Duffee Construction

I hired Jason, like the other reviewers, because he was less expensive and my realtor recommended him. The end product was very nice and overall I am very pleased. However, I had major issues with Jason's time management skills. He would always say he will call back and give you a day or time, but he would NEVER honored that day/time. I became so frustrated that at one point I considered firing him. The project WAS completed on time and Jason and his crew does good work, but if you are looking for someone who respects your communication expectations, then I cannot recommend Jason Duffee. I am now about to start phase two of my renovations and sent a text yesterday to Jason requesting a time to provide me an estimate and just like clock work he responds with a text that "I will call tomorrow to set up an appointment." No surprise, tomorrow came and went and no call from Jason as promised. It is very disappointing and disrespectful!! I decided I am going with another contractor. Oh, another piece of advice, beware of the plumber he works with.

We hired Jason and his team to do a ton of work on a house that was about 30 years old. Paint the entire interior, landscaping, replacing some doors, fixing garage doors, and dealing with some plumbing issues. At first everything seemed to be going really smoothly...and we were pleased with the work being done. We were, however, a bit rushed during the process (because we needed to move out of our old house quickly) so some decisions were made in haste (which I take responsibility for.) We had big plans to work with him again as we moved forward in the coming years to do a possible kitchen remodel and a couple bathroom remodels as well as painting the exterior of the house etc. I'm glad we waited because many things have become apparent in the year or so since we moved in: short cuts that were taken, choices that were made, things that, had we had time to do our due diligence could have been done differently. About 9 months ago we had to have them come out and do some additional repairs that were promised to be done during the initial remodel and scheduling was a nightmare. He never calls when he says he will, he always reschedules at least 2/3 times, and usually the day of or within the hour that he originally told you he would be coming out (or sending his guys.) Every single closet door has broken in some way since being installed over a year ago and the same scheduling nightmare ensued to try and get them repaired. Yes, he is very affordable, but attention to detail, professionalism, and respect of other people's time/money is not his strong suit.

Jason Duffee has been a great contractor to work with!! My husband and I used Duffee Construction at our old house to do some plumbing work, landscaping and cosmetic work. The pricing was lower than the other bids we received and the work was amazing! When something wasn't to our liking he was back over fixing whatever we were requesting to ensure that we were satisfied with the end result. My husband and I recently bought a larger home for our family and there was a TON of work that needed to be done prior to us moving in. We hired Duffee Construction again and were extremely pleased with the outcome!! The property we were buying was filled with trash and debris, Jason's crew came in and cleaned everything up. We are currently having the backyard landscaped by Duffee Construction and are very pleased and can't wait to see the end result!!
