Eco-Nomical Contractors

I would not recommend Eco-Nomical Contractors to anyone. Tom Michalic is a great sales man and helpful for planning renovations, but horrible at execution and customer service. At the time when I was having my renovations done, I went weeks without contractors showing up and I'd have to call and be the one to get them to show up. Tom was not very on top of it. However eventually the work got done so I just went with it and thought it was behind me. However, a year after the work was done I got a letter from the city saying I never paid for a permit and was therefore fined. It clearly stated in the contract that Tom and I signed that he would obtain all permits. I paid him the cost of the permits. I contacted Tom and he said he would pay it. Again, I thought this issue was behind me. Well this year when I was doing my taxes I never received my Indiana return and when I called, the city said they were withholding because I never paid the fine. When I contacted Tom he blamed it on the city and said he would handle it. Weeks went by and he did nothing. I contacted him numerous times and it was either no answer or saying that he'll look into it. In the end I got stuck with the fine so its money that Tom stole from me. Very unprofessional and I would not recommend him to anyone.

Trying to find a perfect home is a daunting and sometimes impossible task. After months of looking at houses we didn't quite fall in love with, we started looking at what potential the buildings had. Tom and his team at Eco-Nomical Contractors were astronomically helpful in getting our house up to code and trying to get us everything we wanted! We got our dream home and gained 30% equity right off the bat! We couldn't have asked for a better outcome and love every second in our newly remodeled home. I would highly recommend Eco-Nomical Contractors to anyone who wants a swift and less stressful renovation experience.

ECO-Nomical Contractors is very professional, experienced and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them. They transformed a very dated room in our 1920s basement, it looks great!

On the business side I have referred many clients to Tom and his team and they have always taken great care of them. Personally I had an electrical issue at my home and after call several people with no luck he came out same day. Ended up replacing the entire breaker box due to severe arching. They were fast and respectful of my children running around. Highly recommend them

Eco-Nomical Contractors did a great job renovating our guest bath, master bath and master closet. They worked together with us to set a responsible budget, create a overview of the work and set a valid timeline. As most people know, working through a renovation provides many opportunities for the project to come off the rails and the have the project fall behind. Eco-Nomical Contractors was able to manage multiple individuals to ensure our timelines and goals were achieved.

My experience with company was excellent. From A-Z ,the company updated me with each step. Purchased home 5/2016 and 203K was used for all my repairs and rennovations. My dream home. I could not do it without Tom and Eco-Nomical Contractors. Thanks !!!! Awesome work
