I really can’t say enough about Faber Custom Builders. Throughout this process they have become like family. I’m actually going to miss their whole team once our build is complete. They have gone above and beyond in every single way for us. We built throughout a pandemic and unforeseen times for the industry. Every step of the way, Faber has been there for us. It’s hard to know where to start with this review but I’ll start from the beginning… warning this could get long.. It’s funny, the qualities that set Faber apart from the beginning, carried throughout the project. The attention to detail, friendliness, teamwork, responsiveness and quality, was noticed and set them apart from the other builders we interviewed. You’ll notice it right away. Anders did so much work for us before we were even clients or signed! That set him far above and beyond the other builders we got quotes from. He worked so hard with a detailed quote, that must’ve taken hours of his time without the promise of us as clients. Any other builder we talked to, made you sign with them before even getting a detailed quote. Not Faber. Faber was also waaay more responsive than the other builders and felt like they really cared about you and your house. Our house is smaller, it’s not a huge house (1500 sq ft) and Anders made us feel like we were building a mansion with how dedicated he was to our house. He responded right away to our emails and phones call with detailed info and such a friendly nature. It was a no brained to book with them. The whole team carried out this attitude. They have a whole team working for you. Wayne, the project manager could not be better at attention to detail! Christy, whose easily become my best building buddy, haha. She’s been integral in the building process for us. Both Wayne and Christy have gone above and beyond to make sure things are here on time, nothing falls through the cracks and every detail in the house is exactly what we want. Wayne is there ALL the time (I know this cause we’re next door right now and my parents are next door to us) making sure everything is in order. Christy is behind the scenes making sure all the shipping is on time, checking the little details, emailing/calling people to make sure everything is in stock. And Anders, is always there to be quality control! I’m really so impressed with how responsive each and every one of them are. Wayne calls me to make sure everything is in order at the house site. Christy will email me making sure the back end of supplies and little things are in order. And Anders will call/email any time we need anything. Faber will become like family. Seriously. Hire someone or a builder that becomes like family. It’s priceless. I think we’ve probably had about 5k emails back and forth haha. Working so closely for so long with people you trust on such an important project is invaluable. I can’t stress enough how important it is to find a builder that you trust and feel comfortable with.

Almost two years later and I am very happy with the work. Faber CB installed two custom bathrooms in my basement as well as an egress window. I had specifics in mind for design and layout and Anders and his team worked with me to get the result that I wanted and to get it done the right way. After almost two years, I’ve had no issues with the work and am very pleased with the quality. The price was exactly as quoted with no cost escalation and was significantly more affordable than the other quotes I received for the same work.

Project in beginning phases but very, very satisfied thus far with Anders' superb, thoughtful and kind communication, in addition to the very highest quality craftsmanship and professionalism from Anders through everything we have seen thus far. Bravo! (Mid to late 2021 for possible completion, per Houzz's request)

Faber Custom Builders did an amazing job adding a sizable addition onto our house. Anders was professional and helpful throughout the whole process. We always felt that we could contact him with questions or concerns, and he addressed these in a timely fashion. We were very impressed with how hard his team worked to complete the project, and we have had many neighbors share the same. I would highly recommended this company.

We had an excellent experience with Faber Custom Builders. We wanted to tear down a deck and build a screened in porch with a pool house feel under the porch. They suggested we hire an architect for ideas and sketches and we were thrilled with the person they suggested. The craftsmanship of the work done is outstanding as is the quality of the crew. Communication throughout the entire process was top notch and we were always in the loop of issues that came up or changes that needed to be made. I would work with Anders and his team without hesitation.

Anders is great to work with. Very prompt, courteous, and provided a lot of innovative ideas around our project. He was very helpful in making cost effective suggestions and finding ways to structure the project to meet our needs. Anders communicates very well and listened carefully to our needs. He came up with things we did not consider or think about which were very helpful. We would definitely work with Anders again and recommend him to anyone planning a building or remodeling project.

I'm very happy with the bathroom Faber Custom Builders designed and built for me. Anders Hurd is a hands on contractor and provided constant oversight of the work performance.

We hired Faber Custom Builders to update our kitchen with countertops, flooring and painting of the cabinets. We are extremely pleased with the outcome. We found Anders Hurd (owner) to be personally involved and attentive to our desires. Definitely would recommend and/or hire Faber Custom Builders and again.

I am the owner of the outdoor deck and swimming pool project listed as priced 750.000 to 1.000.000. I want to say the price with pictures may be misleading. Faber Custom builders did only the deck and outdoor klitchen area. The swimming Pool was done by Sylvain Pools. The cost of the deck and outdoor kitchen project was about 150,000 and it took them over 10 months to finish (some thing are still pending since June 2015, it is May 2016). I wish I was asked permission to publish pictures of my home. Overall happy with the results but very pricy and taking too long to finish with the part of the plan we requested

Faber Custom Builders (Anders) buried two gutter drains and repaired our deck that was sagging on one corner. The estimate was very competitive, the leaders and crew were very respectful of our property and our time. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing outside work. I have not used them for inside work.

Anders did a fantastic job putting in our solid wood floors! He arrived promptly every day, was friendly and courteous, handled unexpected issues professionally, and made our house look beautiful! Months later and we are still pleased with how nice it looks! We are very grateful!
