GreatLees Construction

In February 2025, I contracted Greatlees to construct a large, detached garage. During the initial planning phase, the team offered creative and practical design solutions that effectively maximized available space while adhering to township zoning restrictions. Based on discussions with Greatlees, the “guaranteed” completion date was May 15, 2025, with an estimated build time of four to five weeks. Demolition began in mid-April, and concrete placement was completed by May 14. However, actual construction of the garage structure did not commence until the end of May. By the close of June, after four weeks of construction, the building remained an incomplete shell with only the siding and roof installed, and little to no progress was evident. There was an extended period in late June/July, spanning three to four weeks, where no work was performed at all. Compounding the delays, the framing failed its initial building inspection with the county. Following a serious discussion with Greatlees in early July, some progress resumed, but work was sporadic, typically limited to two or three partial days per week, followed again by another week of inactivity at the end of July. Greatlees would not offer a projection on when the garage would be completed. By the end of July, it became clear that the project was significantly off track and unlikely to be completed in a timely or satisfactory manner. As a result, the contract was terminated. Upon review by a newly engaged contractor, numerous deficiencies were identified in the construction quality, with many components requiring repair or replacement/rebuild to meet acceptable standards.

I contracted Greatlees Construction Inc to replace the roof and gutters on my house. Eric and his site manager Andrew were informative, patient, and accommodating through every step of the process. Eric the owner always took it upon himself to communicate and update me personally which gave the experience a personal touch you wouldn’t get with most big box companies. I could always count own him to answer or address any concerns I had in a timely manner. The company is military owned which was important to me being a veteran myself. Their level of integrity and professionalism has made this positive experience. Thanks guys!
