We hired Leo after meeting with him in July to discuss our home project. Work began in September, and now here we are in March and the project is still not complete, with several items that should have been finished months ago still pending.
The biggest issue throughout this entire process has been the complete lack of communication and professionalism. We constantly had to be the ones reaching out for updates, and many times our calls and messages went unanswered. When we did get responses, we were given timelines and information that later turned out to be inaccurate. At this point, we truly question whether items were actually ordered when he said they were.
For example, we were told our glass railing was ordered in November, and months later we were still being told it had not come in. The same situation happened with our slider door, which we were told was ordered last year, and we are now being told it is still 6–8 weeks out due to “delays.” We repeatedly asked Leo for the contact information for the companies he ordered these items from so we could follow up ourselves, and he refused to provide it and stopped responding to those requests altogether.
In addition to the delays and lack of communication, much of the work that was completed by his crew was done poorly. My husband is now spending his weekends fixing mistakes that should have been done correctly the first time. Unfortunately, we have reached the point where we had to hire a new contractor just to get this project finished properly and functioning the way it should have from the beginning.
Leo is a nice person, but the way he runs his business. the lack of communication, lack of accountability, poor workmanship, and overall lack of professionalism is not someone we would ever recommend to do your home project.
