I was thrilled with Humberto's team and their work. My home office had a badly water damaged ceiling from a long-untreated leak in the roof from the previous owner. Humberto provided me the best price of the three quotes I got, and I had seen the good reviews here. He was able to schedule a time that week that worked for me. His team showed up exactly on time, got to work and covered all the walls and floors with protective materials. I had a new ceiling completed before noon, and the team vacuumed any dust in the room and hallway. They were extremely professional and I can't believe how great the new ceiling looks. I have a few other projects planned for later this year, and Humberto will be my first call for those.

I had a very old and ugly bathroom, I hated it very much. However, when I talked to HS about an update, and I told him what I wanted, we agreed upon about the project. It took a little longer, but it was worth it. The transformation was total, from ugly and old to modern. I can tell that I'm very satisfied.

We recently had HS General Contracting perform a closet demolition and door installation, design build in cabinets where bookshelves were, interior room painting and other light carpentry projects. Humberto and his team performed high quality work on time, were friendly, professional, and responsive, and kindly accommodated some additional work that was added to the project. They were thoughtful in how they managed the project timeline and spaces as some work created fumes that impacted our toddler's sleeping arrangements. Humberto is an incredible thought partner with excellent ideas. He and his team worked effectively to coordinate their work with other vendors involved in our renovation to ensure that the project was completed on time. It was a pleasure working with Humberto General Contracting, we are very happy with their work, and we highly recommend them.

I have used H&S for the past five years for several jobs. In 2018 they painted my house. I hired them to rebuild a Juliet balcony and to do some replacement of the wood trim around the windows. Most recently they replaced my tub with a walk-in shower, new fixtures and tiling. Humberto has a great crew of workers, very polite, skillful and they cleaned up every day during the bathroom renovation. Their prices are reasonable. I will hire them again for the next renovation. Humberto is easily the best contractor I have worked with, and since I bought a condo that was only partially completed I've dealt with a lot. Tunnel and his team are always on time, clean up well, and do great quality work. We have hired his team several times for work on the building (including a new roof, new porch area, and new side steps) and I've also hired him a number of times for work in my own condo, most recently to install flooring and sand some existing flooring. I 100% recommend his business.

HS Plastering was great! They came fixed a big hole in my ceiling from a leak, painted my living room and added in a little built in shelving unit in a little alcove under our stairs. Everything came out perfect. They were very clean throughout the process making sure at the end of each day there was no mess.

Humberto and his team turned 3 of my textured ceilings perfectly flat using an adhesive, a veneer plaster, and painted using a primer and 2 additional coats of paint. Humberto sent pictures during each step of the process to assure me of the progress and quality of the job. I would hire Humberto for all other ceilings that I want made flat in the future. He attentively listened to all my questions before he started the job, was easy to deal with, and did not leave any type of debris or dust from the job.

Another great job by Humberto and his team! Family room update is the second job he's done for us and we were happy to have him back for this project. The room needed a lot of prep, re-fit and re-set a bunch of baseboards along with painting all walls, trim and ceiling along with some light carpentry detailing. All work was done to the highest standard and with a great attention to detail. Hardworking crew finished the job in a timely manner and were very conscientious about keeping the work area tidy. Job started and finished as promised. Thanks for all and will definitely have you guys back for our next project!

This is the second time we hired Humberto and his team of professionals and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We had updates to three bathrooms to include demo and custom tile in two bathroom showers. Everything was done to our exact specifications even after we changed the details several times. The crew cleaned up each day and were always respectful and prompt. They stayed each day until the tasks of the day were finished enabling the completion timeline to stay in tact. We will have them back to do additional updates to our home soon.

Humberto and his team were referred by a friend who works in the home renovation industry, and we're so glad we went with them. We hired them to remove our front steps, fix our deck, and do some aesthetic improvements to the front of the house (painting, new mailboxes, etc). Humberto was professional and highly responsive throughout the process. He was able to seamlessly subcontract work including a mason and an electrician. We hit a few bumps along the way due to the discovery of some rot and asbestos, and Humberto was very open and communicative regarding changes to the work scope and timing. The end product looked great and the pricing seemed reasonable compared to other quotes we had received.I would highly recommend working with his team. We've already referred him to a number of friends.

Humberto and his team were extremely professional. He painted five rooms in our house, the hallway on both foors, touched up the woodwork, sealed our deck, replastered most of the rooms, installed new trim, and installed two new closets. We were living in the house while this was going on, and he was very accommodating with scheduling the start date, and doing the work in phases so we could move out of some rooms and then back in as the job progressed. His team showed up on time every day and left the house clean every night. The work is exceptional and finished on schedule. I am extremely happy with my experience.

We hired Humberto and his team to paint 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a hallway. We were really impressed with the quality of work that was done. There were several holes in the walls from the previous owners, but now you would never know it. They did excellent prep work and a fabulous jobs painting- our house really looks like new. Humberto responded quickly to emails, was always on time and was very professional. Very please and would highly recommend.

Humberto and his team are just the best! I had old popcorn ceilings in my living room, dining room and foyer that were in bad shape due to age, water damage and just simply that they were textured! HS came in and completely took down the old ceilings to the rafters, re-insulated with high quality insulation, plastered and painted all surfaces. I have cathedral ceilings in 2 of the three areas so this was a pretty big job. HS did it perfectly. Their attention to detail and the care they take in protecting your house is exceptional. As we went along, I did make some changes in the scope of the project and it was no problem. My extra stuff was folded in seamlessly. Part of my renovation included replacing some windows. The window people found rot in the sill just before they installed and Humberto was able to come in to fix the rotted sills. I will definitely hire HS for other jobs. The quality of the work and the friendly but professional team is a cut above. Thanks for all Humberto!!

As an owner of a multi family in Boston I have a lot of experience with contractors. Humberto and team did an awesome job plastering, painting and installing baseboard in my new kitchen and other areas. They are honest, respectful, and do great work at reasonable prices. Will definitely hire them again.

As others have noted, Humberto was excellent with responding quickly, providing a fair cost estimate, communicating on arrival times, and providing polite and skilled painters to complete the job. Humberto and his crew did a wonderful job at our condo. Humberto came out quickly to estimate the job. We felt his prices were reasonable. We needed our ceilings painted and a couple soffits boarded and redone. The crew was on time and did excellent work. The crew spent a lot of time caulking the ceiling edge so the ceilings look so much better. Our ceilings were textured, so we wanted to have them sprayed instead of rolled. HS painting exceeded our expectations!

I hired Humberto initially to work on work to the inside of my house caused by a water leak upstairs. The original job was to check the wall to be sure there was no mold, and then paint the entire downstairs hallway and ceiling in the dining room. I had then wanted to extend the painting and asked for further work to be performed to the front hall as well. Humberto was very accommodating to my changing plans. I also asked Humberto to replace some wood rot on outside posts and railings. I am very happy with the work Humberto and his team performed. He was very professional, showed up on time, provided easy to follow estimates and change order requests to be sure we were all on the same page. I would hire Humberto again no questions.

Humberto and his team are absolutely phenomenal to work with. We recently purchased an older home that had some interesting color choices from the previous owners. It was also in desperate need of having the woodwork and baseboards touched up due to peeling and chipped paint. The entire process was incredibly smooth, and he was very accommodating when we realized at the last minute that our kitchen cabinets needed to be painted as they no longer matched the new trim. We couldn't be happier with the work they have done, and will absolutely use them again in the future as we continue renovating additional floors of our home. In the words of our electrician - "You can come paint my house anytime." If only I could take credit!

This is the third time I have used HS Plastering's services. Humberto the principal is easy going and takes care in understanding your needs. He is very approachable and willing to go the extra mile. On the first job he helped finish a 1/2 bath and painted it, it was tricky as it was a small space. On the second job he painted two rooms and all the trim in them. This last time his team painted outside and inside for us and even though I kept adding to the job Humberto was flexible and understanding. Time him a chance and you will not be disappointed.

We needed to have our rental unit painted and turned around on a quick timeline. Humberto and his crew were able to come in, quote the job, and get it scheduled (and then completed) extremely quickly. And the quality of the work was uniformly excellent. The unit looks brand new after the painting work (and some minor plastering and repair work). I can't recommend HS Plastering and painting highly enough. They were an absolute delight to work with, and the pricing was very reasonable for the quality of the work they do.

I picked Humberto's company after seeing his positive reviews on Houzz and I was really pleased with his work. His prices were reasonable. He wrote a clear contract detailing all the work that he was going to do. He painted almost an entire triplex. A lot of the work involved trimmings and stairs which can be tricky. He painted everything to perfection, paying attention to the details. He accommodated my dates, so that we would be away while he painted. He completed it on time and within budget. When we came back, the house was completely clean.

I hired HS Plastering and Painting after a water leak from a Condo above my unit caused water damage on the ceiling and walls inside a closet, with damage extending only slightly to the ceiling outside the closet. Humberto was great to work with from start to finish. He replaced the ceiling inside the closet where there was clearly more water damage, and painted the closet ceiling and walls. He let me know he could not guarantee matching the ceiling paint just outside the closet, but I wanted to save money for now and he did a great job matching it. His price was better than the other quotes and I am very happy with the results. I would definitely hire him again.

Hired Humberto and crew for ceiling, carpentry and painting work. They quoted the job at a very reasonable price and completed it on time and on budget. The entire crew was neat, clean, polite, and very helpful to us. They took great care to protect the rest of the house while they worked and they cleaned up very well. The work itself was excellent! I recently had the exterior of my home painted, Everything about the job was first class. The preparation ( scraping, etc) was better than ever had been done previously. The workers were extremely neat---vacuuming every day after the clean up. The work was done on time with beautiful results. The painters were all courteous & professional. A 5 Star Job!!

The work HS Plastering & Painting did in my home is excellent. They did a few jobs, but two in particular were, what I considered to be, very challenging. When our replacement windows were installed, the carpenter didn't repair/paint the exposed outdoor trim, and over time it was a mess. HS scraped the trim of each window down to bare wood, treated it, and applied the finish coats of paint. These windows are now gorgeous. The second problem was my living room ceiling which had suffered water damage. I was concerned about plaster dust on the furniture and "treasures" in the room. Humberto told me to touch nothing, he'd do it all--and he did. Everything fragile was removed to the dining room table. He covered everything else with brand new plastic drop cloths, He then covered everything with clean painters' cloths. The ceiling is now like porcelain. Humberto's cleanup left the room cleaner than when he arrived. HS makes appointments and keeps them--to the minute! Humberto and his staff are quiet, don't blast a radio, and don't smoke. They were very good with my dogs. Humberto called some weeks later to see if I was still satisfied with the work. HS prices are extremely fair. I would never hesitate to hand over keys and have them working in my house when I'm not there. I will definitely have them back for further work. You will not find a better company for painting, plastering, and carpentry.

HS Plastering and Painting just completed an exterior painting job for a 2-family house in Belmont. They did a careful, clean, and meticulous job. The results look terrific. And they were excellent to work with. Humberto da Silva, the owner, was prompt in bidding on the job, and he committed to the materials we wanted and the date we requested. His price was in the mid-range of bids, with several small extras thrown in. We knew in advance when each step of the job would occur, so we could prepare things and notify the folks living there. Communication was easy. And it was all done in 2 weeks. We highly recommend HS Plastering and Painting!

I hired H&S to do both painting and plastering. Humberto has a wonderful temperment and is so easy to work with. H&S employees are meticulous. Their prep work is outstanding which inturn makes the final result immaculate. I leave them alone in my home with complete trust. Truly a great company. HS Plastering and Painting saved us from a DIY bathroom renovation gone awry! We had taken down the bathroom walls ourselves and started putting up sheetrock, when we quickly realized we were in over our head. Humberto and his crew installed the remaining wallboard, applied plaster, and painted. In addition, they repaired our bathroom ceiling by installing sheetrock, applying plaster, and painting. In addition to the bathroom, the ceilings in two bedrooms were refinished. One ceiling needed plaster patching to repair an area of water damage. The other ceiling also had peeling paint and was repaired with sheetrock and plaster. Both ceilings were then painted. Humberto and his crew were fantastic and we will definitely hire them again for future projects. The quality of work is amazing. We're so happy with our new rooms! Humberto scheduled the first day of work within a week of us contacting him. He responded to all emails within the same day and always arrived on time or even early! In addition, Humberto and his crew were professional, courteous, and very neat. I highly recommend HS Plastering & Painting.

We hired HS to repair water damaged walls in two bedrooms and one bathroom. The work was done well and quickly. Humberto is a very nice guy. I would hire HS again in the future.

We used H&S to paint our entire home prior to moving in. Everyone we worked with - especially our designer - was impressed with the work Humberto and team did. Our carpenters ran late completing trim, but Humberto took it in stride and kept the paint project on time and to budget. The house looks fantastic. We are planning to use H&S to paint the outside of our home when that project comes up too. I was particularly impressed with Humberto and his team's professionalism - they were always on time, thorough, and kept me apprised of the progress. He also kept strictly to the pre-agreed upon budget and was totally transparent and shared estimates upfront whenever I asked about doing additional work.

Humberto was professional, punctual, and pleasant throughout a project that involved repairing a cracked, water-damaged living-room beam and repainting the large living room where the beam is located. There was a minor setback in that the beam required more intensive repair than had been anticipated, thereby expanding the scope of the project. However, Humberto addressed it promptly. I appreciated that he checked with me, a couple of weeks after the work was completed, to make sure that no further problem had occurred.

What I really liked about Humberto and his crew was that they really got things done. Humberto came to do the estimate immediately, and after I agreed to the price he scheduled the work right away. They came on time and they got right to work. They did all the work they said they were going to do and once they were done they cleaned everything up and left me with a spectacularly finished walls and ceilings. In the following 2 weeks I hired them again to do another project in a rental property I own and I would definitely use Humberto and his crew again because like I said they get stuff done and there was really no hassle or issues. UPDATE: In August 2016 we used Humberto and his crew for a third project, an attic renovation, and they have once again exceeded expectations in not only quality, but also speed and efficiency. He is my go-to guy now for any and all plastering or painting projects. QED.
