Dayton and his team did a great job with our project. Our project was a large renovation on a house that had decades of deferred maintenance. The end result is a beautiful, up to date home with exquisite finishes. If we had to do it again, I'd hire Hedewood for sure! This is our forever home and we're happy to have it the way we want it thanks to Hedgewood!

We have been very happy with our new custom-build house--lots of attention to detail, forward thinking design that will preserve the house and its value over time. Dayton spent a great deal of his time going through the house details, its features, and answering all of our questions.

We have used Hedgewood Builders personally on multiple occasions and, as the owner of a roofing company, we've see their work for others. Dayton is truly a master craftsman. His attention to quality and detail surpasses any other builder in the area that I've seen. He builds efficient homes that are well thought out, well designed, and often designed by him personally. Dayton Brown is the BEST builder we know. He makes sure things are done correct and if they aren't they WILL BE. He has a lot of different ideas on what to do during building your home. Some things you wouldn't think of. He gets in there and does a lot of the work himself which is good. He explains what needs to be done . You are on a budget and all went really well keeping us on ours., The time frame was perfect even with the cold weather also we were in our house in 7 months which we were told. We met Dayton's family they were so nice and made us feel like family. I have nothing BAD to say about this builder at all. I would recommend him to build or remodel any house I wanted. I'm so glad that we gave him a try. He tried so hard to make us happy with our home and HE DID. Thank you Dayton.

We've loved working with Hedgewood to restore and expand our 1913 historic home. They uniquely understand both how to properly and respectfully renovate a historic home AND how to build a modern custom home. Its been awesome to see them marry these skills to build our dream home. Our project scope is broad including geothermal HVAC, foundation repairs, solar energy and a completely new plumbing and electric system but Dayton and team have been comfortable with all aspects and have skillfully guided us to a project scope that fits our budget and will create a home we are excited to live in with our growing family.

Hedgewood has completed several projects on my 100-year-old historic home. They added a bathtub to an existing bathroom; re-pitched and re-roofed a portion of roof; insulated and replaced siding on a large dormer; repaired water damage to a soffit; replaced three bathroom doors with new doors altered in shop to match existing doors in the home; and most recently revitalized my front porch with a beadboard ceiling, fans, and resurfaced cement steps. The attention to detail that Dayton brings to his craft is unparalleled. To give you a few examples, he mixed two colors of tile grout in three different ways to match my old floors. He dug through old doors in my basement, pulled off beautiful old hinges and doorknobs, cleaned them up in his shop, and used them on new doors so that they would match the rest of the house. He surprised us by installing an appropriate weather seal to our old, huge front door, just because he noticed it wasn't closing/sealing well. When our upstairs bathtub installation led to the discovery of a leaking drainpipe, he was the calming presence who removed and then resinstalled a section of kitchen cabinets so that the plumbers could access the leaking pipe. He has created a new living space for my family on our front porch: we share dinner together there almost every night and spend time together on the swing and in the rocking chairs. From the process of evaluation and estimate through project completion, I have only ever been treated with kindness and honesty. Everyone from Hedgewood who I have interacted with or had do work at my home has been trustworthy and hard working. I can't recommend them enough - for their quality and integrity.

Dayton and his team were so progressional and expeditious! We had him install our new flooring and couldn't be more pleased!!
