We are "Basement in Scotch Plains" with a stage/band gear and 3 TVs for Football Sunday. We've worked with a range of contractors in the past from the super high end here in SP/Westfield to do our bathroom as well as some of the no-name contractors to do things like our backyard pavers/planting and painting inside our house. ANDY IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST. He takes so much pride in his work, the final product and the customer's overall happiness. With all of the gear for the band/stage, we had MANY last minute changes to placement of outlets, wiring, mounting speakers, etc. He said "no problem" to everything. Andy wouldn't even let me hang my TVs by myself. After a couple of hours together of measuring, drilling, mounting etc, we had the 3 TVs up and connected (which was not in our contract). I really believe he didn't want them to be the thing that made the basement not ... perfect. If I had to give a critique compared to some of the super high-end places here locally, we had to pick out all of our materials separately. This at the beginning seemed like a drag, but in the end made us even happier in the end than we were with our previous experiences with other contractors. Andy is honest, a pleasure to work with, fun to communicate with and polite with the rest of the family. I cannot say enough about my experience with Andy Golec and only hesitate putting this online knowing that it will limit his availability for us in the future. Again, feel free to reach out - people that do this kind of work deserve to have raving fans speaking about the work they do.

Andy does great work, communicates well, is timely and efficient. I would highly recommend. My kitchen looks amazing and he help guide me through the whole process.

Andy just completed our basement renovation and he did an excellent job! This is the second time we've used him for a big project and he is the only contractor we will use moving forward. He is responsive, professional and runs a home renovation like a commercial project.

Andy did a great job on a medium size guest bathroom. Full gut and redo. He was prompt and on time and finished within he expected timeframe. He listens to the customer if something needed adjustment. Recommended.

Andy is a true professional! Pays attention to detail, courteous, informative, and RELIABLE! He is the first Contractor I have met that I can truly say that about. Andy was terrific in our bathroom. He has exceptional attention to detail, that comes across effortless. He just knows what the right way is to do something, and doesn't waste time debating/asking.. he just knows. He is incredibly transparent in his pricing which makes everything clear.. He is always busy, and usually requires a 2-3 month wait (minimum), but surprisingly even with the far-out start date, he always starts on time. I used Andy for our bathroom, and finishing our basement. Planning on many more projects!

Andy is the best. We have used him for our basement/kitchen/powder room remodel and more. He is responsive, knowledgeable, and meticulous. We have recommended to may friends over the years and will continue to do so without hesitation.

There are not enough compliments to praise Andy! Andy came highly recommended by our neighbors and he far surpassed their hype. He is extremely hard working, with many years experience which shows in his craftsmanship and troubleshooting skills (which all contractors must have!). He is very knowledgeable in all areas...plumbing, electricity, structural, flooring, floor/window/closet creation, and literally worked on our home from top to bottom. He truly loves what he does and brings enthusiasm to his workspace everyday. He is not only an exceptional contractor, he is a wonderful person with a positive attitude; even when confronting challenges during a project, which are inevitable! He worked in our home for 5 months, during the Covid lockdown, with our 3 young children all home virtual schooling. He took all these challenges in stride, always maintaining safety precautions, being mindful of their workspaces; and always greeting them with smiles and jokes. Our kids always looked forward to seeing Mr. Andy, and he somehow effortlessly worked around them without skipping a beat. We highly recommend Mr. Andy!

Andy completely transformed our primary bathroom earlier this year! He was great to work with - after our initial consultation, his estimate came quickly. He provided a clear material list, and kept in contact between the time we signed a contract and when he said he could start. He started the day he said he would, and came every day, early in the morning, ready to work. The bathroom is absolutely stunning, the work was high quality and I look forward to having him do more projects for us!

Andy recently finished our kitchen remodel project and it turned out beautifully. This is the 3rd project Andy has done for us including finishing our basement and remodeling our master bath and bedroom. Andy’s work ethic is impeccable. He arrives on time 6 days a week and has always completed our projects on schedule. We really enjoy working with Andy.

Andy just finished a large project in our room transforming a Jack & Jill bathroom into a proper master, adding a power room, and 2 closets. As always Andy is a pleasure to have in my home. He arrives every day at 6:45 am until the project is finished. He goes out of his way to be helpful. I have recommended Andy to friends and neighbors and I’m already planning our next project.

We can always count on Andy to do an amazing job, finish the job quickly and stick to the budget. He recently finished renovating our sunroom and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Andy came into a huge job. Our basement was old and literally taken down to the studs. Andy added a bedroom with closet, made a half bath to a full bath, updated our laundry room, updated an old brick fireplace. His attention to detail is amazing. He’s easy to work with. Andy was great to work with. He was at my home every day until the project was complete. He worked incredibly cleanly and efficiently. There aren't enough great words I could say about Andy!! He truly is everything you could ask for in a contractor and more!! So reliable that you could set a clock by him, one of the hardest working persons that I have ever seen, smart and super organized and his prices are so reasonable! Andy renovated our master bath (fall 2017). Andy was extremely reliable. He started when he told us. He was on the job every day on time (if not early) until the job was done. He kept us in the loop as to what his plans were for the day, any issues which came up, and always gave us an idea what was planned for the next day before he left. He is fast and very hard working - we called him the energizer bunny, he was always moving - and the job was competed within a week. We love our new bathroom! We highly recommend Andy for a quality job at an affordable price.

Andy is AMAZING! We honestly have never had such a hard-working, reliable, trustworthy, and skilled contractor work on our property. Our basement was in terrible shape, we couldn't use it and we hated being in it. Andy re-did our basement and turned it into a beautiful, warm, and cozy space that we now love to be in. He put in a new bathroom with shower and a guest room. Andy has also put in recess lighting in our family room and just put a new faucet in our bathroom. Andy is the best! He has a great work ethic and does a super job in a timely fashion. He is very reliable, prompt, honest, and easy to work with. Andy is very personable and truly cares about his customers. Andy finished our basement in 2013. What was a dark, dirty cellar, is now a great living space that our family loves to enjoy. Andy completed the job in a timely manner and at a very reasonable price. He is meticulous, neat, and clean. Excellent value and experience. Andy did an extensive basement renovation for us on our 115-year old home, from digging out the floor and adding french drains and sump pumps to a fully finishing the space including a new kitchenette, full bath, wet bar, recreation area and designer upgrades. He showed up everyday without fail, he worked from our contract--- there were no surprises in what he charged---and he he finished on schedule. We are thrilled with the high level of service and quality that Andy provided as well as the fact that he is a nice guy and responsive. A friend passed his reference to me and I have happily passed on his reference to many friends.

Andy completely did my sunroom, tiles in the kitchen, put a patio in my backyard. He put new light fixtures and outlets in some of the rooms in my house and he recently put a new shower door and a fan in my bedroom bathroom . Andy is inexpensive reliable and does the job right . I highly recommend him.
