I highly recommend GloRem, LLC. Eugene and his crew remodeled our home’s entire basement. We started with an unfinished basement. Eugene and his team did an amazing job. From scratch, they completed lighting, put in a full bathroom, painted, installed carpet on stairs, created a half wall, put in beautiful vinyl flooring, installed new basement doors, created windowsills, installed sump pumps and water heater, electrical panels, etc. Through this entire process, Eugene AND his crew were highly professional, respectful, and VERY knowledgeable in what they were doing. From the get go, Eugene gave me a detailed estimate, which I appreciated. We sought quotes from 5 different companies, and we picked GloRem. GloRem seemed the most knowledgeable, and it was very clear that he had thought through all of the details of what we discussed regarding the scope of work. Other companies forgot to price out details. Eugene remembered to price out all of the details we discussed. He is detail oriented. Eugene worked with my husband and I and listened to our ideas. Eugene is highly communicative, and had excellent communication with my husband and I on a daily basis. We always knew that Eugene and his crew would be there each day, working. If we ever had a question, we would text or email Eugene, and he always texted or emailed right back (same day!!). Eugene and/or his crew were at our house each day, working. They really went the extra mile for us. For the heavy items that we ordered for our full bathroom, Eugene and his crew drove to Lowes to pick these up for us, and brought them back to our house. He made the process of finishing our basement stress-free, and we really trusted Eugene and his expertise. Eugene handled pulling all of the permits, arranged for all of the inspections with Howard County (we passed all inspections the first time around), and kept us informed of progress. Eugene did our entire job in 2 months, and the project did NOT drag out. Eugene’s electricians and plumbers were reliable, professional, and did an amazing job. Eugene would check daily and weekly on all of the details. When our basement was finished, the paint job on the walls was flawless. Multiple coats. Beautiful floors. Outstanding layout. Excellent workmanship. Amazing attention to detail. I am taking the time to write this review in appreciation for the work that Eugene did for my husband and I. We would highly recommend GloRem to anyone considering a basement remodel or for any other large construction project. We would absolutely hire GloRem and Eugene, again.

Eugene was extremely responsive and helpful as we went through the planning for the work. I’ve done some light renovations myself but never hired a company and he walked us through everything. We had ceilings, walls, and floors done in our basement, along with some plumbing changes. The end product was amazing! Never could have done it myself to that standard. And at a great value, we’ll definitely be able to get more out of the sale than what we spent. But now after the upgrade we want to stay a bit longer! Already planning our next projects with GloRem.

We were very pleased with GloRem. We turned part of our unfinished basement into a bedroom with a sliding door closet. In addition, they installed lighting outside of the bedroom in the finished area, installed two bathroom fans, and installed new smoke detectors thoughout the house. GloRem's work was excellent and the crew were courteous. In addition, Eugene was very quick to respond to any questions we asked him. GloRem came in on schedule and on budget - what more can a homeowner ask! In short, they met all our expectations and more.

What a serendipitous decision that became. Eugene and his workmen, from tile experts to framers to electricians to plumbers to painters were true artisans, and Eugene was involved every step of the way. He made sure there was a minimum of construction dust and unnecessary clutter. His insistence on expert execution of every task was consistent with what I discovered to be his perfectionist personality trait. After enjoying his exceptional work on my bathrooms for a decade, it became time to both renovate my basement and add a bath. I was delighted to discover that Eugene and his company had become a premier basement remodeling company. After asking him to see my basement and give me a bid, his pricing was still, despite his considerable success, competitive. I was delighted to discover that, a decade later, not only was his work ethic unchanged, but, in addition, Eugene has become a sophisticated version of his enthusiastic and talented younger self. His bid was detailed and easily understood with each expense described. His work, on my second encounter with him, was just as enjoyable as my first…all work was completed ahead of schedule in impeccable fashion. We hired Eugene and his team after obtaining bids from him and 2 other remodeling companies to finish our basement. His quote was the most reasonable and was within our budget. Eugene is super knowledgeable, friendly, very professional and patient! He came to our home promptly, made measurements and a few days later presented us with a 3 dimensional model of our vision for the basement along with a complete breakdown of the work to be done with the cost. He stayed within his timeline of 12 weeks to complete the work which involved installing a full bathroom, plumbing, flooring, drywall, painting, lighting, wet bar, entertainment center, laundry, painting, stairwell, cabinets, and unexpected electrical and plumbing work that was required to pass inspections. Eugene and the GloRem team finished my 1100 square foot basement. They were the best estimate between three other contractors but more importantly, Eugene was professional, on time and reliable. Eugene from Glorem LLC was fantastic to work with. His team completed our basement on time and within budget without any major issues. They went above and beyond to get our basement exactly the way we wanted, and we could not be happier. The finished basement has given us an extra 1300 sq ft of comfortable and livable space. The one area we were concerned about was having a bedroom in the basement without a way to exit from the basement. Eugene made this easy by installing a basement egress window just in case someone had to get out of the basement, and we could also claim that now as an additional bedroom if we ever sell the home. Each of the crew members that came into the house were kind and respectful of our home which made for a much less stressful renovation project. Eugene kept us informed throughout the whole project. We had a complicated situation with rerouting the plumbing but again his highly skilled crew did an amazing job. I have already recommended Glorem to friends that are having their basement remodeled. They are extremely hard working and will do whatever it takes to make sure you are happy with the completed project.

Eugene and his team did a fantastic job finishing our basement! The quality of their work was top notch, and their prices were reasonable compared to other contractors. They were extremely responsive throughout the entire process with any changes we requested or questions we had. The work was completed on time, and included a beautiful half bath and wall-mounted desk. They even did other small favors around our house that were outside of the finished basement, which was very convenient for us. Despite challenges presented by working through the middle of a pandemic, this did not affect their schedule at all, and we came in right at our budget. We cannot recommend Glorem enough, and would absolutely use them for any future remodeling projects!

Plubming and electrical work passed on the first inspection. Eugene did an outstanding job helping me design my wet bar. He did a great job managing the entire project. We recently had GloRem, LLC complete a total remodel of our basement. It is a small 1950s rancher with lots of construction challenges. The area was used for 30 years as a daycare. Needless to say, it took a lot of abuse. Little or no upgrades had been done during that time. When Eugene walked through with me and I explained our needs for the future he was confident that he could give us what we wanted. From concept to design, he made it worry free. He was responsive to all questions, patient with my changes, and supportive in my decisions. The day our project was to begin, the COVID-19 shutdowns began. This added a new set of burdensome regulations for Eugene and the crews to work around. They were always conscious of social distancing guidelines and careful not to put us at any risk. Every day they showed up on time and often stayed late to get work done. We added a full bath, a bedroom with an egress window, storage space, and reworked the entryway. I have used many contractors over the years and GloRem is the most conscientious, hardworking group of craftsmen I have ever dealt with. Their attention to detail and building exactly what we wanted is unmatched. They take great pride in their work. I could never have imagined how well this project could turn out. It’s amazing what they accomplished! I highly recommend this company! I show off my new living space whenever possible and everyone is impressed.

Eugene and GloRem finished our basement (including a full bath and wetbar, and 6 other rooms) for us and it was an excellent experience. The estimate process was very efficient and straightforward, and we found the pricing to be fair. Eugene even has a showroom where you can see samples and visualize things like flooring, countertop, and cabinetry options. We had a general idea of our desired layout and Eugene was very helpful in making suggestions and adjustments that enhanced the final floor-plan and made it more functional. He also has design software that is very useful. There were some added complexities with our project such as creating an egress window which required expanding the existing window opening in our stone house. Prior to Eugene starting the basement project, we had separately hired another company to do some unrelated HVAC repairs to our ductwork to address some issues in the first floor of our rancher – this required coordination with Eugene as much of this HVAC work by the other company was being performed in the basement before the new walls and ceiling were put in and all went smoothly. The quality of the work and attention to detail were excellent as well and all the members of Eugene’s team are friendly and a pleasure to work with. The work is done in a very organized way and the team is very good about keeping things tidy and cleaning up at the end of the day. Eugene is very responsive – everyone worked tirelessly and long days to complete our project within the expected time-frame and Eugene was on-site much of the time to answer our questions and supervise the project. Absolutely GLOWING FOR GLOREM!!! Glorem is hands down the BEST contractor we have ever had the pleasure of working with! Eugene, Victor and the entire crew were amazing to work with and beyond professional. Our finished basement was flooded and Glorem came in and worked absolute magic to complete a major renovation. They redesigned the layout by creating a storage area, closet, pantry, moved a bathroom on the other side of the room, created a large theater area and not to mention an awesome kitchenette. They refinished the staircase and created a storage area underneath which they finished off with trim and flooring! Honestly, you will not get a more respectful and hard working crew in your home. Eugene was always available and completely responsive to any needs we had and was on site daily to over see the project. He made suggestions that really made the space exceptional and his attention to detail and quality not anything like we have seen in other contractors. It did not go unnoticed that they cleaned up daily when their work was done and showed great respect for our home. Victor's craftsmanship was exceptional, which we have found is a rarity these days. We could not be more satisfied with our new basement. Eugene, Viktor, and the rest of the staff were professional and extremely hard working. Any time workers finished up for the day, they always made sure to clean the site before leaving. Our project was completed on time and within our modest budget. We found our experience with GloRem to be wonderful. The initial meeting and walk through with Eugene was informative and thorough. We did our due diligence and collected a few estimates. Even though we wound up having them start the project several months after we originally planned, the updated quote GloRem provided was nearly the same, and they were eager to start. GloRem laid out an estimated time frame and budget, and nailed them both. At no point in time did we feel pressured to upgrade, change, spend extra money, or did they require extra time, during our project. The level of professionalism shown by GloRem, from both Eugene and Viktor, was A+. From day one. The level of confidence in the local area building codes (we are located in Carroll County) and what adjustments might need to be made (e.g., bulkhead placed here, water lines can go there, etc.,) was very reassuring. When we built our home, the builder offered finished basement options, and they were nice and definitely a little less costly, due to obvious overhead benefits the builder had such as parts and materials being ordered in bulk and licenses being pulled and so forth. However, after having seen some of our neighbor’s basements, and then experiencing our custom made finished basement, it was money well spent! The space feels much more form fitting to our family’s needs, rather than just a generic cookie cutter space. (To that point, GloRem provided custom crafted real wood shelves! Hand cut and hand crafted just for our space.) You will find that the level of communication and professionalism shown to be of a first class level. The cost estimates and time estimates are very accurate, and GloRem will explain to you which estimates are conservative and which may vary some. I would highly recommend GloRem to anyone interested in home remodeling or basement finishing needs.

We had a great experience having our basement built by Eugene, Viktor and team.They were very professional and responsive about the design options and any changes we have requested. They even obliged our design change request after the project has started. The project stayed closed to the initial estimate and finished within the estimated time frame. Overall we are very satisfied with their work and we would definitely consider them for future projects.

My wife and I were looking to finish our basement, which is almost 2,000 square feet, and we consulted with 5 different contractors. After a month of interviewing all the contractors, we selected Eugene's company, Glorem LLC. His prices were competitive, especially compared to local (Howard County-based) contractors, and he was the only contractor that was able to offer us on-the-spot pricing, whereas every other contractor took a week or more to get back to us on pricing. Further, when we received pricing from other contractors, the other contractors seemed to have more variables whereas with Eugene, the core pricing of the basement was more clear - we understood that pricing would change based upon what custom items we'd select later, but the base pricing was both clear and competitive. One of the main reasons we went with Eugene is that we believed we could trust him to deliver quality work in a timely fashion. After a lot of researching of on-line reviews, the vast majority of reviews (google, Angies List, houzz, etc..) on Eugene/ Glorem were very positive. When we first met Eugene, he didn't even bring up any of his positive online reviews, but he happily offered up referrals and showed many photos from his happy customer's projects- he even offered us to visit some of his recent projects that he finished (as compared with a couple of Howard County-based contractors we were turned off by, one had very few photos of their work, one didn’t offer any referrals, another contractor was pushy as he kept insisting on showing us photos of a $200k basement that he finished in HoCo even after we told him a couple of times that was way out of our budget. Another reason why we chose Eugene was because he didn't come off as a typical salesperson, but instead, Eugene came off as being someone we felt we could immediately trust, someone who was humble, yet confident of his work, someone who let his work speak for himself, and finally someone who we felt wouldn't nickel and dime us for every little change like some of the other contractors that we received pricing from. Although we never ended up taking Eugene up on his offers to visit some of his previous client's basements, the fact that he offered, to us, showed that he could back-up his work and that he had happy customers who would want to help him show their basements because he did such a great job for them-- and I'll talk more about this later as I became one of those happy customers. Another main reason why we chose Eugene/ Glorem was because he had the best ideas compared to the other contractors on helping us design the basement we envisioned. For instance, we had two ugly basement foundation poles in an area where the bathroom had to be built (underground pipes/exhaust fans were located in this particular area), but the tricky part was that she also wanted two doors for the basement bathroom in this relatively tight space, one door for the adjacent bedroom and one bathroom door; however, these two foundation poles next to the rooms were right in the middle of the rooms and were an eyesore based upon their location. Some contractors said there was no space to put two doors there, or they drew up plans that didn't look right on paper, but Eugene was the only contractor that drew a floor plan that cleverly integrated the two foundation poles so that they'd be hidden behind the bathroom/bedroom/ utility walls and built the two entry doors (to bathroom and bedroom) next to each other, giving us that second bathroom door that my wife wanted- no other contractor had the vision that Eugene had; besides the trust factor, he was the best designer (I’d even say architect) we met out of all the contractors. He also had the vision to design our bar area in a location we didn't at first even consider, but after explaining how it would look better and how that location would also save money on plumbing to for the sink we wanted to have, we took his advice and we couldn't be happier with the outcome- he also recommended a tray ceiling for the bar area and barn doors for a refrigerator closet- all of which we didn’t even think about, and we were very happy with the final results. Our basement is relatively large, but from the onset, he gave us a timeline (less than 3-months) that he felt very comfortable sticking to, and his company uses an on-line service called BUILDERTREND which is transparent on when things (e.g. framing, plumbing, painting, etc..) will be scheduled, shows payment schedule, and includes receipts for custom materials (e.g. faucets, vanity, etc..). He only took payments when certain milestones were completed from the contract. During the build, both Eugene and his Project Manager, Viktor, stayed on top of their employees, not that any supervision was needed, and was in constant touch with us during the whole build and was very responsive to anything we brought up. Towards the end of the build, and this was another thing that distinguished his company from other contractors was that Eugene/ GloRem also had their own nice, clean design center in Baltimore County where we visited to decide on which flooring/ cabinets/ counters to choose from- he had a good amount of choices to choose from so that we could choose what would work for our budget. Other builders said that they’d have to send us to their supplier’s showrooms and didn’t appear to have as many options. In terms of flexibility, if you like something that Eugene didn’t have, he’d go out and get what you wanted- this was another benefit of working with Eugene. I can very confidently say that everyone on his team, from the electrician, carpenter, plumbers, painters, flooring, and framers were top notch! Not only was their work of very high quality, but they finished on schedule and were respectful of our home- Eugene even offered a Porta Potty, something we didn't ask for but appreciated nonetheless. Also, during our build, when we decided to make an adjustment here and there (e.g. wanted ceiling framing built a little wider in one section), Eugene and his team were understanding and quick to kindly make the change for us. In particular, the electricians, plumber, and painters were excellent- Eugene gives you the flexibility to meet with the contractors to let them know what you want, where you want things, and if you decide to make a small change, provided it's not major, then he also won't try to nickel and dime you as I mentioned before for very minor changes. For instance, we had wanted an extra LED lights for our basement closet more than what we originally agreed to on the contract, but Eugene didn't charge us for that, and that was something we appreciated because many other contractors would try to maximize their profits. At the end, our finished basement is beautiful and of very high quality. We have a bar area, one additional bedroom, a gym room, storage spaces, and a huge family room. We ended up adding some additional upgraded items like wooden floors vs PVC-based floors and crown molding/ custom trim to stairwell and bathroom. When the project was nearly completed, we didn't mind going over the budget a little at the end (e.g. adding trim, addtl shelving) because the workmanship was so good, pricing was reasonable, and since the we had a great experience with GloRem. Going back to the topic of referrals and to summarize the work that his company does, at the end of our recently completed projected, we happily offered to Eugene that we'd also be one of his happy customers and that he could use us as a referral for him and his company (we recently showed our basement to one of his prospective Ellicott City clients last week). We don't think we could've had a better outcome/ experience- his prices were reasonable, he finished on time, communicated well with us, he had the best design ideas, and his work is top quality. Thanks to Euegene/GloRem, our basement shows very well, and we think it was a great investment for our family. As a happy customer, I've already highly recommended him to my friends and neighbors.

We could not have been happier with the results of the basement remodel by GloRem. What sold us on GloRem was the layout that Eugene created and the detailed quote he provided. We knew exactly what we were getting and what the costs would be if we decided to make changes during the construction. The project included an full bath, large open area for the kids to play in, built in shelves, and a theater room with a custom bar and platform. Communication between Eugene, the owner, and Victor the project manager, was great throughout the project. The project was completed on schedule, which included some last minute changes and even the birth of the painter's first baby. Our kids now have an big open area to play in and dad has quite the man cave.

GloRem remodeled our basement. They were very professional and listened to our concerns. The basement looks fantastic. I think the pricing was very fair. This was an older basement and duct work had to be moved around. They took care of problems that cropped up with a remodel of this type and handled them expertly. I would recommend GloRem highly and without reservation.

GloRem was the easy choice for us. They were responsive and professional from start to finish. They were the only company to offer us a detailed estimate so we could understand the price and make adjustments based on budgets. Others just gave a number and when questioned adjusted numbers with no clear rationale or detail. MOST importantly, the job was done well and on time. Actually, it was done in half the time stated on the contract (one week for basement remodel). We have other projects in mind for our house. Fortunately, we’ll only have to call one company - GloRem - for those projects.

Cannot recommend highly enough. 6 stars! We had our whole basement finished- a bathroom, office, workout space, TV room and large common area. Eugene and his team were quick and efficient. We hardly noticed them working and if we had any questions Eugene would answer e-mails quickly and even come back in the evening to meet us. They added trim, stained hand rails and other finishing touches we never would have thought of. Great experience and great price.

I cannot recommend Glorem highly enough. After what was a catastrophic flood in our basement, and a host of contractors offering to provide us with very little in return for a whole lot of money- Glorem was a blessing. Eugene understood the difficult and quite protracted problems we were dealing with. Before the rebuild could begin we had to finish tearing down what was left, and then go through the process of asbestos mitigation and the disruptive installation of a French drain system to prevent another flood from happening. Eugene understood the steps and the time it would take to complete them. He was completely fair in his pricing, and never blinked at the hurdles imposed by our overreaching mortgage company. His team was professional, personable, and thorough. They talked us through everything that was going to happen. They also clearly spelled out the time frame, the payment schedule, and then worked with us when unexpected course corrections happened. The end result was phenomenal- beyond what we could have envisioned on the day of the flood. Eugene and Glorem restored our faith in good people doing honest, quality work. Pride of workmanship is the hallmark of this team. I would not hesitate to hire them again if I needed work done on my home.

We hired GloRem to renovate our master bathroom. I consider myself lucky to have found such a great contractor. The owner came out with a few very good ideas, he helped me making some tough decisions. The two people that worked for three weeks on this project were polite, punctual, covered the wood floor and the marble floor at the entrance. Their workmanship was superior and we worked together very well. The owner of the company was always available when I needed him. One rarely finds such a good company for renovation. Very professional and the price was reasonable. The work was finished in the very same day as promised in the contract. I love my bathroom, it is beautiful.

We hired Glorem LLC to finish out basement which included a playroom, exercise room, storage area, kitchenette and living area of 1500 sq. ft. Eugene and his company were awesome to work with. We had gotten a couple different quotes from four other different companies but Glorem’s was the most reasonable and detailed. The quote Eugene provided us with was a line item breakdown of everything included in the project, which I greatly appreciated it. Eugene and his team were very good at communicating and responding via texts/calls/emails. There were very few setbacks and his team were courteous and worked late evenings and weekends and cleaned up every day. We worked with Glorem on a total basement finishing project and Eugene and his crew were great! During the project,Eugene returned all of my emails and or phone calls within a few hours and was always available to answer questions or help resolve any issues that arose. The overall experience we had in dealing with this company was exceptional. We knew right from the start they were professional and that we were going to end up with a great space. The communication was clear from day one and they knew exactly what we wanted and how we wanted it to look along with the suggestions that they made for us. There was no disruption to our daily functions in the other part of the house; however, when it came to doing the plumbing, they were sure to give a heads up in regards to losing water pressure. We had a great experience working with Eugene and his associates. The finished work is beautiful - very clean and professional workmanship and great space that our family will enjoy using. Eugene helped us plan the design of the unfinished basement and provided a line-item estimate for the work to be done. He understood well what we needed and what could be done in the space. Once work began, it proceeded along very smoothly with various sub-contractors coming in to do different components of the job. Eugene was extremely communicative and responsive throughout the process. He seems to have a great relationship with his sub-contractors, and he stayed apprised of the progress and came to visit the site on a regular basis, including doing parts of the job himself. For our job, a significant part of the labor cost and time was a fully tiled floor throughout the basement (except storage areas.) Labor for the tile was included in the estimate, but we purchased the tile materials. The tile work took a long time relative to the other aspects of the job, but the workmanship is excellent and worth the time and money involved. Overall, there was hardly a snag in the whole process. Any minor issues were easy to work through. We couldn't have asked for better service and quality. We have been using the finished space for about one month now, and we are thoroughly pleased with the outcome. I would definitely use GloRem again, and I would highly recommend it.

We cannot say enough good things about working with Glorem on the complete remodel of our 1980’s 1500 sqft. townhome in Baltimore City in 2016. We had purchased a severely distressed property that Eugene and his team helped transform into a lovely home. Previously, we have completed 3 substantial renovations on other homes, so we have quite a bit of experience working with contractors and remodeling companies. This was the first project we had worked with Glorem on, and the quality of work, communication, and timeliness of Glorem surpasses every past experience we’ve had with other contractors. From the beginning, Eugene was very responsive to our calls & emails and thorough in his consultation and contract. We really appreciated how the contract was written to include each task he would complete so we truly understood and were all in agreement when he would receive payment based on completed tasks. Eugene has a good eye for design and also made suggestions to improve our proposal (to lower cost or increase our return for sale). During the work, Eugene would keep us informed with frequent updates, texts and pictures of the work, as we did not live in the property and were living over 40 miles away. As to be expected with any massive renovation, we had a very few “unexpected” items that came up during the work and Eugene was quick to inform us and provide a reasonable solution so the project could move forward. Living at a distance, we could only visit the property weekly and were always pleased with the tidiness of the worksite that Glorem kept. Most important to us, was the quality of work. As we were planning to sell the home after the renovation, it was critical to us that the project be done “right” to ensure a good quality product for the buyer and that there would be no concerns during the home inspection. From the beginning, we could tell that Eugene too, was passionate about doing things “right” and not taking shortcuts. The Glorem team had a great attention to detail and this was shown in the fine details of any project (cleanliness, drywall mud work, grouting, trim installation, as examples). Also, we never felt like we had to “chase” Eugene down as we had to do with other contractors to get the work done. Eugene and his crew worked every day and we didn’t have to fight for attention with other projects he was completing. Overall, we were thrilled with the work done by Glorem and were able to sell our home for our desired price. We will 100% be working with Glorem on our next renovation. Glorem: these guys are excellent! I was shopping around for a contractor for a while to finish my basement. My basement is 800 sq feet and half of it had already been finished by the builders. I only needed to finish a fitness room and an office. Big companies with huge overhead rejected my project right away explaining that it’s too small for them to even bother and they won’t take anything for less than $30K. Finally, I’ve carefully selected 5 contractors out of million smaller ones to order estimates from. However, I’ve received only 4 estimates. I had to reject 2 of them due to unreasonable prices and not enough details in the estimates (to make sure that everything is going to be completed as ordered) and selected the one from Glorem to proceed. The other estimate I did not go ahead with looked very professional (was printed out from some kind of a fancy estimate software) but the guy I’ve spoken with kept arguing with me about how I wanted things done not even giving me a good answer on - why it should be done differently (other than what I suspected was merely easier for them to do). Glorem did not give me the lowest price, but it was quite reasonable and I felt that they really wanted to make me happy with everything I’ve asked for. To make the long story short: everything is completed on-time, the final price did not move up even for a penny, I grade the quality at 9 out of 10 (with some really insignificant imperfections of ceiling and wall flatness in some places, which I have not noticed right away and which can be seen only at a certain angle and under a certain lighting conditions). Glorem soundproofed the walls and ceilings to a great degree of silence, installed a steam shower and a sauna, did not bother me with anything at all during the process, were very responsive to inevitable on-going additional requests and are really nice to deal with. I’ve dealt with contractors many times before in my life and found this encounter to be the most painless and pleasant experience! I would recommend them to anyone!

We were looking to finish our basement and didn't have any solid ideas of what kind of layout we wanted. I met with 5 different companies and got a variety of ideas and just 3 quotes. GloRem was the lowest price quote for a layout that I liked best, so was an easy decision since we'd seen such good reviews about them. The final price of the project wound up being more than the quote because we opted for high-end bathroom fixtures and we needed to add an egress window. Eugene was very gracious in reducing the cost of an egress window, since it was not in the original plan. This is the second major renovation I've done, and was a very different experience than the first. For one thing, we were given complete freedom to choose the bathroom tile, vanity, toilet, and everything else wherever we wanted. This was great, but made it very hard for us to make timely decisions. We were so late choosing the bathroom vanity that it delayed the end of the project by 4 weeks. But Eugene was always very patient with us and had no problem waiting until it came in. When we signed the contract, we were given a choice of (1) wait to start the project until they could focus on us and do it quicker or (2) start the project sooner, work when they have time, and eventually end sooner than option 1. We went with option 2, since we don't really use the basement and didn't expect much disruption. But I think maybe option 1 would've been better because we would've had a better idea of when each decision was expected. As it was, we often heard from Eugene just 3 or 4 days before they needed a decision from us (like floors or paint color). We were also surprised by the hours spent here in the evenings and weekends (my first project was all done 9-5 Mon-Fri). But they changed their plans without complaint the one time I requested that they not come on a Saturday. This was a long and time-consuming process for us, but we are absolutely thrilled with the end result. Everyone who worked on our basement was friendly, professional, and did amazing work. I can't think of anything I want different than what I have. Eugene was very easy to reach with random questions throughout the project. I have his number stored in my cell and will probably keep it there for my next project.

Let me start by saying, that I am very hesitant when it comes to hiring contractors. I have experienced several who I know overcharge and do poor work that takes twice as long. A friend of mine, who interviewed 12 different companies (yes, 12) to finish her basement ultimately hired GloRem LLC. She had such a fantastic experience, that she recommended them to me for our basement project. I called, and Eugene (the owner) came the next day to give us an estimate. From the start, I could tell that he was kind, professional, experienced, and knowledgeable. His quote came in on the lower end of several additional quotes, but that is not the only reason we went with GloRem. It was Eugene's personality, professionalism, and overall character that ultimately cemented our decision to hire him. Early into the project, my husband and I realized we were in a bit over our heads from a design standpoint, so we brought in a decorator named Marilyn from Marilyn Greene Interiors. She made quite a few changes to the original design, and it added additional work for Eugene after he had already started. He handled each addition without complaint or hesitation. I teased him that his motto should be "of course I can do that" because this was his answer every time I asked him for something more. His work and craftsmanship are beyond compare and many of the additions were custom or hand-made by him. All of the workers that came into our house were professional and courteous, and most of the time we didn't even know they were there! My basement turned out beautifully and was done on time (another reason why GloRem is the best). I am looking forward to working with GloRem exclusively on further projects for our house. The talented crew of GloRem LLC is tops of my favorite contractors. We have hired them for 3 projects and the results were stunning each time. They completed a kitchen remodel in 2013, and last year a full basement remodel, and then a few months later a total remodel and tub to shower conversion of our main bath, including removal of an extinct chimney to enlarge the shower space. From demo, to framing, drywall, finishing, plumbing, electrical and lighting to flooring and painting every job was completed beautifully. They are thorough, a pleasure to have in the house, and leave only with the new project in place with no mess. They are true to estimate, and schedule and at the same time flexible. They are super and can do it all! Eugene the owner has an eye for beauty and a talent to find and keep a skilled and personable crew to make the project, whatever it is, go smoothly.
