Mike and Judi are an amazing team, and we feel so lucky that we found them to do our home addition. Mike was on site throughout the whole project, and pretty much became part of the family by the end, and Judi was not only super organized and kept everything running smoothly, but also very patient and kind as I vacillated between paint color choices or stressed over tiles. Both Mike and Judi were extremely thoughtful about our family's needs throughout the process, doing their best to minimize disruption for our children, and they made the process as smooth as they could for all of us. We had never done a big construction project before, and they both were very organized and professional, and were there to help us through every step, even before they were officially working at our property. And we absolutely love the end result! The quality of the work is wonderful, and we were impressed by every team that worked on the house. We had some complicated elements to incorporate, and Mike and his team handled everything with an attention to detail and thoughtfulness that made it all came together beautifully. Thank you Mike and Judi for an amazing job on our kitchen expansion and remodeling. Looking back, my wife and I were really dreading construction again - of the constant intrusion, of not having a kitchen, and we were especially nervous about taking down two structural walls that supported a bedroom above. Although our project was challenging, Mike and his team of professionals handled every detail with ease. Mike was on site to supervise from day one until the finish, and made sure his team was sensitive to keeping our house as livable as possible. He used zip walls to isolate the construction area, and kept us abreast of progress each day. While Mike was on site to make sure every detail was completed to the highest standard, Judi coordinated the timely delivery of materials and even negotiated builder pricing whenever possible. Any questions were always answered the same day, and thanks to a cloud based project management app that they use, every measurement, email, bills and payments were organized in one place for quick and easy reference and access. Where do I honestly begin?... When my husband and I tell people Mike Feinberg is the best GC out there, we are not exaggerating! He and his wonderful wife Judi, run the business together and from the first time I called Judi to schedule an interview with Mike, until our very last payment was due - we had ZERO complaints. They are extremely professional, and at the same time very caring, and easy to work with. Whenever we had a question, Mike was always one step ahead of us with not only an answer but a solution and a plan. As my husband said, "you pay for what you get" with Mike, and what you get is perfection! With that said, my husband and I bought a historic home that was built in the 1700s. We fell in love with the charm but knew that we needed to create a more functional space for our family to grow in. With the help of our architect we designed a "barn" addition that would be added to the original home. This included a kitchen, laundry room, walk in pantry, great room, with a full basement beneath, and a master suite above the kitchen. It was clear to us that we needed a true professional that would be able to build this for us, without compromising the historic structure. Well, from the moment Mike walked into our house we knew that he had an appreciation for it just as we had when we first saw it. After we shared our design plans with him, he had great ideas on how to achieve our vision. He and Judi did so much research and leg work for us before we even signed the contract with them! It was clear how dedicated they were, and for us there was no question that Fein Construction was the right choice. Mike hires only the best, and we honestly never had to worry. We lived out of our home during construction because we have two dogs and a toddler. It's not easy relocating but it's worth it! Now it seems that the time went by so fast. Mike never missed a deadline. All this talk about how projects take forever, and it's never done when they say it will be - well our response to that was, "not our contractor!" Not only did he meet every deadline, but he also creatively helped us cut costs, and stay within budget. Some time into the project, I decided to throw a surprise 40th wedding anniversary party for my parents, and because we had no where else to do it I figured we would just host it in our unfinished addition. I thought it would be as if we were having a real barn party. I didn't even think we would have electricity. "Rustic!" I thought. Well, not only DID we have electricity, but we had a full functioning and finished kitchen, all of our light fixtures were put in.... pretty much everything was complete! My parents and our guests couldn't believe we were so far along, and how beautiful it all was! I am still so appreciative of how hard Mike worked to have all of that done in time. It was a night my parents, and entire family, will never forget! This addition is more than we could have ever dreamed it to be! We now have this home that is so unique, and so well functioning. We find ourselves constantly wanting to host because we love it so much! When you walk into this space, the work truly speaks for itself. My husband and I were searching for a quality builder to tear down an existing home and build a new one. We contracted Fein Construction to build a custom home in Englewood Cliffs from ground up in October of 2011. Fein construction and its subcontractors were responsible for every phase of the home building. The project completed on time and within budget on Sep 15, 2012 I think we are probably the exception but we really found the journey into building our dream homes was really a enjoyable and stress-free experience. From the first time we met Mike and Judi Feinberg in the bidding process, we were impressed by their passion, dedication, and knowledge. And most important of all, we found that they are someone we can completely trust. And it is this mutual trust that allows us to manage such a large undertaking while having to raise two young children and working full time. There are times when we were not able to visit the construction site for several weeks due to work schedule but we felt completely comfortable because we knew Mike always strives to maintain the highest standard of workmanship and he would make decisions in our best interest even in our absence. Our neighbor even told us that he wish his builder would have been as dedicated and spent as much time as Mike has on the construction site watching every little detail. I have gotten to know Mike through golf where I can say he is both a gentleman and someone I have a lot of respect for. I hired Fein Construction to gut my entire home and build over 1100 sq ft to my home. At the time I had a time constraint as I had an infant and two kids who were going to school. Mike Feinberg and his team built my entire home in 4 months and did a great job. Most importantly he helped me stay within a reasonable budget by helping my wife and I pick product that would fit in our budget. Mike and his team built out our entire commercial music education, live venue and recording studio facility in Butler, New Jersey. His work has defined the look of our business to our many customers and I still, a couple years later, am complimented daily on the look, feel and quality of our physical location. The biggest indicator before working with Mike was his complete and detailed estimate. Comparatively, the other bidding GCs sent a page or two - with a big bottom summary total number.
