We used Executive Design and Construction last summer for the remodeling of our kitchen (including adding a cutout) and three bathrooms, retiling the entryway, and removal of popcorn ceilings. Vahik was insightful in the planning of the remodeling as we had never done any renovations before. He took great pride in his work and wanted to ensure everything was carefully and competently done, and when we had questions and concerns, he was responsive (though it could be tricky sometimes to nail down exact timelines). Ultimately, the most important thing is that we are very happy with the results and all of our guests can’t compliment the work enough. Thank you Vahik and Executive Design for all your hard work on this project – it really shows!
**UPDATE- We called Vahik to come out and touch up some bubbling paint in our bathroom. He and his crew were quick and courteous in fixing the issue. Also because we live in LA, there were cracks that formed in some of the remodeled areas of the apartment. Vahik took care of these issues professionally so that the cracks wouldn't come back, not just with a simple paint over. Thank you!

Vahik did a huge remodel for us and pretty much turned a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house into a 6 bedroom, 5 bathroom house. A year after we began the construction we are in our house and still LOVE Vahik and his crew. How many people can say that about their contractor after the job is done? Now that our job is coming to an end, we are actually sad that we won't see all of them on a daily basis. They are genuinely great people and are masters in their craft. The finish work on our house is superb. We interviewed 10 contractors before we chose Vahik, hoping that we had made the right decision. Now, our house surpasses everything that we could have hoped for and we truly owe it all to Vahik and his crew. In every aspect of our job, Vahik and his brother Shahe would use the best material and try to critically think about what was being done and think about how it would affect the next three steps. Vahik stayed true to his price that he quoted us and we had very minimal and completely reasonable change orders on things that we had changed our mind on. One day in the middle of the job, I came home and found Shahe watering my fruit trees which I had completely neglected. This was in no way part of his job, but he was worried that my trees were going to die. This is the kind of people they are, they CARE about you, your family, your property. They go above and beyond the scope of work and I saw this on a daily basis. We cannot say enough great things about Vahik and his crew. We would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing any sort of contruction. He is very straightforward and honest. I never worried for a second wether he had my best interest at heart. He is a perfectionist which is a great quality in a contractor. He thinks that your home is a reflection of himself and he wants it to be perfect.

Our former realtor, Richard Schulman, recommended Vahik to us about four and a half years ago to add a bathroom to our master and do some cosmetic remodeling of the kitchen. While there were a litany of issues with the job, the most severe had to do with the extension to the master bedroom to allow for the bathroom addition. During the course of construction, Vahik's sub-contractors removed a critical support beam underneath the floor causing the floor to sink. The beam was replaced, but there was a permanent dip in the floor. We had the foundation examined and were told that they believed everything was fine, but they couldn't get a great look at the problem area as there was no proper crawl space (an issue we have had confirmed was a violation of code regardless of the inspector's approval of the job). As we believed this was mostly cosmetic, we left it alone even though it wasn't ideal to have a slightly sagging floor. We kept in touch with Vahik throughout all of this, and he asked us to continue to reach out to him should other issues arise. As we never fully released him from his liability around this potentially serious and dangerous issue, that was something we would have continued to do regardless. While we had a lot of issues with Vahik, he was receptive to coming up with a resolution to the many problems that came up and even reimbursed us to have some of these issues repaired by other contractors.
In December 2015 we got some new furniture in our bedroom that caused the floor to start to sink even more, leading us to believe the issue may be more serious. In February 2016 it was clear we needed someone to come examine the floor. We reached out to Vahik to let him know the issue was back and we would let him know what we found out when we had other contractors come in to examine the issue (after the original beam incident we decided we did not trust him working on our home). We ultimately found out that there are two pieces of plywood that come together directly above a vent that are not properly supported by blocks. Because there is no way for anyone to properly access the area, we cannot determine if the plywood is properly joined (tongue and groove) or ascertain if the sagging in the floor is directly related to this lack of block support. Further, no one can determine if there actually is an issue with the foundation in the bedroom extension beyond the footings of the original wall given that Vahik never provided a minimum 24" x 24" access point in the crawl space.
The cost to hopefully finally level and strengthen this area in the floor is $1900. After no initial reply from Vahik we emailed again with the cost for the repair informing him that this was an issue due to the negligence of his workers and faulty design, and we had years of documentation surrounding that negligence. To date, we still have had no reply from him. We reached out to our former realtor, Richard, to ask if he would try to get in touch with Vahik as they continue to work together, and Richard let us know that "He basically doesn't want anything to do with the project anymore and isn't willing to budge..." Richard assured us our situation was a one-off unfortunate incident as he's referred $4M-$5M in business to Vahik with no other complaints since the time of our job. While I appreciate Richard trying to get Vahik to step in after all this time, I am left wondering why Vahik can't seem or want to come to a resolution - let alone simply email us back - to discuss the potentially dangerous structural issue he and his team caused at our house for which he is still liable.
While it would appear Vahik's work has been consistently better based on Richard's continuation to recommend him to clients and the various positive reviews of his work, I felt it was important to note this very recent experience with him when there was, in fact, a problem with the job. A small problem here and there is one thing, but to continue to have potential structural issues with flooring 4.5 years after the work is completed, I would have hoped that anyone would want to go above and beyond to come to have at least a conversation about the issue if not some sort of resolution.

Comment from Executive Design & Construction Inc.:
I am a hard working contractor, who cares about the quality of each project and customer satisfaction.
Richard Schulman and all of his team of Keller Williams agents, have been referring their clients and families to me for over 8 years now. As you mentioned in your review, we never had any issues keeping the clients happy with the big and small projects completed for them. Even if things went not as planned, as this is construction, and mistakes may happen, it is always our priority to go back and fix/correct and guarantee the homeowner's satisfaction.
In your particular case, we actually did go above and beyond, satisfying all your requests for refunds, covering costs of other contractors to "fix things", extra inspections by your "trusted consultants". Whether we agreed with the inspections/fixes/repairs, we satisfied all your requests for refunds, however you went on a review writing campaign using different member accounts on different platforms.
All of the work on the property was done with engineering plans, that were submitted to the City, approved by the plan checker and each step of the project was inspected and approved by the City inspectors, including the foundation, beams, flooring brought up in this review.
However since you had concerns about your flooring, and suggested to bring your own inspector, to inspect foundation and the rest of the work, we agreed to be present and even pay for it. On February 18, 2013 your foundation expert opened up the floor and inspected the foundation. Your foundation expert found no mistakes, and the matter was closed.
I can assure you that your work was done according to all the engineering calculations, inspected and approved by city officials.

I called Vahik on the recommendation of my realtor, Richard Schulman who is also a great guy. Long story short: Vahik is honest, hardworking and willing to go the extra mile to make the job happen even when the going gets tough.
I hired another contractor for a small bathroom remodel. They bailed after a week of work because they did not know how to deal with the city inspections for the permits they pulled for the job. Vahik picked up the pieces and got all the permits finaled despite a huge amount of red tape and hoop-jumping from LADBS.
Vahik and his team are amazing craftsmen who do fast and precise work. The job looks great!
Would recommend again 10/10.

Vahik and his team have done two jobs for us. This master bathroom remodel included removing the bath and building a large shower in it's place. They get 5 stars because they deserve 5 stars. On time. On budget. Honest. Quality workmanship. No hesitation in either recommending nor using Vahik again. I hope the before and after pictures do it justice.

We hired Tatoosi Construction after our initial contractor bailed on us mid-project. Mr. Tatoosi came in and did a fantastic job on our high-end bathroom remodel and charged a very reasonable price (we bought all the materials and paid him for labor only). One quote we got from someone else was triple what Mr. Tatoosi quoted/charged! In addition to working well with my wife, who has strong ideas about design, he also came up with design suggestions, all of which we went with and they worked out quite well. He had an easy-going personality. The tile work was especially good. We discovered one small plumbing issue months after the project was done, and he came back immediately and fixed the problem, not showing any "attitude" or asking for money. We will be using Vahik Tatoosi again when we re-do our kitchen. Our bathroom is featured on his page as Bathroom Remodel of Woodland Hills estate, check out the pictures!
