, the communication lines were open and we were kept up to date at all times as to what was going on. Ronald was our project manager and he did a wonderful job of handling the specifics of the job onsite as well as keeping us posted as to what was going on. Carlos and Ronald were always available to us whether we had a minor question or needed explanations regarding something. Our project encompassed almost all parts of our townhouse including installing kitchen countertops & backsplash, sanding down and re-staining an entire second floor of wood floors, removal and installation of a custom stair rail, putting up drywall to create extra second floor rooms, interior painting throughout and other items including electric wiring. In addition, we were pregnant during this timeframe and we were on a strict timeline as to when completion needed to be. Carlos and Ronald worked with us diligently to make sure our construction was done efficiently and on time (which in our opinion is hard to come by in Miami). Overall we are very happy with the work Cutting Edge has done for us and we would have full confidence hiring them again to complete a renovation project should we want to. We hired Carlos and his team at Cutting Edge to do a major renovation gut of our home; moving load-bearing walls, new plumbing, new electrical, new mechanical, new roof, new kitchen, flooring, drywall, and two new additions. Carlos was in constant communication during the entire 12 months of the project. When running into issues (inevitable with older homes) he always troubleshooted and explored solutions before approaching us with recommendations in mind. He has a “can do” attitude and follows through. Always gave us plenty of time to have selections made ahead of each phase. A refreshing concept. Carlos and Lanny were the managers of my project, who were both extremely professional. And we even had a bunch of laughs throughout. I was renovating my house in order to make it a more pleasant place to live. So, why shouldn’t the process be a pleasant one? It can be. I found them here on Houzz, and will admit I was initially scared off by the high-end nature of the properties included in their marketing materials. I needed a gut renovation, but in a modest (while stylish) fashion. I wasn’t looking to be on the cover of “Modern Living”, and didn’t want to pay a mega-premium. I’m glad I didn’t pre-judge …I called, got a prompt estimate from Carlos broken down by the items I wanted done, asked my questions, got honest and straight-forward responses, and was in contract within a few days. I met Carlos and cutting edge in 2015 when my wife and I had just bought a house that needed to be completely renovated. At the time Carlos was the 5th contractor we had interviewed. Carlos was a breath of fresh air..Anytime you contact him, he immediately gets back to you (even at 11pm). He was more than willing to work with some of my subcontractors that I trust and work with. His prices were very reasonable and was willing to work around our budget without losing any quality. Since then, we have completed our dream house on time and in budget, since this renovation I recommended him to my mother and law, brother and friends. He's the epitome of professionalism.

Hired CEI to renovate a small bed/bath. They delayed the project 8 months, bait-and-switch tactics were used as they bumped their price up 50% the day before the project was slated to commence. Held my deposit hostage demanding bogus payments, cashed it and sent me the remainder. *BEWARE*
