Hebert Design Build did a major home remodeling for us including a deck, a full kitchen update (cabinets, reconfiguration. lighting, sink, etc), hardwoods, multiple bathrooms, and multiple door replacements over 9 months. Tim Hebert's communication, customer service, and craftsmanship were exceptional and we were extremely happy with the overall experience and project outcome. I would highly recommend Hebert Design Build to anyone that values a builder with integrity, attention to detail and a desire to delight the customer!

We had an amazing experience working with Tim and his competent team. They did a complete remodel of a house we bought in RI while living in Arizona. Never once were we concerned about the work from afar. They were great! The workmanship, professionalism and ease to work with made this project stress free for us. This was my first substantial renovation and as happy as I am to write that Mr. Hebert and his group did a nice job, as part of the learning curve on this, I came to appreciate that the outcome was in part related to our ability to work with the contractor as well as his ability to do the work. One thing I appreciated about Mr. Hebert was that he was patient and provided very reasonable guidance as my wife and I tried to figure out what we wanted. His preference is to work with higher end products as well and we elected to find our own way through the world of plumbing fixtures, tile, hardwood flooring and a few other choices in lieu of hiring a designer, with help when we needed it, which was often. This was a complicated project on a house in a historic district, with plans that needed to go through a historic commission. Not the least of the nice things was that the exterior matching went well, I thought. This project also involved extending the foundation, new construction from the ground up of one room and some fairly complicated heating and plumbing work based on what was there before. A new bathroom was created based on the previous one, which he had designed for the previous owners. We have no basement for complicated reasons and shrinking the hot water heater to about one tenth the size made a huge difference in creating new indoor space. Happily, everything works and the new construction is much more energy efficient than what preceded it. In general, I found that Tim was well known to the vendors we needed to get things from and it seemed to go smoothly. The one thing that bothered us was that that pace of interior worked slowed down a lot after the exterior work was done. Things happened pretty much according to schedule, but there were gaps between when subcontractors showed up and we struggled with this both because of the personal dislocation and plans to host family for the holidays. I do not know how common this is for this type of work -- it may very well be typical. On the other hand, I appreciated that he painted the interior twice to get the finish that he wanted. Overall, I think we got what we wanted -- an update of a historic house with a much more functional living space in the modernized area, updated heating and air conditioning and a nice update and expansion of the bathroom. Tim and his project manager were easy to work with and gave clear instructions on what we needed to do help them get the work done -- i.e. when decisions needed to be made. Very happy with it. Would note also that parts of this house have now been built in four different centuries, extending from the George Washington administration to the Barack Obama administration. With luck, for a few more. Last word: Building permits are not always easily obtained in flood zones, we learned. If in a low lying area or near the coast, be careful about this.

Tim and Hebert Design Build were SO great to work with. We had a relatively small project (at least a small HOUSE!), and they did an amazing job from start to finish. They made everything easy and stayed on budget throughout. I felt completely comfortable having them in our home, and they did everything they could to make it easy on us. Everything came out beautifully, and they solved all the little problems along the way with ease. Really, they are a great company to work with and I very highly recommend them!!

We bought a fixer upper 2 years ago and every year, I call Hebert Design Build with a new project because they do such an excellent job. They remodeled our kitchen, replaced all the windows in our house, finished our basement, and created a new bathroom for us on top of numerous other projects. The crew is reliable, trustworthy and completes all work quickly and beyond expectations. I highly recommend this company.

After some less than stellar experiences with other design and construction professionals in the past, we were thrilled with every aspect of our experience with Tim Hebert Design Build. Tim is a consummate professional and a pleasure to work with. We have never dealt with a more responsive communicator during all stages of the project. The work entailed redesign of our master bedroom space and a total master bathroom gut, redesign and build. Tim had excellent ideas for aspects of the design we were unsure about. His employees and subcontractors are of the highest quality, and Tim inspects their work constantly to ensure it meets his exacting standards. Work was completed on budget, and the only delays were the fault of a supplier we had contracted with independently. We would never consider hiring anyone but Hebert Design Build going forward. We've found the best.

We found a prospective home in a wonderful condo community. While the exterior was up to date and attractive, the interior was was worn, dismally dated and in need of major interior renovation. We chose Hebert Design Build to plan, manage, and select competent subcontractors to remodel the interior. The result? Hebert Design Build turned ithis dismal condo into an updated home which we can describe as "absolutely fabulous". Not only did Hebert Design Build suggest competent local suppliers, it provided expert flooring, painting, and countertop installers and labor. Hebert Design Build was responsive to our questions and direction throughout the entire project. Best of all, the job was completed on schedule and within the budget! What else could we ask for? We first worked with Hebert Design Build in 2005 to remodel a house in Narragansett that became our permanent residence in June of 2006, and since then have used Hebert Design Build to make other improvements to our home. Photographs of our home speak to the quality, design sense and craftsmanship that Tim Hebert brings to everything he does. But equally impressive is Hebert Design Build as a well managed customer-oriented business. From the very start Hebert Design Build stood out among the half dozen contractors whom we asked to bid on the project. Tim presented us with the most responsive and thorough project plan, one that included a detailed budget, schedules and materials specifications. He was also the first to present a bid. And when the work began, we were equally impressed with how well Tim and his crew executed that plan and kept us fully informed throughout the process. It was with full confidence that we later turned to Hebert Design Build to improve parts of the house not covered in the remodel, and Tim has always responded with thoughtful designs, alternative approaches, and, of course, a detailed project plan. This was remodeling including installation of sub-floor and T&G flooring in two rooms, some minor electrical and painting, complete rebuilding of a basement exterior entry (including a custom copper roof assembled on site), restoration of 19th century glass-paneled pocket doors, and rebuilding a bay window's roof and eaves. All the work was done on time and on budget, and the finished products were of excellent quality. Communications with Tim in advance of and throughout the project was easy and clear, and I would certainly choose him again if/when the need arises.

Tim Hebert was the project superintenent for large, complicated oceanfront renovation project that my firm designed. Tim worked alongside and managed a roster of talented craftsmen, the level of which I haven't experienced since. The project had challenges from start to finish, all related to schedule. Each challenge was answered with a purposeful solution. I spent eighteen months on the project and I'm thankful for the lessons learned and most of all for the outstanding result. It has been a few years (I moved a thousand miles to the South) but I have no reservation recommending any construction related venture that involves Tim Hebert.
