Hamilton Construction was one of three builders that were recommended to me when I began searching for a local builder to build our home. After interviewing all three and talking to many references, Mr. Hamilton was by far the outstanding choice for me. If feel that my home was a unique challenge for any builder as it was a completely custom home inside and out. The home that I was building was a "new old home" of Creole design on pier and beam with a wraparound porch. Mr. Hamilton also worked well with my architect during the building project.. I had had previous experience in former smaller construction projects and experienced common problems associated with the builder and those who worked for them. I can truly say that Mr. Hamilton, his company, all his people working for him and all his sub-contractors were professional, competent and courteous from the laying of the foundation for the home to the finishing interior touches. We have been in our house for nine years and have not had any problems or issues. Our home continues to grow better with age!

I did my due diligence before contracting Hamilton Construction to build the house I've been designing since the age of 9 - my dream home. My husband and I interviewed 3 builders, talked to references and visited examples of their work. Although Hamilton came highly recommended and his finished products were proof of workmanship, Hugh was the only builder that showed respect for me and my design. Our 5000 sq. ft. home with an additional 2000 sq. ft. of porches was completed in 9 months - due in part to both good weather and that I was readily available at all times to answer questions from the crews doing the construction. After living in it for 6 years now we are more than pleased and would readily recommend Hamilton Construction to anyone wanting to build their dream house!

Hugh Hamilton Construction built our home in 2014/2015 and did a wonderful job. Hugh is very professional and certainly is involved with the entire building process. The work crews, office staff, and contractors were experienced and eager to please the customer. We highly recommend Hamilton Construction for the design and building of a home.

Hamilton uses several local and regional subcontractors for must of the work but oversees the job himself much of the time. He has chosen the subs from the general area within about 75 miles. They have worked on most of his jobs for longer than 5 years. The owner however can have input as to which sub that they prefer if there is a choice or they want a specific sub. Usually he works on a set management fee on a bid for the construction. The owner is informed if the bid is altered for more or less.
