Vincent Dosio has lived in the historic Hudson Valley hamlet of Staatsburg NY for 35 years. After graduating from Roosevelt High School, he attended the world-famous Culinary Institute of America, earning his associate's degree in culinary arts in 1997. He then bought a dilapidated 1840 farmhouse and armed with the experience he had gained from working side by side with his father over the years, set about bringing it back to its full glory. Vincent fell in love with the work. He began to apprentice with top local carpenters and read every book that he could find on the subject, something he still does to this day. Vincent is also constantly looking at old buildings in the area - there are endless choices - for ideas and inspiration. In his off time, Vincent enjoys time spent with his wife, Anna and their three children, Catarina, 14, Vincent Jr, 9, and Giovani, 4. He likes to kayak and camp in the Adirondacks or on the Hudson River where he often searches for Indian artifacts along the banks. Vincent likes to travel in his winnebago with his family to historic places. One of his favorite places to visit is Savannah Georgia. Why you ask? If you haven't seen the beautiful architecture there you need to! He downhill mountain bikes with his oldest son. Vincent also likes to find vintage pieces and recreate or re-purpose them. I am a very creative and inventive artist with high standards in the custom decorating, restoration, renovation field. Dosio Restorations does special orders and will have a concept for any project you have. Additions, Outdoor Living Space, Or a Rocking Chair Porch might be an idea.
