Doylestown Builders

I'm happy to share my experience with Doylestown Builders, who put together my IKEA kitchen in the spring of 2021. They did a solid job, both in terms of speed and quality of work. Right from the start, Doylestown Builders was on the ball. They were on time for our first meeting, were polite, and knew a lot about IKEA's product line and how to install everything. This really helped when we were planning out the project, as they were able to give good advice. What stood out about Doylestown Builders was how fast they got the job done. I was a bit surprised at first by how quickly they said they could finish, but they followed through without skipping any steps. They knew their stuff when it came to IKEA kitchens and didn't miss any details. I was also impressed by how they stuck to the original budget. They were upfront about costs, and there were no hidden or surprise charges. It's a big plus when you don't have to worry about going over budget. The end result was a well-put-together IKEA kitchen that I'm really happy with. It works great, looks good, and you can tell they knew what they were doing. All in all, I'd recommend Doylestown Builders. If you're thinking about installing an IKEA kitchen, give them a call. They're quick, they do good work, and they don't overcharge. They gave me a kitchen I can be proud of, and I'd hire them again for future projects. Every member of his team were personable and fun to work with!

Jon and his team at Doylestown Builders did a great job for us on a 2 story addition with rooms upstairs. They used the architect plans and made them even better. All the subs they used were professional and courteous. I liked the transparent billing too. We used a "time and materials" model and I think that worked well for both parties. You hear some bad stories about working with contractors. I was nervous, but it all worked out great. I would definitely recommend Doylestown Builders for small or large projects.

I hired Doylestown Builders to finish my basement and am very happy with the outcome. I had a unique vision for the space that included a “fun zone” space for my kids with a climbing wall and monkey bars. Jon and his team happily took on the assignment and I enjoyed working with them to make the vision a reality.

My husband and I recently had some work done on our house. We had our kitchen remodeled, garage painted and some electrical work, load bearing walls knocked down, some outside repairing, and our mudroom/laundry leveled and retile. Everything turned out amazing! Our kitchen went from 1960s, to modern farmhouse and we love it. I wish I could post pictures! Jon and his crew were on time, clean, very communicative, and know what they are doing. We plan to do more updating to our house and definitely will contact them in the future!

I used this company for a couple of major projects and some minor repairs. They remodeled my basement and, later, when a tree fell on my house, did that repair as well. I especially appreciated the prompt repair after the tree strike. I will use them again if the need arises.

My husband and I worked with Doylestown Builders on an extensive project including a custom built kitchen, cocktail bar and creating an additional office and utility room. Despite the complexity and duration of the job, and some related cost over runs, overall Jon and his crew were always extremely attentive and eager to ensure that the job was done as we would like. We had previously worked with Doylestown Builders on remodeling our family room including adding custom wainscoting and installing a copper roofed-bay window and we were very pleased with the craftmanship and attention to detail. From our experience we would say that the Company do best with smaller projects and Jon and his crew worked hard and were always attentive and pleasant to work with.

After meeting with a couple of architects and several contractors, we chose Doylestown Builders. One of the reasons we picked Doylestown was the very detailed estimate – much more so than other two. This actually made comparing their estimate with the other two lower estimates more difficult but it gave us a much better idea of the costs and possible contingency cost. As the contract was being created, we spent a couple of hours on the phone going over all the categories and subcategories of work along with a timeline of what to have ordered and ready by when (like, when to get that range delivered). As the work progressed, the details in the categories and subcategories in the contract made the change orders much more understandable. So when we got to ripping up the multiple layers of old flooring, or replacing the back door, or the plumbing or updating the electrical, we knew there would be a range depending on how complicated or unforeseen the circumstances. Even at the initial meeting, the contractor had a detailed list and checked things off, adding his notes. So when we were comparing the contracts, we couldn’t just look at the numbers. Doylestown’s bid was higher, but including more detail. Although we got anxious about the change orders, the final cost was within a few percentage points of the original contract. And they communicated very well up and down the line, with us and with their office. In addition, we are not sure we would have made it though the process given all the problems we had with the cabinet company and the countertops, had it not been for the Doylestown crew. They had some challenges – retrofitting the cabinets for our industrial sink, customizing a pantry, and nothing was ever a problem, it was “let’s think of a way to make this work.” Their steady hand, good nature, high aesthetic, and ability to reframe problems as a solution waiting to happen. They made what is – let’s face it – a very disruptive process manageable. I when our beautiful kitchen was finished, but I miss not seeing the crew!

Doylestown Building & Remodeling Company did an excellent work, transforming our old kitchen and floor into a modern and beautiful space (Ikea Kitchen + Porcelanosa flooring) . They were very professional and extremely nice. They came few times after the job was completed to make small fixes and did not charge a penny. Would highly recommend them !

We recently completed a kitchen remodel with Doylestown Builders. We ended up with a terrific product. We are so happy with the professionalism of the crew and their responsiveness to our needs. We went through a number of changes along the way, and the crew and management were very accommodating and helpful. We have only good things to say about the process and our experience. We were especially impressed with the knowledge of skill of our team leader, Paul, who was extremely skilled in every area. His knowledge and execution are amazing. Pricing and payment was fair and transparent. They were open to questions and dialogue, and we were very happy at all levels of communication. If you want contractors to help install an IKEA kitchen, complete other remodeling, or work on general housing projects, you should strongly consider them. Beyond the quality of their work, we were also impressed with the availability and level of courtesy everyone displayed. From late-nite planning visits to accomodate our schedule, to real-time texting and emailing when we were unable to attend the worksite in person, everything was smooth. We had a great experience with Doylestown Builders!They installed our IKEA kitchen and also did some additional work. Their work was impressive. The crew was professional and respectful. The crew assisted me with decisions when small issues came up in the design and changes had to be made. They really listened to my concerns and were patient. The crew supervisor even gave me his cell #. I would hire them again for our next project.

We had wanted to remodel our kitchen for quite a while; November 2014 we visited our local Ikea to look at their kitchens. The salesperson recommended that we wait until February 2015, as there was going to be a new kitchen line. In February we contacted the kitchen design company that Ikea works with (Traemand) They came one day and in a 4 hour session helped us design our new kitchen. The next step was to order the kitchen components at our local Ikea. Traemand connects you to a local contractor, our contractor was Doylestown Builders. Construction started when all our kitchen cabinets and other components were scheduled for delivery. Our contractor, Doylestown Builders and the construction foreman, Alan, were fantastic! Alan and Doylestown Builders were always extremely professional and competent! Alan always thoroughly cleaned the area each day – kept in contact with us as to what would be completed each day and if there were any issues. IN the end start to finish the job took about 5 weeks – We did have an issue receiving all the cabinet doors that were ordered – Ikea was having trouble keeping up with demand for the new kitchen – but when the last doors did arrive Alan and Doylestown Builders were right there –installing the doors! I, wholeheartedly, recommend Doylestown Builders! They will be the company we go to for our next home project! The first photo is our old kitchen then three photos of the new kitchen!
